I wanted to add a kitchen ventilation system, I contacted the email provided and Dan Dragomir responded and asked me for pictures and details about the house? and sent me a price quote. Since he wanted more pictures,? I sent him more pictures of the house and details and asked him to let me know if he was interested in the job. He simply never responded. I am fine with any kind of response letting me know that he is not interested in a smaller project or whatever the reason may be, but to not respond at all is very unprofessional.

My experience with dRemodeling was very positive. I bought a row home knowing it would be a fixer upper but it ended up needing to be completely gutted and required a lot of structural repairs. Dan originally came to my property to submit a bid, and when we talked about the extensive structural work to be done, he got back to me a few days later saying that he wasn't comfortable with the needs of the project - honesty I appreciated. I asked him to ballpark what that work might cost just so that I could gauge the costs of the other bids I was receiving, and he took the time to itemize the cost for various parts of the job, knowing he likely wouldn't ever do work with me. I then hired an engineer and a contractor who ONLY does structural repairs, then had Dan come back and bid for the remainder of the work. I chose D.R. to complete my project after getting 2 other bids. D.R. was not the cheapest, but I felt I was getting the best value and felt very comfortable with Dan personally. I worked with two D.R. designers to lay out my kitchen and bathrooms, place lighting, pick materials and quantities. The design process was very good. Once work began, everything progressed quickly. The scope of my project was larger than D.R. usually takes on, but Dan managed the many moving pieces well. The work D.R. performed included: - lots of demolition, including removal of many layers of old subfloor - sistering termite eaten floor joists - correcting bowed ceiling joists; corrected a sloped floor, replace subfloor - drywall whole house, spackle, sand, prep for painting - frame from scratch the master suite; adding closets, doors, moldings, trims - complete home re-wire - 90% of the house has new plumbing - installed baseboard radiator heating - installed hardwood floor - completely redo two bathrooms (stone tiles, plumbing, electric, etc) - full kitchen redo; cabinets counters, marble backsplash, install appliances - install glass sliding door to the patio A word on Dan's materials suppliers and subcontractors. I was 100% happy with Craig Bickings the electrician; he is a class act. Dan's granite guy was the cheapest by far for the product I chose, which was a Caesar stone quartz product; the counters are flawless. Dan's carpet guy was the best value I could find; beating out Avalon flooring by a wide margin. Dan's custom shower glass guy was $400 cheaper than the next lowest bidder, all while providing thicker glass and better hardware. I have no doubt that if Dan recommends you use a certain person for work like this, that this person will be the best out there. Materials costs, as well, were cheaper than I could find by looking all over the internet and the city. Dan says he passes his discounts on to his customers and this is obvious, especially for the cabinets, marble, and hardwood I selected. Other positive thoughts on the process: 1) Dan and his designers were very accommodating of my indecision. We worked through many floor plans and design ideas, not to mention material selections. The bathroom vanities were ordered and when they came I wasn't in love with the finish, so D.R. worked with the supplier to exchange for another product (no cost to me). 2) When the job was done, my punch list of finishing requests was lengthy and meticulous. Dan's workers came out multiple times to work on the list. In the end, everything looks great. 3) My budget got tight so I asked Dan to credit me back for painting the whole house, which he did and I did not think he credited me a below-market rate for that work. Some negatives. 1) There were permit issues before the work started. The City Inspector put a stop work order on my property for not having the correct paperwork in place when work started. This caused a month's delay. Not a huge deal and likely par for the course when gutting a home in center city. 2) at times it was difficult to communicate with Dan. Phone calls were answered /returned around 50% of the time, though email replies would come quickly. 3) the cost reviews Dan sends were at times inaccurate and definitely not a good way to project for the total cost of a project as big as mine. Likely this is not a problem at all with a simple kitchen rehab. 4) Move in was delayed by a week because some necessities were not completed on time. That said, Dan's crew was working very hard to make my move in as painless as possible. 5) There were a few design elements that Dan's workers made executive decisions on which I didn't love; specifically the quality of doors purchased and the appearance of the stair railing installed. I would have preferred to make (or approve) those materials selections when needed. In sum, I had a very good experience with D.R. In spite of some of the negatives mentioned, Dan was very cooperative in correcting any and all issues we came across as the project was being completed. Dan never avoided an issue if I raised it, and would make sure that issues were corrected before moving on. I approached this project never having done any rehab work before (this is my first home), and I believe Dan guided me through the project as well as could be expected. I would absolutely hire D.R. again for a job of any scale. Many thanks go to Dan and everyone involved - my home is truly beautiful and I know it will last for many years to come.

