PRECISION HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING

I took my time with several HVAC contractors getting quotes and recommendations. When I decided that I wanted a high efficiency heating unit, a System 2000, and would have to pay over my original budget for it, their quote was the best. They quoted me a dellivery date and performed the installation efficiently. They had gotten good reviews as a service company on Angie's list, which helped make me confident that spending a lot of money on the equipment with a good installer was the safest way to go. They are not a big company, which is why they were able to quote me an attractive price. For me they were a good combination, the right equipment, professional installers, and a fair price.

They offered a very good price, were very respectful of our house, and were very good to work with.

We have had Dominic & Dominic out a couple of times in the last few years to fix our Outside A/C unit. We knew this has to be replaced since it was twenty something years old (original to the house), and it was past it's life expectancy by many years. The same is true for our Gas furnace. Dominic had mentioned while here for the repairs when the right times were to replace these units and when we would get the best rebates. So we did wait as he had suggested and we are receiving $2600 in rebates. This is for Trane's best units. The better the unit, the more efficient, the more rebates. Dominic & Dominic (Father & Son) were quick with the quotes and the explanations of everything. They came in and replaced everything in the same day along with how to use it and what to expect. They also made the rebates process extremely easy. These guys are the real deal. They are fast and very good at what they do. I would have no other team in my house going forward.

Dominic & Dominic did a wonderful job! Very professional, very polite. The entire project took about 1 1/2 days. They planned out the project so that we would not lose heat or hot water overnight. They repeatedly asked my opinion (while educating me with their professional opinion) to ensure that we were happy with the job. Gave me a full tutorial about all of the features of the new thermostat. Even walked me through the initial programming. Very pleased. Will definitely call back for routine service and repairs if ever needed.

Precision was the first of four HVAC contractors I asked for proposals to replace our gas furnace and air conditioner. I called Precision specifically because of their ratings on Angie's List and they are a Trane contractor. On the call to schedule the appointment, they took my zip code and confirmed that they serviced my area. Dominic visited. He was a few minutes late because he said it was farther than he expected. Dominic looked at the equipment we were planning to replace. He clearly knew his stuff and he was a very pleasant gentleman. Even though I had been researching the subject, I really didn't know much and expected the contractors would have brochures, information, and recommendations. Maybe it was too much to expect because Dominic didn't appear to have anything with him other than his pad where he was writing his notes. He asked me what we wanted, I told him I really didn't know but that in very general terms, I wanted something energy efficient as we were replacing a system that was 28 years old and we expected to be in the house for some time to come. He made some notes. At that point, I expected Dominic to launch into some sort of explanation and direction in what equipment might best fit our needs. Instead, Dominick didn't offer any specific options or recommendations (size? models? efficiency? 1-stage? 2-stage? etc) except to talk positively about Trane. At this point in the process, because of my ignorance with the subject matter, I didn't know enough to know what to ask. We talked about his company's qualifications and for some reason, we also talked about service areas and his need to keep within a certain distance for the sake of not wasting time or $$. It is now a few days short of 2 weeks and I have not heard a word from Dominic; I received the other 3 proposals within days of each meeting. At this point, I don't expect to hear anything, nor will I ask. UPDATE 12/16/13 I just received a call from Dominic. He was following up on my review on Angie's List and specifically the lack of a proposal. He was very apologetic, couldn't understand how I did not receive his proposal, assured me that he did not do business that way, and assured me that he had emailed his proposal within a week of our meeting. I told him that my work had been completed. Knowing this, Dominic explained that he wanted to be sure that something like this did not happen again and asked if I would check for his proposal in my spam folder. Unfortunately, my email provider eliminates spam and trash emails after 30 days so I had no way to check. Following this telephone conversation with Dominic (a phone call he did NOT have to make), I am inclined to believe that Dominic did send a proposal and that my experience was not the way he normally does business but an unfortunate development. Dominic said that he didn't normally call soon after the meeting for fear that he would appear pushy. I appreciate that too. I am impressed that Dominic went this far and hope that he does what is necessary so that it does not happen to him again.

Arrived at scheduled appointment and was dressed professionally. Proceeded to inspect our current unit and discussed options for replacement with my wife and I. We mentioned we were currently experiencing problems with our system (we already knew it was failing) and Dominic recommended a temporary fix that would likely last until the unit could be replaced. After explaining what the repair would consist of and what the price would be to try it, my wife and I agreed to the work and Dominic proceeded to install the fix. Although we ended up using a different contractor to install our new A/C unit, the fix that Dominic applied to our system worked flawlessly through the hottest stretch we experienced this summer. I would contact Precision Heating and A/C for any future HVAC work I was considering having performed.

We have a finished basement installed by a previous owner. No air circulation existed in the basement and no A/C - only space heaters. Central Heat/Air existed for the rest of the house. Came to inspect work needed and discussed options to resolve the issue. Very friendly and courteous. Emailed estimate promptly. We got several opinions and estimates from other companies and like this one the best. Date was set and work was done efficiently and professionally.

Initially, they added freon and dye to diagnos the problem and they had to come back to re-check the problem. they came back and fixed everything.

Dominic and his son Dominic where both professional and detail oriented. From the estimate stage to the thermostat walk through both gentleman were fantastic. Very clean job and completed right on time.

The price was lower than the other estimates I received. They were very punctual, clean, and curteous. Work took about 5 hours to complete which was less than I was expecting. All work was done as discussed at the estimate. I plan on using them again.

