If I could give an A+, I would definitely give it here. Not only was Silvio very professional, friendly and courteous, but his work was outstanding. I had been contemplating doing this work myself, but after long deliberation decided to sub it out. After seeing the finished work, I know that I made the right decision to hire someone. I found Silvio here on Angies List and hired him based on previous reviews and glad that I did. After seeing his quote, I found the price to be higher than I expected this job to cost. But after getting several other quotes, it turned out that his price was very fair and market value. There is absolutely no question that I would recommend Silvio to others and I will certainly be calling him again when I get ready to finish the other side of my basement. Great job. Two thumbs up.

Silvio responded immediately to my request for an estimate, was available as soon as needed hm, came on time, was extremely personable, and lowered his price after the work turned out to be less than expected.

It did not go well. When I emailed Sivio, I told him that I needed new plastic vents for the roof peak, and repair of shingles on our barn. He agreed to come out and do an estimate. When he arrived, Silvio said that he did not do heights ! I was baffled since I'd been very clear about what the two main tasks were. But since he was there, I asked for an estimate to do some re-taping of the sheet rock in the hallway and garage. We agreed to a price and he came back (to his credit, on time and as promised) and did the work. But the workmanship was disappointing, at best. He finished up quickly then asked me to do the hallway sanding later after things dried, and gave me a sanding sponge to complete the work - which I never did. My adult son came home to do the follow-up painting for me two months later, and was horrified at the quality of Sivio's work. The taping in the garage was already cracked and the tape was loose in several areas

I was offended. The person gave no reason why my home address disqualified me.

Silvio was timely and very neat with his materials and work space. All areas were cleaned before he departed each day. I would recommend him to others and we'll be using him again for other repairs around the house.

The estimate he gave me was more than double what some other service providers offered, but he was courteous, prompt and respectful. I wound up using another service provider.

I received an email reply the same day I contacted him, and we set up an appointment for an estimate within the week. I received a written estimate in the mail within a few days, and a follow up phone call to see if I had any questions. We scheduled the work, and from initial contact to work being completed, it only took a couple of weeks. Silvio was prompt, professional, and reasonable, and I would definitely recommend him. I have made plans for Silvio to finish my basement sometime later this year.

On time, professional, easy to work with. All in all happy with the service and timing. A little more than I expected to pay given less time needed to do the work than originally anticipated. Interior door was not hung perfectly and may have to get fixed again.

Silvio came to my house the next day after I called and we did a walk through of the house during which he took detailed notes. He was straight forward in acknowledging one repair that he would not be able to do due to availability of replacement parts (window mechanism). I received an estimate the next day via email and regular mail. We set up a date for the repairs through email correspondence. He arrived promptly and set to work right away. Silvo is very focused and finished the work within an afternoon. The drywall repairs were beautifully done. After completion we did an itemized walk through of all the repairs and I was delighted with the results. He originally quoted $390 for the work (which I thought reasonable). In the end he charged $50 less because the work was not as involved as he originally thought it might be.

We were contacted very quickly after placing a call about rotted wood on our exterior window sills, even though the vendor was on vacation at the time. He was polite and professional throughout our service experience. He provided an estimate and set a tentative date. Rain caused a delay but he kept in timely contact to let us know when to expect the work to be completed. The repair work is hard to see because it blends in so well with the remainder of the windows! And although the windows are awkward to reach with shrubs and newly planted flowers in front of them, there was absolutely no damage to any of these. The quality of work, communication throughout the process and overall value for the dollar with this company far exceeds several other handyman/home repair firms we used in the past. We are looking forward to contacting Home Repair Service for additional work we now want to have completed.

My house is only a couple years old but needs a lot of upgrading. I had an electrician (whom I found on Angie's List) remove the wall sconces (they were crooked / uneven by 4 inches). The electrician did a great job but doesn't fix drywall. So I looked on Angie's List and found Silvio. He came out right away and gave me an estimate via e-mail within 24 hours. His rates are more than reasonable. He came back at my convenience - showed up 2 minutes early! He worked from 9am until about 12noon and got lunch while waiting for the spackling dried and then came back to put additional coats on. He was here for 4 hours and worked constantly (other than a 20 minute break for lunch). He filled up the holes in the drywall where the sconces were located, fixed about 12-15 nail pops in the hallway ceiling, removed a poorly built-in cabinet, took away the debris, sparkled the wall and added baseboard where the cabinet used to stand. He was very neat and cleaned up all the areas before leaving.

Silvio gains your trust fast. He wasn't pushy and allowed me to ponder over his proposal. Importantly, he patiently waited for a month to diagnose and fix the leaky wall before covering it. He was also easily accessible via phone and email.

He arrived on time and prepared. The doors were hung quickly. He scraped and spackled a wall and a ceiling to repair water damage, and hung a few items that I did not have the appropriate drill for. He also pointed out a few small things that he could repair for me, and with my consent he repaired those at no additional cost. He completed all this in less than four hours. Also I called him a couple of weeks later because one door wouldn't shut completely. He arrived that evening and had it fixed in less than a minute. He was cheerful the entire time.

He did a very professional job. The door looks great. I just called him back to fix some windows and a couple kitchen cabinet doors.

He offered to do the work over a few days when his schedule opened up or in part day segments starting immediately. We chose the latter. Hew always let us know when he was coming and checked to make sure the time was good. The workmanship was excellent - there were many angles and special cuts needed. He cleaned up well each time. Silvio is a pleasure to deal with.

Everything went perfect! He came on time, gave a prompt estimate and when he began work. The rotten wood was much worse than he and I thought, so he called me immediately and proposed doing some more repair and we agreed on the change.