We used Dremodeling first back a couple years ago for our kitchen reno. We live in Center City and have the challenges of most families who live in the city (space limitations, storage limitations, parking limitations, etc). We had a plan drawn up that completely rearranged our kitchen layout - moving gas lines, water lines, exhaust in particular. Dan and his team never flinched. The kitchen turned out as nice as we could have expected. Throughout the process, as with any reno, there were hiccups. Dremodeling took these all in stride, not only having the professionalism to deal with us (we are both working professionals with 2 children under the age of 6 at the time - and hey, we were without a functional kitchen), but the know how to overcome the obstacle without significant extra money or time. In the end, the timeline was a little longer than what we had been initially told, but we were and still are delighted with the result. More recently, we brought Dremodeling back to renovate our master suite (bedroom and bath). This was a complete reno down to the studs (like the kitchen) but (unlike the kitchen - first floor) this suite was on the top floor of our standard row home. Again, we had plans drawn up prior but did use Dan's office to help us with some of the details, such as the bedroom built-in cabinets. Again, the result was exactly what we had wanted. And although the room being renovated was on the top floor, they took the time to set-up tarps every morning and took them down every evening prior to leaving, providing as little distraction into our lives as possible. And that brings up another point - we trusted these guys explicitly. They had a key to our house, did all their work while we were out of the house, and even worked while we were on vacation (they activated and deactivated our burglar alarm for us). Now that the job is done, we still call Dan for small issues that have come up - he always is responsive and efficacious. We are looking at other parts of our house to redo and will certainly call Dan again.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Dan and his crew (Hi Cheyane) did an excellent job. I interviewed 4 contractors to finish my basement in my Philadelphia room home. Prices were all in the same ball park between 15-20K. Dan came out, took measurements, discussed my vision for the basement and promised to get back to me soon. BIG PRO: DAN and his team always, always got back to me promptly whenever I called or left messages. One big pet peeve of mine is when you leave a message for a contractor and it takes them 3 days to return your call. You will never have that issue with DRemodeling. some one always got in touch with me with 24 hours of my question or leaving a message. After getting back to me, I decided to go with his company based on him coming nearest to what I wanted for my basement. He probably was the 2nd highest in price but he was within my budget. next I was introduced to the designer cheyane, she is the one who I had most direct contact with as she is the one who help with me picking out modeling, panels, paints etc. great service. Once again I felt she was patient and professional. I would call her all the time after visiting home depot and lowes with new ideas. workers in the house were also great. respectful, courteous and willingly discussed any spur of the moment questions or concerns I had. The only issue we had was toward the end, the carpet installer Dremodeling had was not the best, kept calling out for the schedule carpet installation. lol, Dan ended up using the installing that I had given him from the carpet store. Next summer I'm continuing my home remodel with the kitchen. Dremodeling will be the first company I call

A great deal of construction needed to occur on this job despite the size and as usual, the length of the project and impact to the rest of the house is the one thing you always want to forget. I was heavily involved in the design and knew what I wanted and this is always a plus. As I've worked with everyone on previous projects we know each other and how I think and plan. The end project is beautiful and have another project lined up for next year.

We had an empty space in our kitchen and an opportunity to add a breakfast bar on a half wall that separates the kitchen and dining room. Dremodeling used pictures and dimensions I sent them to procure a white floor cabinet that matches my other cabinets and they found a piece of butcher block for the top. The wood came unstained which made me very nervous, but after a few very responsive phone calls from Dan the owner, he made me feel very comfortable with his team cutting and staining the wood. And, wow, was he right - his team did such a fantastic job cutting and staining, my kitchen looks amazing. His team also had to cut inside my half wall to add studs so they could add a counter top on the half wall -again, I was really nervous, but Dan's team are such experts and when they attached the wall back together, you couldn't even tell they had to cut it down. I highly recommend dremodeling, so much that I have asked them for a quote to gut and install 2 new full bathrooms in my house. I trust them and they were very professional during each and every conversation.

