The Bee Hunter

Jim was very prompt at returning my call. Initially thought he might not be able to get there for a day or two. I explained the neighbor had two small children and he got out here the same afternoon. Jim was very professional and courteous. I feel it was well worth the money charged for the excellent job he did. I would recommend to anyone.

It was hot that day and a difficult area to get to. He worked for an hour and a half. He wasn't convinced that he got to the nest and refused to take payment. He told me to call him if the wasps continued to appear. AFter about 2 weeks without wasps I called him and offered to pay him for his services since he obviously destroyed the nest.

I phoned Tuesday after our window washing service person informed me we had both a bee hive and yellow jacket nest problem. Jim returned my call within a few hours and we set up Weds AM appointment. He arrived at agreed time and we inspected the issues. He was informative on the seriousness of each problem and gave me a price to take care of them. I agreed and he did his thing at that time. Also, a warranty against recurrence to the end of the year. I indicated NA for price simply because I have no basis to judge. In my opinion, however, the price was fair. Time he spent was about an hour and job didn't require extensive material, but it did require specialized equipment (including protective suit). Most important to me it was a job beyond my competence and therefore worth what he charged. I will consider enrolling in his annual maintenance service for 2014.

Service provided was excellent. We have not had any problems since. Very professional and personable. We would absolutely use this service again.

IT went very well. He followed up with two phone calls to be sure that the treatments was still working (which it was). I would recommend him again with out a doubt.

I have hired Jim multiple times. In fact, he is in my speed dial. I developed a wicked allergy to bee stings several years ago, so I literally trust Jim with my life to eradicate those nasty buggers when they set up shop on my property. Look no further, don't mess around with hardware store sprays, just call The Bee Hunter. He has everything he could possibly need on his truck at all times. Whatever it is, he can and does handle it, period. No worries.

I called Jim (owner) on a Sunday night at about 7:58 pm. I was surprised to get a return call within seconds. I explained the problem, and Jim came out the very next morning to get rid of a very active nest. Dressed in full protective gear, and with my permission, Jim removed a portion of rotted wood where the yellow jackets were going in and out , sprayed and removed the nest. Jim ran into a snag when he realized that the spray went into the interior of my garage, and my neighbors garage as well due to an opening between a shared wall. Jim immediately called his supplier, and took every precaution to ensure that my neighbor was aware that the chemical got into their garage and on the baby stroller, and he took the time to wash what got contaminated. I was a little shocked at how expensive it was for about an hours work, but I agreed to the price and didn't even try to haggle. I was concerned the bees might sting my next door neighbors baby, and I wanted them to be gone. Overall, I was pleased with Jim's work, his great website which is educational and helpful, and his respect and knowledge for bees and their habitats. He even called a week later to see if everything was okay with my neighbor and to see if there were anymore problems with the bees. Everything was fine, and the yellow-jackets are gone. Jim was at all times professional, kind, and I very much appreciated him taking responsibility to remedy the problem that he encountered.

Jim was a pleasure to work with; very courteous and professional. He responded promptly and did a fantastic job. I would absolutely hire him again and again!

Working with Jim (The Bee Hunter) was great. At my 2 year-old daughter's birthday party, a guest noticed that lots of yellow jackets were flying under the floor of my daughter's play set in our back yard. The next day - a Sunday - I looked up The Bee Hunter on Angie's List and gave Jim a call. To my surprise, he came over that very night - again, on a Sunday. He took a look and within 20 minutes he was done. He removed the necessary boards, dealt with the nest, and put everything back together as if nothing happened. He showed me the nest and said it was good we caught it, since yellow jacket reproduce at an exponential rate. He was professional and courteous. And given that my daughter loves playing outside and loves her playset, we're very grateful for Jim's expeditious service!

Jim returned my phone call within a few hours, and scheduled a convenient time to come to the house -- on Sunday. He was able to come earlier than expected, and let me know ahead of time. He and his partner were friendly and professional. They first checked inside for damage, then got to work spraying the nest. All went well.