We've been a customer of Precision Air since we moved into our new home in 2001. They installed the original system. Each year we subscribe to the annual spring & fall tune-up - about $360/year total for 2 systems. The company is very responsive to system outages, generally coming to the home within 24 hours. The technicians are very professional. The office staff (esp. Tammy) very professional and responsive. Although I have not replaced the system with more modern, updated hardware (and therefore cannot comment on their cost relative to competition) I would highly recommend this company based on our history with maintenance and repairs.

Figured out what was wrong with AC, determined it was the Programmable thermostat not sending a signal and then promptly installed new parts and fixed problem.

I was totally satisfied with their work. They came out within a half an hour of my call. The technician identified my problem quickly and fixed the issue.

I was very happy with the overall experience with Precision Heating and Air Conditioning. They arrived promptly for the apointment to provide a free estimate and gave a thorough explanation of my options. After I decided on the units I wanted the appointment to install the equipment was made for less than two weeks in the future. They arrived on time and provided regular updates and explanations as the work was being done. The work was completed a little sooner than they had said, and they did a good job cleaning up after themselves when they were done.

Got an initial proposal from company for HVAC replacement. Company is a Trane dealer which is quality equipment. I was prepared to go with this contractor as I was confident the work would be performed well and the Trane products were highly rated by Consumer Reports. However, at the time I was looking to perform the work Trane was not offering financing. I used another Angie's List A contractor of Carrier equipment (also highly rated by Consumer Reports) as Carrier was offering 3-yr 0% financing which was a significant incentive.

I contacted Dominic and Dominic via their website. The response was prompt, the estimate fair and their installation work was clean and efficient. I am very satisfied and intend to use them for my heating and a/c needs in the future.

Very responsive, return calls quickly. Service was excellent and everyone was very polite and helpful.

The two Dominics (father and son) came to clean and evaluate our unit. They took away with them about 100 lbs of soot vacuumed out of the boiler! They left it looking like it did the day it was installed. It ran very smoothly for a month. But then it started to stop. They have responded quickly and professionally. Always here the day (a Sunday each time ) I called. They have been here three times to get it going. They have replaced small parts without charge. They have called for back-up from the manufacturer. Today, Dominic put a $120 electrical part on the burner "to see if it was the problem" He didn't charge me for it. When I told him to bill me if I hadn't called him for two weeks, he said:" Well I'm going to have to complete the install if it is the problem." I was Impressed. I have already recommended them to my sister-in-law, and will continue to sing their praises if I ever get the chance.

We were very happy with the quick and effective response to our emergency. We would definitely work with Precision again.

Dominic came out in April to assess the project. Two days later he emailed an estimate with a couple of choices on equipment. We decided to wait until fall to do the project. We contacted Dominic again in September to start work. He ordered the equipment and estimated two weeks to complete (one week per floor/system). They started work the next Monday. The team arrived on time every day and clearly explained what they would be doing that day. These men are professionals. They always kept the work area clean and at the end of each day the house was just as they found it. The work was completed a couple of days early. After installing the downstairs thermostat I realized that I couldn't read the screen due to my extremely low vision. I asked if they had another solution and the next day they told me about two different options. We chose a thermostat (with inverted colors that could be accessed from any of my devices) and the were able to get a discount on the cost of the upgraded thermostat. We were out of town for the last couple of days that they were working. When we returned they came back to show us how to use the thermostats, they downloaded it onto my iPad and made sure we knew how to use the system. Overall, with the Trane cash discount and the thermostat discountswe saved $5,050 from the estimate we got from a competitor. We are thrilled with the equipment, thrilled with the service, and we highly recommend Dominic and Precision Heating and Air Conditioning.

called Precision after noting my A/C was not blowing cool air. I spoke to Dominic who instructed me on what to do until he could come over the following day. He arrived on time, and found the problem. While he was there he also showed me how to change the filter in my heater and he also added coolant to my unit. The air has worked great since then and I requested in the fall to be added to the furnace tune up and periodic visit. I was very happy with this experience

We just bought a house. I called Precision to provide a heating inspection for our gas heater. He was able to add me to the list for a tune-up. Later that day I hired a propane delivery service and told them I suspected a gas leak. They showed up and detected that we had a leak but could not find the leak. He said we needed an HVAC person. I called Dominic (Precision) back and though it was late in the day he put us on the list for that day. He arrived about 8 pm and worked until 10 pm. He was wonderful, knowledgeable, and equipped to fix any problem. In addition, we was friendly and hard-working. He finished the job and we are on the list to get a tune-up in the coming weeks. I am thoroughly pleased with his work and his dedication to his job. It was a great experience and I feel quite safe after he thoroughly assessed the situation.

Initial response was very quick. They did a good job analyzing the problem and identifying a temporary fix until the unit could be replaced. Had a hard time getting them to call me back to schedule the appointment to replace the unit. They did work with me to provide a variety of replacment options with costs, but they were a bit pushy on the top of the line unit and financing options. Ultimately though once the work was scheduled they were great to work with. They were friendly, quick, and did a good job of cleaning up after themselves.

Domenick and Domenick gave us a very clear explanation of our problem and what needed to be done to fix it. The work was done exactly as promised and right on schedule. The 2 installation days were extremely hot and Domenick ensured that the A/C portion was installed and operational as quickly as possible. We were even give tips on how to keep the house as cool as possible while the system was off. I have been a homeowner for over 40 years and I can honestly say that Precision is probably the most professional and competent contractor I have ever worked with. Highly recommended!