We needed help redesigning the kitchen in our new house, and we thought we could use help. The layout was to stay the same, so we needed assistance with the choice of colors, materials, etc. I called before buying the coupon and explained what we needed. We also described what we needed when we met with Dan, the owner. But once we received what we thought would the first draft, we were told that it "completed work associated with the Angie's List Coupon", and that additional work would require an additional fee.?Unfortunately, apparently the service provided was just for layout help. So we didn't get what we were looking for, at all.? I chose not to give the business a D or F because once we expressed our disappointment, they were apologetic for the "confusion" and offered to do additional work for free and/or refund.

Dan and Devin were great to work with and were very helpful with our kitchen design. At the end of the day we ended up going with a friend of the family to do our kitchen, however, if we didn?t have that option we would have went with D Remodeling. It was also nice that they had a showroom were you could go and actually see and feel the cabinets you can order. We will keep them in mind for future work.

We were met by Devin, an interior designer, who was very professional and patient. She took down the bathroom measurements, listened to our requirements, and reviewed the list of options for materials. We did not discuss the cost of the actual remodeling in depth, just a high level estimate based on class of materials to be used. About 1 week later we were sent an email of design options. Although we decided not to do the remodeling this experience was positive. Devin has a lot of enthusiasm and is very professional.

Rep was very nice but they don't accept projects under 10k. I would strongly recommend not to push customers based on price. Due to my experience I will not call them in the future with other properties I own that need work over 20k. This small job (5k-7k) and I had a lot more work for them.

The company states there was a misunderstanding in the what I needed and stated that I should request a refund.

We had a outdated bathroom that needed a complete gut job.? DR remodeled the entire bathroom and worked us to pick out the details we wanted.? Dan (the owner) does all he can to make sure his customers are satisfied with the finished product.

We had a great experience with dRemodeling. From the first design consultation to the last walk through,the dRemodeling team was always professional, considerate, accommodating and efficient. From the moment I contacted Dan for an estimate, he was responsive and attentive. He came the next day after I called him (he was on time) and he took the necessary measures. He then suggested I get a design consultation with Cheyanne-dRemodeling designer-so I could have a better idea of what I wanted. At first, I was hesitant about paying the design fee, but I was happy I did! it is really helpful to have the 3-D render of the kitchen so you can visualize it (I reconfigured the entire kitchen plus a new window). After a couple of back-and-forth emails, I got the design I wanted and Cheyanne sent me a list of material options/prices so I could pick whatever suited my style and budget (they work with specific cabinet companies and they suggested I use them, which I did-they seem like good-quality plywood/hardwood cabinets) . Within three weeks Dan scheduled the demolishing and his crew started working on the kitchen right away. They came at 8am everyday and left by 4pm (I came home every day to a clean working site). There were a couple of unexpected issues (like an electric box that needed to be updated in order to plug all the new appliances and some rotten studs that needed to be replaced) but dRemodeling team let us know right away, gave us the revised project cost so we can decide what to do. At the end, the project took around 8 weeks and we were very happy with the results. Our kitchen looks amazing! We will definitely use them again in the future!

We have had a terrific experience to date in working with Dan Dragomir and Devin Mearig of dRemodeling to design and select finishes for our kitchen, and we have contracted to work with Dan to implement the remodeling project (to begin in January 2015). We initially planned on doing an IKEA remodel of our kitchen, but needed to make some structural changes (wall removal) so met with several contractors to discuss the project. We found dRemodeling on Angie's List. Dan and his team were promptly responsive to our initial inquiry, and when we discussed the project and learned about their very affordable design services (which can be credited either to cabinetry purchases or to the labor cost), we decided to work with dRemodeling to do a more comprehensive design for the kitchen. We ultimately got a terrific deal on higher quality cabinetry than we were originally considering by going through dRemodeling, and Devin has been fantastic to work with throughout the design process - she has thoughtful suggestions and is extremely prompt and responsive to our questions and requests. We are looking forward to working with the team to implement the project and start enjoying a new kitchen in the new year!

