Joe came and did a pre-listing inspection for us. He went through the house with a fine tooth comb and found many defects that we were unaware of and that we will fix prior to listing. He scheduled the appointment, showed up on time, completed the inspection in the estimated time frame and got the report to us later the same evening. He communicated very well both before and after the service. We will use him again for sure!

This was absolutely the best experience I have ever had for an inspection. We needed a family home inspected and it was so thoroughly done that I was shocked. Not only did he do a thorough job, but the automation of everything made it so easy! He went above and beyond and ended up spending almost 5 hours in this home to find every little thing we should consider. I would hire this guy to do anything! He is incredible.

We were very impressed with Joe Funderburk with Alpha & Omega Home Inspections for the inspection of our new home. Before the inspection, he communicated efficiently through phone, text, and email. During the inspection, he was very thorough and professional. He explained to us what he was seeing and doing, and he gave us a clear understanding of the condition of the house and property. In addition, he coordinated with a termite inspector who did his inspection at the same time as Joe. We received the inspection report very promptly and it was very detailed with clear explanations and photos. Joe continued to answer our questions after the inspection as well. The inspection report states that there is a furnace powering the heat in the house and that the heat in the house is powered by natural gas. Six months after purchasing our home, we need the heater working and it isn't. Three separate heating and air companies have come by to look at our system, and by all accounts (except Alpha & Omega's) our heat is running exclusively on electrical heat strips (no natural gas, no furnace). Our energy bills are through the roof to run these heat strips and every heating and air professional has indicated that running electrical heat strips is a completely ineffective and inefficient way to heat a home. While Alpha & Omega inspection pointed out some useful superficial changes we should ask the seller to make--now that we own the home, we would much prefer he had knowledge of and pointed out the substantial issues with the home (like "There is no way that this heating system will keep this home warm in the winter."). I believe that this is information an inspector should be able to determine without calling in a specialized HVAC inspector. Hugely disappointed with the lack of relevant information provided in the inspection report.

Was able to talk directly to Joe. He came home himself and completed all the inspections. Started on time and was still working when I left. Detailed and specific report with pictures were helpful. Would call Joe again, if needed :)

The inspection by owner, Joe Funderburk, was thorough and explained in detail to us. I learned a great deal from the inspection and it made me aware of things we needed to request repair on from the sellers that I would have had no idea about. Both a "long" buyers report and a "shorter" report to share with the sellers were provided. The website also allowed me to prepare a specific report requesting repairs and using both photos and written explanation. Joe was professional and helpful and I am quite happy that I found him for this service. While he inspected, he let me use his laser measure to determine size of rooms in preparation for moving!

Joe was meticulous. We were on the fence as to how necessary an inspection was for our home and are so grateful we had one. He was kind, spelled things out for us in a manner that was easy to understand and clearly had our best interest in mind. He provided us with an extensive list that we submitted to the builder and everything was rectified or is being addressed. I would recommend his services to anyone.

Joe was very easy to communicate with. He responded quickly, showed up on time and was very thorough with his inspection. He was also available to me after the inspection to talk about anything in the report I did not understand .

It went very well. Joe was punctual to our appointment and stayed in communication with me from the time I hired him through the completion of the inspection and radon report. He did a great job identifying concerns during the home inspection and took excellent photos. One part of the inspection report was not worded in a way that I wished to present to the seller; however, Joe was very agreeable to modify the wording when I asked him to. I would use him again.

This is my first time home buying and new to the whole process of inspection. Joe made the process super easy and explained everything that was going to happen including giving examples and answering any questions i had. Joe was thorough, complete, and professional. His report is awesome because he records the process, takes pictures to make it more clear and later dictates it to the report so you get all the details. He uses laymen terms, which I appreciated.Strongly recommended! You will be very pleased with the level of detail in his reports and the speed at which he completes them.

Fantastic experience. Joe is very thorough and knowledgeable in all aspects of home inspection. Communication was exceptional. He was very helpful in explaining the implications of his findings. His written report covered every aspect of the inspection and will serve as a useful reference after we move into the home. We are buying the property with a much higher degree of confidence thanks to Joe's professional service and advice. I consider the very reasonable fee to have been an investment in our property rather than an expense of the purchase.

Being an engineer I was looking for someone thorough and knowledgeable. I was extremely impressed by the professionalism and attention to detail during the process. I am hiring him again for a follow up inspection on home repairs that are being completed by the seller.

I was on the fence about getting an inspection because I had been given advice that the house was "new enough" to not have any major problems. Upon the inspection results I was very glad that I had chosen to get an inspection and to go with Alpha and Omega inspections. I believe Joe did an absolutely excellent job with the inspection of my house. I was very impressed with his attention to detail and all the things he noticed that I never would have. Joe offered me a very fair price for my inspection, it took him about 2 and a half hours to complete the inspection and I received a text message letting me know he was wrapping up and to head on over. What I was very grateful for was that Joe mentioned things that were against code, against common practice and/or things that would alarm him if he was buying the house. One thing that stood out in particular was his mentioned that the house was not wrapped before having the vinyl siding installed. He talked about how this raised concerns that if they were willing to skip out on this during the build, what else would they be willing to go cheap on or leave out. In the end, the inspection helped me to decide that the house was not for me due to the issues and the seller not willing to address any of them. Given that things did not work out for me on the house I had inspected I will be calling on the excellent work of Alpha and Omega inspections again in my near future. Joe is a great man and I honestly believe you are wasting your money going with someone else over Alpha and Omega inspections.
