I really haven't been happy with them. I find their prices to be very high, but the quality of work is ok. They sent someone to do the maintenance on the boiler and he didn't really seem to know what he was doing. He changes two filters and the nozzle on my oil furnace so he has about $8 invested and spends less than an hour of his time doing the work so to me it's a waste of money. I was expecting that at the beginning of every season they would contact me and let me know I was due, but I am finding that I have to call them. They deliver oil on a scheduled basis and they usually show up well before I need a full tank so they're delivering more often than they need to. I have dealt with their office help over the phone and they are ok, but it's never the same person twice. I plan to either hire someone else or do it myself.

I have been told numerous times by friends and family that I am paying too much for my oil. Six months ago a friend showed me a web site that lists the lowest and highest prices for home heating oil in RI (no names). Once a month for six months after confirming the HIGHEST price in the state on line, I called Petro for their price. You guessed it! Every single month the highest priced oil in the state was Petro. I have no qualms about their delivery and service, but lets face it, it is just oil.

They did a really good job. They came out on Christmas Eve or Christmas day and fixed the issue with our boiler. They are reliable and the quality of their work was very good. They didn’t have the part for the boiler but knew someone who did. They went and got it from them who happened to be one of their customers. They always clean up after themselves which is wonderful. They are some of the few people that I know in Rhode Island who come over when they say they would.

It has worked very well and has been very energy efficient. I am very glad we did it. The work was very satisfactory. They were very courterous and clean. I would recommend them.

Oil delivery was fine, although Petro tended to be more expensive per gallon than some other companies. Service was OK, and they did come out after midnight once, when our boiler had issues. However, they did a bad job of installing our new oil tank, failing to replace the intake pipe, which now leaks. They are also not good on customer service on the phone--you get random call centers and people who don't know you or your service agreement. It took us months last year to straighten out a mistake that they made. I would not recommend this company to others.

They are very responsive. We have had only one delivery so far.

Came home on Christmas day to find my house cold and my heat broke. Leaving on vacation the next day. Used Petro for oil delivery (paid me $100) at very good prices (they nearly went bankrupt the next year) but had dropped the $150 service contract month before since they could not schedule cleaning. Called Petro at 7:00 and started troubleshooting. Discovered it was the controller. Can't fix myself in time. Phone operator kept saying someone would come out, they'd call me back, etc. Finally at 2AM, pitched a fit. Very nice service person came out and installed controller at 3:30. He had been on call from 7-12 and lived in town next to mine but had no calls until he was woken up at 2:30. Gave lots of details how the old company was being ruined by incompetent central office. The part costs about $80 -- they charged $400 for part and about one hour of work. I ended my relationship with Petro based on this experience.

I found it very frustrating to deal with Petro. Customer Service people gave me misinformation several times. I was supposed to have one visit for annual maintenance covered, but was told that a new contract would be needed. When trying to understand the service plans and methods to lock in oil price, I was left baffled. I finally gave up on them and did not renew the contract.

WE HAVEN'T HAD TO CALL THEM VERY MUCH, BUT WHEN WE DO, THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL. WE HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE HEATER SINCE THEY HAVE MAINTAINED IT.

THIS IS THE COMPANY THAT I ALWAYS CALL WHENEVER I HAVE ANY PROBLEMS. THEY COME OUT AND DO WHATEVER I NEED WITH NO HASSLE. THEY ARE A LOCAL COMPANY AND EVERYONE I KNOW USES THEM.

THEY ARE VERY PROMPT IN RETURNING MY CALLS AND I AM VERY SATISFIED. THEY HAVE BEEN VERY GOOD TO ME AND I HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE THAT THEY HAVE GIVEN ME.

THIS COMPANY MAKES SURE TO DO A THOROUGH JOB. THEY LOOKED OVER THE ENTIRE HEATING SYSTEM EVEN THOUGH THEY HAD ALREADY FIXED THE PROBLEM. THEY DID FIND A BIRD'S NEST IN MY CHIMNEY, SO THEY CLEANED IT OUT FOR FREE! THAT IS GREAT SERVICE!

I FEEL GOOD KNOWING THAT THIS COMPANY IS READY TO HELP ME AT ANYTIME. THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PLEASANT AND HAVE NEVER LEFT A MESS. THEIR SERVICE IS ALWAYS PROMPT. I HAVE A SERVICE CONTRACT WITH THIS COMPANY.

THEY WERE EXPENSIVE, BUT VERY PUNCTUAL. THE QUALITY OF THE WORK WAS JUST OKAY AND IT WAS NOT WORTH THE PRICE I PAID. THEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL WHEN THEY CAME OUT I JUST THINK THEY COULD HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB.

WE REALLY LIKED THEIR SALESMAN. HE WAS NOT HIGH-PRESSURE AND WAS VERY HONEST ABOUT EVERYTHING. THERE WERE NO SURPRISES WHEN THE JOB WAS DONE. I HAVE ALREADY RECOMMENDED THEM TO A FRIEND WHO ALSO WAS HAPPY WITH THE WORK THAT THEY DID.

THEY ARE VERY GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO. THEY DID THEIR JOB VERY PROFESSIONALLY AND EFFECTIVELY. WE WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THE SERVICE THAT WE RECEIVED, AND HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE FURNACE.

THEY ARE WAY TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THIS SERVICE BUT THEY DO A THOROUGH JOB. THEY WERE VERY PROMPT AND PROFESSIONAL. I DIDN'T HAVE TO WAIT FOR THEM TO COME, AS THEY CAME THE SAME DAY.
