The painters arrived promptly at 8am, as promised. They were very polite and thorough. They listened to me and then explained the process. When we returned, they were mostly done and explained the expected completion time. I noticed a run, and they repaired it. The team cleaned up and put things back in order. They were a pleasure to work with.

Brian Doggrell did a thorough estimate of the work I wanted done. He got back to me with the estimate within 3 days. The painters were scheduled to arrive at 7:30 each morning of the job and they were very punctual. They did a great job of working with me as I had 2 large dogs that needed to be confined in a particular area based on where they were painting. The painters were very conscientious about details and clean up.

It turned out ok. There was a litte trouble but they were more than willing to come back and fix it.

Owner called me to schedule the estimate and the job, rather than waiting for me to call him. He and his crew are extremely professional, reliable, showed up on time, did exceptional work. Would definitely use them next time and will recommend to friends.

Steve arrived on time, listened to what needed to be done, and took care of it. It looks so much better and is great to have it taken care of right.

Found the Angie's List deal and decided to have my hallways painted - woodwork, stair risers and all. Brian, the owner, called me promptly and discussed with me at length materials to be used and where to buy them - he even let me get his discount so I could get the best at a good price. The painter arrived on time and worked hard for two days. His work was very clean and my hallways never looked so good. I definitely recommend this company.

Everything was very smooth. My husband got a quote and we agreed to go with this company. They emailed a contract, asked for a one third deposit, and gave us a date for the job. My husband forgot to send the deposit, so when we did send it, we missed our date. It turns out that they don't confirm the date until the deposit is received. I would have appreciated an email reminder but that's my only complaint. The work was actually performed a month earlier than they thought. The painters arrived on time and did a great job. I was most impressed by their attention to detail.

We like them. Everything went great, they are very good. They cleaned up everything and even did a few extra things for me. They were very professional.

Dogrell painted the exterior of my house a few years back. The price was fairly reasonable in comparison to the other bids that I got. Initially, the only unexpected thing that I discovered on the first morning was that the painters required access to the laundry tub in the basement throughout the day -- I hadn't been informed of this, and felt a little strange leaving my house open all day (I had to work). But initially, the job seemed to go well. At my request, they used the best quality paint at the time (Sherwin Williams Duration). Within 8 months, I noticed that the paint was completely coming off of the soffit fascia in the front. What I didn't realize at the time was that there was an issue with the roof shingles letting some water through, that may have been saturating the wood behind the paint of the soffit fascia. The painters did not identify this as an issue. I gave Brian Doggrell a call, and he agreed to have his painters repaint the soffit fascia the next time they were in the neighborhood. His crew repainted several months later. Unfortunately, it pealed again within a year. Once I realized the problem with the roof, I had the roof repaired. I hired Kosta Painting to repaint the soffit fascia, and so far (about 8 months later) the paint is still fine. Doggrell has a two year guarantee. But as Brian Doggrell later pointed out to me, the guarantee does not cover water issues like I had. Be careful to read all of the terms of the guarantee. You should be careful to identify the cause of your paint issues before hiring Doggrell -- certain types of problems may cause pealing to quickly reoccur, and Doggrell may not identify the issue before the job is done and may not cover the issue with their guarantee after the problem reoccurs. I don't know anything about exterior painting. All I knew is that my paint was pealing, and I wanted to have it fixed. Brian Doggrell gave me a bit of a hard time when I asked him to repaint, and it wasn't clear to me that I needed other repairs before the paint would really stay on in the long run. I did not rehire Doggrell after the roof was fixed because of a negative customer service experience.

Brian Doggrell came promptly to give estimate. He explained in detail how he'd go about the process which was more thorough than other people I got estimates from. We addressed the more urgent areas now (the red windows which had peeling paint) and will hold off on the better condition black paint until it's warmer. Brian's employees who did the work did a very neat job and cleaned up very well. However, there was an honest mix-up somehow with the paint color initially. It came out several shades lighter and much more orange than it should have been. I could have imagined with other companies I would have had to battle with them a long time and end up hiring someone else to redo it. However, Brian had his guys over within 2 days to add another coat of paint of the proper color at no additional charge. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the end result. It's rare to have people not only stand behind their work to this degree, but also do so without making you jump through hoops to get there. I'd recommend Doggrell Painting without hesitation.

This company took the time to respond to my concenrs. I previously rated them a C but have upgraded them to a B because of this response. I spoke with a young lady who took my information and inquired about the scope of my project. She advised that she would page someone who would return my call shortly. It has been two weeks with no call. Perhaps they lost my number, are too busy or the project is too small but this is not "A" service. Although polite during the conversation, the young lady that took my call also hung up abruptly in an unprofessional manner. I generously gave a "C" because we all have bad days?

Our house is almost 40 years old and we have only done exterior painting maybe twice throughout the history of the house. It was long overdue. Recently the siding color (dark brown) seemed to be staining the white shutters on the front of the house. We decided it was time for exterior painting, but my husband is getting older and does not want to climb ladders or hang off the roof of the house any more to do this job.. We had 3 firms come to the house for estimates. Doggrell was the middle bidder, but right where we thought the price should be for the job. My husband was impressed by the knowledge of the person doing the estimate and did not hesitate to say that's who he wanted. My only critique would be that we somehow (us or them) got the appt. for the estimate date and time wrong and had to reschedule. They were at the house early every morning ( a 3 day job...which they told us up front) and gone by the time we returned home from work. The workmen were totally professional and checked with us daily on how we viewed their work....they wanted to make sure we were pleased. They cleaned up after themselves daily, left us the leftover paint. The house looks great.

They were very good. I have used them before for interior and exterior painting. They were not cheap, but they were not expensive for the job that I got done. The walls were in terrrible shape and I have a big house.
