I received quote which included pictures of repairs that would be done. All went like clockwork. Excellent craftsmanship. Very reasonable price. Couldn't be happier.

Had rotted wood trim by front porch. Great communication. Did quote with no one home and not charging a fee just to come by like a lot of companies do. Fair cost and a 6 month guarantee. Will use again.

American Handiwork’s did an excellent job on minor repairs. Nathan came just when he promised and he and his helper worked efficiently and with a minimum of disturbance. They are also courteous, friendly, and respectful of the property. Others may be cheaper, but in my experience none are as good.

Nathan built and stained/sealed a beautiful new deck for my family and I in early May of this year. He is very polite, professional, courteous, and an extremely hard worker. He did the majority of the project in 90+ degree heat by himself! The project would have been completed much sooner, had it not been for the 2 straight weeks of rain that followed. Nathan is also very creative. My wife and I had a concept in our heads as to the style of a new staircase and left it up to him to be the artist. He came through in a BIG way despite many challenges with unevenly pitched surfaces upon which we asked him to build. He also fixed a gate on our fence while he was here. He completed the job under budget, with no surprises in regards to needing more money for materials or anything like that. We absolutely love the work he did for us and would absolutely recommend him!

This is an FYI to anybody trying to schedule. I contacted Nathan initially April 6th for some fascia and soffit repair, plus painting.. He came that evening to give me a quote. He said I'd have the paperwork by the end of the day. I didn't. I called him, left a message to let him know and confirm my email address. The next afternoon I still had nothing. Called him again, and then that night the quote came. A couple days later I emailed him asking to have some of the work descoped. I clearly asked him if it would be okay, since the job would be significantly reduced in size. Several days went by and I didn't have a response.. I called him a few times during this period and then eventually he replied in email that the smaller job was fine. He said he'd call to get my payment information and then schedule the work. He called within 24 hours, I gave him my credit card information over the phone. He said he'd be here week of 4/16. This was communicated on 4/11. On 4/18 I hadn't heard from him, so I called and asked for him to let me know when he planned on coming because I have other work dependent on his work being coompleted. AND I had told him I was in a hurry because I was doing remediation for my homeowners insurance company. He knew this. He said multiple times he could meet the deadline of 4/21, no problem. I called again the next day because he never called me back. At this point it's 4/19. He finally called and said he'd be here Saturday, 4/21. Then he said he'd come 4/20 instead because it would be a fast job. He said he'd be here at 4pm. He never showed up or called. Yesterday, 4/21, I waited to see if he'd call to explain himself or show up. He did neither. I finally called again this morning and left him a voicemail asking him to throw away my credit card information. (He never charged my card, to his credit. But I will still order a new one.) I'm furious, disappointed and totally screwed. I have missed my deadline and it's not good for the insurance situation. Nathan had many opportunities to tell me he was too busy, the work was too small, or that he was having personal issues. He failed to get back to me timely during the entire ordeal. I wasted weeks on him when I could have been looking for someone else, What kind of a person does this to another? Honestly, I'm flabbergasted. He just didn't show up after assuring me he could meet the deadline. Zero communication. I had to chase the guy all over the place for answers. Perhaps I'm a fool. So, beware to all you. I tried to go to the Better Business Bureau but this company is not accredited y them. Utterly amazing he is still in business.

Nathan showed up on time. Did quality work and repaired extra damaged area that he saw with no additional cost. He cleaned up area extremely well.

Friendly and helpful, and prompt. The painting on the floor, especially, could have been done better, I think they were in a hurry to get finished. After the construction was done, there was some debris that got painted over (pine straw, leaves, nails). Nothing major, just a bit of a mystery...

Very friendly and easy to talk with.Very good work with no mess left behind.Project was scheduled for a specified date to be performed but did not find out until I contacted contractor to learn they were a day behind schedule.Contractor should have called customer with the delayed start rather than customer calling contractor in middle of day to get status. Overall very pleased and satisfied with all aspects of the job performed.. Will use again for future improvements and repairs.
