PRECISION HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING

We phoned, spoke to some to schedule just routine maintenance on our 2 a/c units. The person I spoke with took down all of our info and no one ever returned our call to schedule an appointment. The person I spoke with seemed to be an answering service.This is not the first time that we had tried to use this company but had not been able to get any appointment scheduled because no one ever returns your phone call.Service was excellent when it was just Dominic doing the service, however, it seems as this company has grown they do not even return your phone calls. We have now gone with another company also from Angie's list

the AC stopped blowing cold air, they came out a couple of hours after we called and added more Freon and the problem appeared so they left, the problem came back the next evening, they were back within two hours, further digging into the problem revealed a mouse nest buried in the electronics, they removed the nest and replaced the capacitor, the problem was fixed, they didn't charge us for the second visit, we are very pleased with their promptness, the way they respected our home, and the way they respected us

We got him from Angie's List. We really liked him. The guy's name was Dominic. We used him two weeks ago. They are attentive and they call back but most of these people I hear it very difficult. Dominic was great. He came out last year and helped us get through the summer with the air conditioner. He came back, evaluated it and we decided to go with him. He replaced the heating and air, put in an air purifier and everything. He shows up and does his thing. He is clean and takes care of the area. His price was very good. We didn't shop him because we had an idea and he was so good to us before. We were very pleased with him. We were very fortunate in that regards with these people. We would use him if we needed to. In fact he told us to call him if they were any questions or anything.

I was new to Central Airconditioning and what an installation would entail. Precision Heating was the third company I had in to provide estimates. Dominic was great as he explained in detail what work he would perform and the ongoing upkeep of the system and took time to explain ratings so I could make a sound decision on the size of the Unit for installation. I went with the Trane model. The installation of the unit went smoothly. Place was left cleaner than when they had started. Duct work was nicely placed in all the rooms. I look forward to having Central Air this summer and would definitely recommend PRECISION HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING to anyone looking for a reference.

We had a very positive experience with the tech who came out.

We had used Precision Heating and A/C for many years and have always been more than satisfied with their service. When it came time to replace our 19 HVAC system, my husband would not consider anyone else for the job. As we expected, Dominic and Dominic did an excellent job. They explained everything in detail ahead of time, and informed us about the Trane rebate, Peco rebate, and tax rebate. They showed up on time, and protected our hardwood floors and walls as they moved the old equipment out and the new equipment in. They even cut down an overgrown bush for us that was blocking the new A/C unit. The whole operation went very smooth, and took about a day and a half. They made sure the air was working before they left the first day. They noticed that a switch on the new furnace wasn't operating as fast as it should, so they ordered a new one, and came by two days later and replaced it. We couldn't be happier with this this father/son team. They are professional in everything they do.

Called Precision twice - two different occassions - to establish an appointment for servicing my home AC.Shared with the answering service 1) the problem I am having with my AC unit, 2) my request for service, 3) my address and cell phone number but never received a return call. I assume this company is capable (based upon the Angie reviews), but he must have more business than he can handle as he does not return phone calls. Additionally, the company's web site interface does not function properly. I tried to enter my request directly into the form on the company's web site but it would not accept my input - kept saying the email address I provided (a required field) is not valid. My email address includes a "." (i.e. dot) between two names preceeding the @ - perhaps that's the issue.I would not recommend this company. Also, the expiration date of the company's license (as displayed here on Angies List) has expired.

Almost immediately after we contacted Precision, they returned our telephone call and came out to meet with us. They use a very friendly answering service rather than an answering phone (really nice). They listened to us and gave us all of our options in a professional and knowledgeable manner. They were very nice and very easy to speak with (not intimidating at all). We received an estimate that was extremely reasonable and better than other estimates we had received. They ordered the equipment we needed and scheduled a date they would be there for the installation. They arrived promptly and installed our system in a way that really demonstrated their expertise. The quality of their work was top notch. You could tell that they are very proud of their work and truly love what they do. They spent a good deal of time making sure we understood how to operate the new system and provided us with all the information and documentation we needed to file our rebates. They were very friendly the entire time and there was absolutely no mess when they finished the job. I will definitely call them if I have any problems with my heating or air conditioning and would recommend them to friends and family with no hesitation. About two weeks before the new system was installed, our existing heating and air conditioning system failed while we were on vacation. We came home to no air conditioning. We called Dominic on a Sunday and he came out right away! He spent many hours trying to diagnose the problem (which was very complex). He ordered the parts we needed and returned as quickly as possible to make sure we had working air conditioning. His services were extremely reasonable even though the parts were very expensive and he came out on a Sunday to help us. MUCH APPRECIATED, DOMINIC!

