Description of Work: This is a new house (6 yrs) which began to develop mold on interior walls/ceilings. I hired several contractors who kept looking at roof as source of problem, which it wasn't, and doing needless repairs without fixing the problem. I discovered the source myself in 8/07 and hired Don to remove siding and find out why so much water was getting under the siding and into the home. Don did SOME of the work during 9 & 10/07; he would only schedule a few days which wasn't adequate to resolve the entire problem. Then he claimed we couldn't continue due to weather but ASSURED ME that I would be first on his list for work in early spring 08. I began calling/leaving messages for Don starting 3/08 WITHOUT A RESPONSE FOR 6 WEEKS!!! Finally he called and said he would call in 2 weeks to schedule a time. In 2 weeks I had to call HIM and he did schedule an appointment for 2 weeks later. At this time he also asked if he could do one day here then come back later "when he has time" to do another day, etc. I told him in no uncertain terms that this is NOT acceptable and I need him to come with equipment/assemble scaffolding,etc and leave all items here until job is done!! He charges by the hour and I was not paying for time for him to constantly pack/unpack his van and organize his day on my time!! Besides my house was continuing to rot during the 2nd wettest May on record!! I arranged for time off of work, etc and was ready to finally resolve this problem when 72 hours before our scheduled time Don called and left me a message (did not even have courage to speak to me in person)that he would NOT be coming at agreed to date but would be here the next day. I rearranged my work schedule but was not very happy about it. Finally 18 HOURS BEFORE HE WAS TO COME, DON LEFT ANOTHER MESSAGE THAT HE WOULD NOT BE HERE AT ALL AND THAT I NEEDED TO FIND ANOTHER CONTRACTOR TO COMPLETE WORK HE HAD STARTED 10 MONTHS EARLIER!!! This man has SERIOUS customer service flaws and despite the great quality of his work when he does show up, is simply not worth the aggravation entailed with constant cancellations/rescheduling/and total lack of respect for other peoples time (not to mention the countless lost weeks waiting for phone calls to be returned which never are).
