John did a great job! He was on time and the job went just as described.

Called early; able to come same day & fixed problem - Intense problem; friendly employees & knowledgable; expensive.

I was renting out a room in my house, so I felt obligated to fix the water heater quickly. I had trouble getting any other plumber to come out quickly, but these guys could. There was a minimum charge of $39 to send the guy which I agreed to. He came and described to me the problem. He gave me options for repairing and replacing the water heater. Both were much more expensive than other estimates I heard from other plumbers over the phone, but this guy was there and could do the work immediately. I paid $264 on top of my $39 to replace a thermocoupler. The plumber got to my house within an hour of calling the company. The plumber was very professional and my water heater still works a year and a half later. My only complaint with these guys is they seemed way overpriced. In an emergency I'd use these guys again in a heartbeat, but for anything else I'd look for someone more reasonably priced.

Overcharged and spent the majority of time in his truck

The last interaction we had with them was wonderful. I have never have had anybody in my home who was this nice and professional. The guy that came was awesome. They did not charge us anything. They even cleaned up everything. They checked everything once before they left. They were very thorough. I highly recommend them. I think their price was fair compared to others. The quality of work they did was very good.

We checked on "Angie's List" for a plumber to look at our 9 year old water heater and fix/replace it. After we compared 3 of them, we called "Benjamin Franklin -The Punctual Plummer", and are certainly glad we did! They were professional (the Receptionist, and the 2 Technicians - Jon was one of them - the other one came later to assist him with the heavy water heater), punctual, and thorough in describing the problem and what they had to do (replace the 75 gal. water heater), giving us several purchase options. They cleaned up after themselves and took the old water heater away. We are very pleased, and if we need a plumber again, will call them.

I was leaving to catch a flight out of town for several days. Before I left the house I heard the downstairs toilet gurgling. My wife was still in the upstairs shower so I wasn't able to mention it to her before I left. she soon called with the devastating news that the drain lines were all backed up.I had heard several good stories from friends about Ben Franklin plumbing, so I gave them a call. They quickly dispatched a technician to help with our problem. He was extremely professional by surveying the situation and explaining it to my wife and then calling me on the phone as well. Because we had planned on making some minor changes to the downstairs bathroom anyway, and his truck had all the parts- we not only got our repairs made, but had some additional work done as well. I'm sure no one is delighted with the news of a tree growing through the main sewer line in the yard, but we were quite relieved that not only could the technician take care of the problem for us- he could do it right then. I more than pleased for several reasons. They were up front and honest about everything that needed to be done, bot more importantly- they were able to handle the situation of me being out of town and both my wife and me being extremely nervous about the entire situation. It was a difficult situation and I don't know how they could have handled it any better. The technician they sent out, Mike, was a real professional. I am deeply grateful. I also felt the charges were more than fair.

They did a good job, they fixed the problem. They were extremely expensive for what they did.

We had 2 plumbing issues - a water leak somewhere and low shower pressure. The Ben Franklin plumber fixed the shower head and now I can rinse the shampoo out of my hair without spending 20 minutes in the shower. We also had 3 leaky toilets, which we replaced 2 days later. They were very quick and professional. Respectful of my home and children.

Their prices were very high. However, I would use them again in the future.

Following their service the pilot light started going out about once a month. This had never happened before. When called back to fix the problem, they denied having touched the area of the pilot light and sensors -- but the owner had seen them do it. They made a very favorable impression on their first visit but completely destroyed it, and any trust, with their later action.

Overall, I paid too much and the contractor tried to do additional work on the side - not professional.

Their work is incredible. If they are ever late they will pay for a certain amount for the minutes they are late. Hence, the company's name. The cost might be a little more then other companies to have the work done but you really get what you pay for and they do an excellent job.

No problem with quality of work or service technician but feel that the fee was outrageous. Cost of disposal was approx. $75 - job was straight forward with no problems and technician was gone in 30 minutes or less. I will always request an itemized estimate in the future.

Our window time was between 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. On a Friday p.m. Office called and said the plumber got tied up on his last job, and he would be here 1st thing on Monday a.m. Even with a coupon to replace a flapper was $129.00 I called and talked with owner and said I felt I was due $45.00 back because I did not get a call until 4:09 saying the plumber would not be here Friday p.m. The company advertises $5.00 per minute if their tech's are late. He was cordial and agreed with me. But that has been 4 weeks ago and no check yet. I'll post if and when I get the $45.00.The company owner called and thanked me for my patience in waiting for the $45.00 late refund he had promised. I received it last week.

The worker they sent out was very helpful and knowledgeable. He offered suggestions as to how to install it in a way to maximize space. What really impressed me is that was that the company's van was extremely well-organized. The worker was courteous. They were accommodating of my husband's schedule, and they were right on time. I would recommend them to a family member or a friend. The work took about the length of time we expected. He certainly wasn't slow.

This company did an awesome job. The job was done on a little pricier side of things, but I cannot complain. For the quality of work, and the way that they came as soon as I needed them, I would pay the extra money any day. I thought that the employees were very friendly, and understood the bad situation that I was in at the time. I am very impressed with this company! Usually you don t replace a hot water tank so early, but I bought a bad brand, so I needed a good company in a hurry.

The service was exactly what I needed. They did a very good job of taking the problem away. I can't say enough about how high priced plumbers are and they are not an exception either. The price was silly. Other than that, I was okay with every other aspect especially the result.

Benjamin Franklin was here in a short time. He did remove the bolt but it cost us just over $100 for him to do this five-minute job. Yes he would have installed the faucet too, but that would have cost us an additional $100 and some for him to do that. We already had the faucet. Needless to say, we installed the faucet ourselves. They are a professional company, but the prices are high. We called them because my husband tried unsuccessfully for an hour to remove the bolt, and even cut his hand in the process.

I am very pleased with the work done by Benjamin Franklin. The plumber knew exactly what he was doing and was sure to take care of my entire extra request with no hassle at all. I have had no issues with the toilets at all since. I will continue to use Benjamin Franklin in the future.

I would tell my friends not to use this company. Yes, they did install a new flusher properly. It took only 50 minutes and it cost $169.00. It was just a basic job. The guy actually tried to charge me $300, but I told him that I talked to the person on the phone, and thought it was only going to be $50 - $75. It is no wonder they can be the punctual plumber because after people find out how expense they are, they will never call them again.

The thing I liked most about their service was that the man who came out was very neat, professional, and clean cut looking. He was very trusting and he was also on time. The job he did was pretty unique and they did an excellent job.

Their service was good and they had to snake our septic system. They only took about an hour, so that was good and it's been fine ever since. I'd look around before I hired them again, though based on how expensive they were. I just thought they were a bit pricey was all.

We felt the pricing was very high, I really had a good experience to speak of. The serviceman was on time and didn't make any messes in getting the clogged pipe unclogged. It was quick and convenient service and couldn t complain about the good results.

This was the first time, I used this company. When the worker explained about the problem, he made it seem like it was a huge problem. He spent only two hours fixing the leaking problem, but I think he charged me way too much for the job. The work was ok because they fixed the problem. The workers were on time, but I don't think they're very professional, as they overcharged me.
