We are a locally owned and operated home improvement and exterior cleaning company based out of Providence, RI and servicing all of Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut and throughout New England. Description of Work: Melvin is a nice guy, and the work is done well. My only real complaint is the habit of setting up appointments and then showing up either an hour later or earlier. However, they always do a follow up call and were very responsive when I spoke to them. Prices are also reasonable. Worth checking out for sure.

Description of Work: This review is a little complicated because the news isn't all bad. We took advantage of a "Big Deal" for $299.00 to power wash and refinish our deck. I called to ask if stairs from the deck would be included and Melvyn's said no but they could do it for an additional $10.My first mistake was to assume that meant for the whole flight....after the fact, I found out it was per step. The deck was 15sq ft. larger than the deal allowed (fair enough)but the cost of that small amount almost doubled the original price. They did an outstanding job with the power washing however, the waterproofing, which was sprayed on, was really bad. The deck was covered with these little brown/orange dots and the water did not bead up uniformedly. I called and Melvyn did come back to look at it. I wasn't home but he said it looked fine. In the end, I bought my own water sealer and we did it over ourselves. So, my advise would be to get the exact cost of a project in writing before starting the job and possibly stick to power washing!

Description of Work: Melvin is a very nice guy. He came on time--actually early. The problem is the service/product. The power washing was fine (easy for a very small deck), but the "sealing" was/is horrible. His crew sprayed it on, which didn't look or sound right to me. When I asked about it, Melvin told me that once it dried, it would be ok. |Well, once it dried, it looked just as I thought it would, like someone has spilled apple juice all over the deck. When I looked up the product he used, I found out that it is cheap and has horrible reviews--and it is a huge pain to remove if one wants to do it right. |Nothing about the deck was restored!
