TSI provides long-distance moving and shipping services nationwide, specializing in small loads or small moves. We do not do local moves. We ships furniture, household goods and "less-than-truckload" freight of most kinds. We also offer specialized services for seniors and for high-end luxury moves. (Freight service only available to Alaska and Hawaii. )

Description of Work: They moved an antique curio. It came damage free. It seemed to take a few weeks longer than I expected. Since there was a subcontract I was not made aware of a complete time frame of pick up to delivery. This was not a problem for me.

Description of Work: Auto transport from Idaho to Florida. Vehicle made it to Florida safely without issue. |One issue - the driver required payment upon delivery, and we had a money issued to Transit Systems. Upon arrival, the driver would not accept a payment made out to Transit Systems and required a form of payment made out to his company instead. As the time was after business hours, the only option was to offer a personal check to the driver, which he accepted. Had he not accepted a personal check, would could have not completed the transaction until the next day when the banks reopened.

We’re a little puzzled because we do not have this job in our system, neither as a quote nor as a booked shipment. We do not request money orders or payment of any kind at time of delivery. There are companies out there that play off the good name of other shipping companies to get jobs and we’re a little concerned that’s what may have happened here. On the plus side, [member name removed], at least you were happy with the service. Description of Work: Very good service, reasonably priced. Moved a curio cabinet and some boxes from St. Louis to Los Angles. They were on-time and on budget. A couple of glass shelves were lost in transit, but they quickly found them and got them to us.

We’re glad everything was delivered in the end. The temporary misplacement of the shelves gives us a chance to point something out. Every long-distance moving and shipping company experiences an occasional misplacement of items. If they say different, they’re not being truthful. In our case, it occurs maybe once or twice out of a hundred jobs. A crucial benefit we offer is our constant contact and first-name relationships with our carriers’ dispatchers around the country. When we call and demand a search, the search gets done, and the item gets found.