Repaired AC unit. Last Saturday our AC went out. Based on fact my neighbor last year had to replace their AC unit and spend 4k I was fearing the worst. After calling several AC companies most of which were to busy to come out that day. My wife told me about Angieslist. I was pleasantly surprised that the owner of Precision AC was honest that he was busy but would make it out sometime in the afternoon. He came out has he stated and to my surprise I didn't need a new AC unit.

Air Conditioning unit was operational, but leaking. Dominic returned my call within 30 minutes. During this call he informed me he would be able to make it to my home by 12:00 noon. Before he arrived, he called and asked that I turn the unit on "fan" position to thaw line out, which I did. Dominic pulled up ten minutes early. He was professional and friendly. He took the time to show me where on the compressor to check to see if it was operational. Then he used gauges to check coolant, which he found was low and added to system. Afterwards, he went out to his truck to get equipment to clear out condensate line. He told me there would still be some dripping as long air conditioner was running, to watch it for the next day or so. If water continued to drip anywhere except through the line to call him back and that the pan may be cracked. In that case, I would need a new a/c unit; since costs more to remove coil, plus the position of line to compressor is in an akward position, etc. The unit is old (1993), so I felt comfortable with his analysis. When I mentioned I saw the company on Angie's List, he did give me a discount!

We liked them, they were very professional and thorough. We haven't made a decision yet.

It was a father and son team and they were very competitive. For the same quoted price I feel I got better equipment than the other larger companies quoted. As a result I felt they were more competitive. They installed the system in a timely manner and it works great. Everything was fine. They were very nice people and I felt like they were trying to do a good job. They were two gentlemen. I would absolutely use them again.

Right before the first cold week in November the heater died (cracked heat exchanger and a few other issues). As the whole system was 25 years old, everyone recommended full replacement. I wanted to get at least 3 estimates before making a decision. Precision was the third company I contacted. It took a little time to find them on Angie's List, but it was well worth it. Dominic came over at a convenient time for the estimate and answered all my questions. The quoted price was similar to others, but for upgraded components throughout. Dominic was also helpful in giving me several air filtration options. They showed up on time, did a beautiful job, left the job site cleaner than they found it, and then made sure I knew how to work the new programmable thermostat before they left. Excellent experience all the way around.

From estimate to completion, the experience was painless. We called Precision for an estimate because of their close proximity, and outstanding reviews on Angie's List. I had called other places that were recommended to us, but they were slow to call back, or didn't even answer the phone. Dominic, Jr was ready to stop by that night, but I wasn't well, so thought it would be best to wait a few days. He was very accommodating, and showed up as scheduled. There was absolutely no pressure from Dominic, and he was very professional. He told me what he recommended, then said he'd mail a proposal with a couple of different options. It arrived a few days later. Our only concern was that Precision is a two-man team. Father and son. We wondered if they would be dependable if we needed them in an emergency. We were contemplating going with a larger company, when our central air unit died for good. We didn't want to wait for other estimates, so I called Dominic to let him know that we would go with them, and that we were without a/c. Unfortunately, we had to go through one week of a heat wave without a/c, but they got us in the schedule on the Friday before Labor Day. They arrived as scheduled that morning, got the old units removed, new ones installed, and were finished by the time someone returned home that evening. You couldn't even tell that they had been in our home, except for the new furnace and air conditioner! I was also pleased to see that our 2 cats hadn't escaped while they brought equipment into the house! The only glitch was a leak from a plug, that was allowing water to drip on the concrete floor in our basement. I took 2 visits to get that resolved, but now it is working well. This was not the fault of Precision, but with Trane. I need to have Dominic, Jr stop by some day and show me how to clean the whole-house air purifier filters, and go over what maintenance needs to be done on the humidifier. He said that he'd be happy to do this. Overall, I don't think that we could have asked for a better experience. I feel confident that we went with the right company for the job.

We called in late May hot spell because our central A/C wasn't working. The owner was very pleasant and suggested that my husband change the A/C filter. We did that a day later and it seemed to be a bit better but the weather changed. We went on vacation Memorial Day weekend and when I returned home, the heat spell was in full force! I called Precision back and they scheduled us for the very next day. It ended up that we didn't have any Freon in our system most likely due to a slow leak. They added Freon and a diagnostic dye pack to check for leaks in the future. I ran inside to crank the A/C and voila--cold air! We were very happy with their responsiveness and pricing. We will definitely use them in the future--we plan on getting a quote for new heat pump system.

