I called David Sparks and got a response in two days. He gave me a quote of $65/hour for three guys plus the cost of the UHaul truck. We scheduled the move for a Friday, but then later I had to move it to Saturday and had no problem changing the date.
David and the two other guys arrived to my apartment at 9:30am on a Saturday. They were 30 minutes late, but it really didn't matter since I wasn't pressed for time. They disassembled and moved all of my furniture into the UHaul relatively quickly, in about an hour. We drove the 10 minutes to my condo and they started moving things up the two flights of stairs. Everything went really smoothly until they had to move the sleeper couch. It is very heavy and awkwardly shaped. I was really concerned that it would not get up to the second floor. But David and his guys made it work. They had to remove the handrails in the hallway to make space for the couch to turn the corner. I was so happy they were able to get it up the stairs!
Overall, I am satisfied with the service. The only reason I am giving them a B is because they made a long scratch on my newly refinished hardwood floors when they moved the small sofa into the living room. I didn't notice it until after they left.

*I was running late on my drive from Washington DC and the crew waited patiently with good communications back to the SPM office;
*both guys introduced themselves and wasted no time lugging dozens of boxes up multiple flights of stairs and one *very* tight staircase
*great communications both ways, they didn't hesitate to stop and ask questions
*excellent team-work, you could tell the two movers had worked together before
*no scrapes, scratches or bumps
*by the end of the move everyone was drenched with perspiration, but not a complaint from these two guys; they showed up ready to work hard, and they DID!

This is my second experience with Sparks Property Management. Once again they provided me with lightning fast, and efficient moving services, taking great care to ensure that my belongings were packed in a manner that they would safely survive a cross-country move without any "moving casualties". All of my personal property made it from Newport, RI to San Diego, CA without any issues! Another job well done for SPM!

They were good and I have nothing but good things to say about them. Their customer service was phenomenal and work ethic was incredible. They were very fast and were delicate with everything. They followed every single instruction that I had for them. The owner and his people were the nicest people I have ever met. I liked them so much that I made my future mother-in-law to cancel her people and use these guys for her moving. She was as much pleased as I was. They did all the work in three to four hours. They will get a truck to move it if you want for additional cost or you can use your truck also. They had that flexibility. He used his own truck to move some of the delicate stuff that I had because my truck got full and I appreciated that.