Wonderful. Jim called me back right away. Showed up the next day. Treated three areas were bees we're nesting. One on the roof of the house and in two bushes near the house. Great job. Would hire him again and again.

He was very professional and courteous. He was very thorough and worked at a good pace. The mess of bees went away and we haven't had any around our house all summer. I would definitely recommend him to others looking for help with a bee problem.

Very good service and communication. He kept me very informed through the whole process. He took care of everything. He guaranteed his work for six month, but we have not seen any wasps since.

I thought that I, potentially, had two nests, but he convinced me not to spend the extra money exploring for the possible second nest thinking that the yellow jackets just had a second entrance. He was right, saving me an additional $300. I have his number on speed dial now. Jim is my cure for the heebie jeebies!

He is very professional, kept us update when he would arrive and what he would do to eliminate they yellow jackets. In 20 minutes he had sprayed, killed, and removed the nests from the yard; he also put dust in the holes to get any stragglers that may return. It has been two days since the job and there have been no more problems. What is really nice is The Bee Hunter said if they come back to those nest this year he would come back for free to kill them again. That is a nice gaurantee that we did not expect. Thanks to The Bee Hunter we can return to our yard.

Due to rain, we were delayed one day, but he came as soon as he could the following day. After assessing the situation, Jim geared up and went straight to work. The problem was larger than expected, but was treated efficiently and he was able to completely remove both nests. He was friendly and professional. The estimate given via phone the day prior was right in the range of the total cost. It was definitely not something we could have handled on our own and we will gladly recommend The Bee Hunter to friends and family.

Everything went great. We spoke on the phone, he came when he said he would. I wasn't even home - he called me with his price and my problem was gone when I got back home.

Jim is excellent. Although we had an appointment for later in the week he was able to get to our house later the same day. He instantly identified the issue and stated what needed to be done. Then he did a quick inspection of the exterior of the house to be sure there are no other issues. He then suited up and treated the area. The yellow jackets are gone and we can now use our front door again. I highly recommend The Bee Hunter!

I called about a problem that I was having regarding yellow jackets on Friday, expecting to schedule an appt for the following week. To my surprise, he informed me that he also works weekends. He came to my house on Sunday, diagnosed the problem, and successfully removed the yellow jackets. I have used him in the past and will use him in the future if there is ever a problem.

They did a great job. Very friendly and joked with my dad who is allergic to hornets and made him feel very comfortable. They came out the same afternoon we called and took care of it.

It worked great. He came out and treated the wasps. We didn't have a problem the rest of the summer. He recommended to treat each year. We have a lot of bees in our area.

We are planning on wrapping the fascia of the house in aluminum siding since the boards are not in great condition and have several gaps/holes where bees would just rebuild their nest. Jim advised us that since we are going to be doing this anyway, it wasn't necessary to have him come out to treat the few bees that we saw since the bees would likely go away on their own anyway. He told us to save money on his service fee and not hire him for this particular job. I was very impressed by his knowledge and is HONESTY. He could have easily led us to believe that his services were necessary and we would have hired him, but he was very honest and saved us money. I really appreciated that!!

He advised that I should keep an eye on the situation, which i agree is the correct approach. The wasps are very active in the spring and fall and tend to congregate on the top east side of my home. I do not notice them in the summer. With his advise I will continue to watch to see if there is still activity during the summer also. If i don't notice any activity we will wait until the fall to treat the house. If there is activity through the summer he will come out sooner to address the issue. He was very professional and returned my call on a Sunday within 10 minutes of me leaving a message.

I discovered that yellow jackets were entering the house through a gap in the wall adjacent to the power line and building a nest near the circuit panel in our finished basement. I called another exterminator but he said he only deals with exterior nests and referred me to Bee Hunter. Bee Hunter came out the same day, examined the situation, and offered to exterminate the insects. I agreed, and the job was quickly done. No live bees were seen in the area thereafter.

Everything turned out well. They were very professional, prompt, and very conscientious about the rest of the house when they were doing their work.
