Innovative Door Systems

On the morning of 24 November, John said he would arrive on 27 November between 1030 and 1100. When I asked John about discounts, Angie's List or military, he said he did not have any even though Angie's List showed a coupon for 'Innovative Door Systems' "5% off First Time Service for Angie's List Members." After he received photos of the garage door (inside and out) and dimensions I sent him per his request, he sent a text message adjusting the time. On 27 November, I phoned him asking where he was; sounded like I woke him. He said he had a crew coming to my home. I told him I thought I was meeting with him; price and work had not been previously agreed upon. John said the crew was only five miles away; I told him that if the crew did not arrive during the next five minutes to reschedule for the next day at 1000 A.M.; I had adjusted my schedule already and had things to do. As I was driving away, I meet the crew and told them I had spoken with their 'boss' and could not wait any longer. My time may not be valuable to John, but it sure is to my family and me. The next day, neither John nor anyone else arrived

The spring on our 30 year old wooden garage door broke and we were unable to open garage. Called Innovative Door Systems after searching Angies List. Picked IDS based on excellent reviews and also because they were local to Easley, SC. John arrived promptly within 1 hour of my call and assessed the situation. We decided to install a new triple insulated Amarr door that was long overdue. New door was ordered and IDS arrived promptly when promised one week later and installed new door. The new door is fantastic and such an improvement over our old heavy wooden door. Crew arrived on time and did a wonderful job. Very professional and efficient. Cleaned up when finished and could not even tell they were here. Would highly recommend IDS to anyone needing garage door repair, service or installation.

Called this company on a Thursday evening when I discovered our garage door spring had broke. The set an appointment for the next day at 2. Tech showed up right on time and quickly replaced the damaged springs and verified proper operation. Highly recommend.

It was just fine. They did a good job. They came on time, did what they said they would do and charged me what they said they would charge. That's really all you can expect. I did not compare prices with anyone else so I do not know if it is a good deal or not a good deal. They did not do anything wrong. The only thing they did was tell me they thought the motor was about to burn out and left a card saying that if it did to call them. The motor has not burned out so this was not a big deal. They were fine; I would recommend them.

For one door, it was $99. For the other door, he had to order some parts for. The man was very nice. It was pretty quick. Everything was just as he found it.

Repairman diagnosed and corrected problem within minutes. He was very personable and professional. When he didn't arrive within the time frame he had given me, I called and got an immediate answer. He apologized and said he was on his way. He arrived in less than 10 minutes from the time I called. I would definitely do business with this company again.

John provided the service that was purchased through Angie's list and tried to fix the problem with the remote control. Turned out the circuit board in the motor burned out and being 20 years old it couldn't be repaired. He showed up as scheduled to replace the motor and I love the quietness, my 2 new remotes and the exterior keypad!! Excellent customer service.

They did quality work. They showed up when they were supposed to. He was a good guy and looks professional. He does not have a cheap price but you get what you paid for. Everything worked well, the door does not look bad and there is no problem with my garage door. They have a 24 hours service, so you can call them anytime.

John arrived at the scheduled time, and got right to work. The whole operation took less than 30 minutes, and now the garage door works perfectly.

Went very well. Very efficient and knew what they were doing. Had to make 2 trips since I made a request to replace some of the molding. Called when they were running a few minutes late and prior to their arrival.

Service tech called to report that he would be 5 to 10 minutes late, which was fine with me as I was also running slightly late. Accessed the situation and had the springs replaced in less that 30 minutes. Fine job!

Overall the service was very good. Upon arrival, the technician was very professional, and courteous. He quickly, and efficiently completed the work performed including removal, and replacement of every roller of the garage door. He lubricated all joints, and tracks of the door. Most importantly, as I was interested, he was very willing to allow me to watch him work, and ask him questions, and he was more than willing to answer, and give me tips. The issues I gave less than perfect rating on were because of these reasons. Price - This is really on me because I purchased the deal at that price, but have since seem similar issues for $20-$25 less. I am aware even as writing this that you never know what kind of service would have been received from other companies where this guy was great. Punctuality- Only real issue with these guys. When purchasing the deal I was asked for three dates, and time frames when work could be scheduled. Upon receiving the call from the supplier, they didn't really pay attention to what I completed online. Secondly, on the day of service, they had given me a window of "one, or two o'clock", which was no problem. At 2:30, I had to call to check on them, and very quickly got a call from the tech himself stating he was running late but would be at the house in 15 minutes. It was 30 minutes after that call when he arrived. Some might think this isn't a big deal at all, and I will admit there are bigger issues in the world, but as I'm expected to be on time in my day to day life, I only expect the same from others, and if not, I would expect them to contact me, rather than me needing to track them down

Unfortunately, at the end of the repair the door did not work at all, when before it worked when using the remote. The technician advised that I probably needed a new motor as the old one was not apparently able to move the door. It was quite disappointing to have a working door (although haltingly) and after a repair not work at all.

I purchased an Angie's List Deal for my garage door. It had not been serviced and need some TLC. I was pleased with the service. I also got an extra remote. Service was prompt and courteous. Don't hesitate to use them!
