Melvin Power Wash

Description of Work: Power washed deck and stairs, then restained. They are one of the finest professionals I have found through Angie's list. Incredibly responsible, respectful, punctual and hard working. Will use them next year.

Description of Work: I had a coupon for $200.00 to power wash and seal my deck. When he got here he said it was only for 200 square feet. My deck was a little larger than that and I was charged an additional $150. I asked if it could be $125 and he said yes but that was the lowest he would go. The results of the power wash was good. I asked if all was done and he said he'd come back the next day to seal it. He never showed up for three appointments I had to make and never called to let me know. After the third missed appointment I called them and said I called Angie's List to report them and I was going to sue to get my money back. He was here in 20 minutes. Was here for 15 minutes. It rained here and water didn't bead up it soaked into the wood. They wouldn't put all the items they removed from my deck except for my swing. Broke the hose holder attached to my deck. I would like my money back!

Description of Work: I had different job done than simple power-wash and seal. When estimate was made I explained that our deck had been painted with a poor quality "DECK PAINT". If I provided the deck paint could Melvin and crew sand down edges properly to put on 2 coats of DECK-OVER by Home DEPOT. -- a much better quality deck paint. He quoted me a a price and scheduled a date and time. He and his crew OF 1 other guy) came and completed the job with 2 coats in 4 hours. Spectacular Job and we plan to contact him over the summer for some indoor work. Good, hardworking outfit. Definitely recommend them to friends and family!

Description of Work: Power washed the cement deck surrounding pool. They were prompt and did a nice job, the cement was definitely cleaner.

Description of Work: I signed up for the service but was told when they arrived that the special price for "15 windows" was for what they called "regular" windows--not windows with storm windows. That was not clear in the description and I'm not sure where in New England a "regular" window would NOT have storms. Seriously? Anyway, I got my deposit back and just lost a vacation day so I'll know next time to 'interrogate' the special offers.

Description of Work: The power washing of the house was fine but many of the windows were not rinsed well enough so they were all streaked. The gutters were suppose to be cleaned but we're not. They just need to slow down and make sure all of the above problems are done.

Description of Work: Overall Melvyn's did a good job. They remounted a gutter and washed and sealed outdoor decks. Only reason not an A is that in places they washed out too much of the stain and they dragged outdoor furniture around instead of lifting it, leaving marks (which did go away).

Description of Work: Power washed Windows. Left streaks and broke a faucet. Faucet was old but they were going to leave it without telling me about it. Didn't offer a discount from service or assistance in fixing faucet. Unimpressed.