My previous a/c and heater had required repairs several times in the past. I had used Precision before and have always been pleased with their response and service. I contacted them and two other companies, when I finally decided to replace the old inefficient systems, for an estimate. They were thorough in explaining the different systems available, and walked me through what work would need to be done. They explained the tax benefits, rebates and warranty in detail. There prices were in line with the other estimates and they did not pressure me in any way. I decided to use them and gave them a deposit of about 25%. Once the equipment arrived, they promptly called to schedule installation. It took a full day to get the air conditioning up and running and a few hours the next day to finish up with the heater. They had promised not to leave the first day without the a/c working, and they kept their word. They were always professional, cleaned up after themselves and honest with me. One of them had accidentally broken an old flower pot in my basement, and he made sure I knew about it. He could have easily tossed it in the trash and it would never have been missed, but that's not how these guys work. I was extremely pleased with their work and will recommend them to anyone who needs heating or a/c work done.

I needed to replace a very old boiler and old central air conditioning unit. I called Precision and a couple other places based on Angie's List reviews. Unlike the other places I called, Precision called me back almost immediately (and has always done so), and came by to give me an estimate promptly and at the time they told me they would come. We discussed various options (stay with a boiler, go with natural gas forced air, etc.). I had already thoroughly researched the options, and the recommendations they gave me were accurate in every way. All estimates and work are performed by Dominic Sr. and Dominic Jr. They do not subcontract to other companies. They did the work promptly, cleaned up after themselves very well, and were at all times courteous, professional and knowledgeable. I trust them. I will certainly use them to replace my second HVAC unit this fall. I have recommended them to several friends who have used them for major installations as well as minor repairs. They do not upsell, and when performing repairs they only fix what needs to be fixed (unlike many other companies). Go ahead and get estimates from other companies if you want. If someone offers you a better price than Precision, be very skeptical. Also, ask the other companies: who does the work? How many years experience do their installers have? Finally, do you feel that you can trust them? If you're fortunate enough to live in the area serviced by Precision, save yourself a lot of heartburn - just call Precision and have them do the work.

Over the weekend I turned on my central air for the first time but it would not cool the house. I joined Angies List today because I did not know where to turn and I did not want to get ripped off. I can truly say Angies List paid for itself ther first day. Dominic from Precision had to fix a wire that had burned out (which he had said he seen before) and he also added some freon to my outside central air unit. Dominic exceeded all my expectations and left me with a smile. He talked me through each step of the repair so I could understand the whoer process. I'd reccomend him and Precision in a heartbeat.

They were wonderful. We didn't feel the estimate was too high, but for other reasons we had to be a stop on the project.

I had a good experience working with them. They came out right when they said that they would and got all of the work done like they said that they would. They removed the old leaking water heater and cleaned up all of the mess. Everyone who came out was very nice and I would welcome them back into my home.

They did exactly what I expected them to do. They were professional, responsive and punctual. Their pricing was reasonable as well. The quality of their work was good and I was satisfied with their service.

This family business was great to work with from scheduling the work to paying them when it was all done. Granted, it was a very simple job, but I was impressed with how promptly they returned my first call to schedule the work, how courteous they were on the phone and how flexible they were with my schedule. I had to call them the day before the appointment to tell them I might have a conflict and they made a point to get to my house earlier in the specified time frame so I could get the work done and still make it to my next appointment on time. They showed up right on time, were very courteous and professional. They did the job and were on their way in a very timely manner. I definitely plan to call them next time we need any heating work done. Oh, and my 10-month old daughter, who is in prime "stranger anxiety" mode right now totally fell for Dominick (Jr.), she kept reaching up for him - so I knew he was a good guy.

Excellent. The quality of work they performed was well above par which is hard to find these days. The install looks very clean and when the job was done they took all of the old equipment and left the house very tidy with no signs they were even there.

No bells and whistles. Just honest information. No upselling. Respectful.

This company is family owned: Dominic and his father. From the first phone call I made requesting an estimate, Dominic (Jr.) was very responsive. We were able to schedule an estimate right away. He gave us detailed information about our options and provided a precise estimate. He checked back in with us while we spent a few weeks getting others estimates and willingly answered many additional questions for us. When we committed to the project, he made sure that the installation was scheduled promptly. The installation went exactly as planned and Dominic and his dad were a pleasure to have in the house. We have plaster ceilings, which can be tricky, but their experience and careful approach made it a non-issue. We are very happy with the results and feel that we got an excellent value as well as an unusually pleasant customer experience in dealing with this company.