The price was ridiculous. He would not bend on the price at all, even as I tried to include other rooms to make the price come down on anything. I had so many projects to do, that the price was unrealistic for me.

The gentleman was on time. Told me he would email the estimates. He got back to me in a couple of days. The estimate for the powder room was 2145.00 only 3x6. Laundry room 8x10 4400.00 i was insulted. If you're not interested, please don't waste your or my time.

They were very easy to work with and gave us two options of what the kitchen could look like. All prices were included - from cabinetry to the labor. We were given catalogs with cabinetry options to choose from. They listened to our requests and ideas about what we would like in the kitchen. Most of our communication was through email and their responses were quick.

Excellent. Dan and Cheyanne were wonderful to work with. Dan made the original contact, took pictures and measurements, then came back with some concepts. I had a very unusual shaped basement and also had 3 support beams in the most inconvenient place. Dan and Cheyanne came back with some solutions that maximized my space. Once we agreed on the plans and I accepted a quote, the work began. workers were on time every day, polite and professional. Cheyanne updated me daily via email or phone, answering any questions I have and entertained all my ideas that I bounced off of her. I went over the original project quote with upgrades but it was all my choice and I love the upgrades. The finish project was outstanding! the solutions for the utility room and the storage area were superb. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who I know

He was friendly, punctual and knowledgable. They followed up with emails and phone calls. They were not pushy at all.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that the transformation of this home is nothing short of a miracle. Devin, our designer, along with Dan and his amazing crew, created a brand new home in 5 weeks. My husband and I bought the property as an investment. Although the house is in an excellent location; it was in awful condition. We got it at a good price because the fireplace was so large and hideous that I was sure that when the crew removed it, they would find Jimmy Hoffa in there. The only bathroom in the house had a toilet that was so close to the door that only a child could actually completely sit on it. The kitchen floor had to be completely removed and all the joists needed to be replaced, because of termite damage. From a design aspect, I would have been lost without Devin. Somehow she made a very small galley kitchen, look large, bright, and beautiful. I asked her to figure out how to have a breakfast bar for two and magically she designed it. She was even able to fit in a wine rack, utilizing every inch of the kitchen. I greatly appreciated her showing me a kitchen cabinet that was less expensive than what I had originally wanted and looked even better. When you are renovating a kitchen and bath, you really need help picking the right materials and to have someone who can show you how to properly utilize the space. Because, no matter what...it is expensive. So working with the right company is really crucial. The bathroom; which was such a disaster, is now magazine beautiful. I chose a porcelain tile for the floor that looked like limestone. Devin said to order the largest tile they made. I was unsure as to how that would look, but when I saw it I almost cried. It was so dramatic. It really looks like slabs of limestone, but so much less expensive. A few words about Dan and his crew. I told Dan at our first meeting that the house had to be finished by September 1. We closed on a Friday and on Saturday he had a crew demolishing the inside of the house. When I would stop by there were so many people working that I knew the house would be finished in time. A lot of people go through a major renovation and have horror stories to tell. Not me! Dremodeling was an absolute joy to work with. They completed the task on time and even when problems arose, (the house was built in 1910!) they dealt with it and got back on schedule. I want to particularly note that Jon, was always at the house very early in the am working on the staircase. This man is an artist. He took such care in the creation of the staircase. I so appreciated that. Also, Vlad and Val for their hard and difficult work. I appreciated the professionalism of this company. How they respected my budget and kept me abreast of the work that was done. There is no question that I highly recommend them.

First off, our bathroom looks awesome. When we contacted dRemodeling, Cheyanne, the designer came out right away to look at the awful bathroom we had in our master suite. She was on time, and super friendly. She took measurements and chatted with us about what we wanted. We decided to start looking at Houzz to get ideas for our new design. The design process was good. Cheyanne was really creative at helping us to acheive the look we wanted while also being cost-conscious. She ordered great materials and was really good helping us fill in the blanks where we weren't sure what to choose in order to complete the look we were going for. Once we got all of the materials ordered and decided on, we scheduled to start the first week of January. Construction was quick when the crew was at our house. There were some periods where nobody showed up--granted, there was some snow to deal with and on some days where nobody would make it, they would let us know. But there were some days where nobody came and we didn't know what the status was. Not really a big deal in the long run because the crews were really nice, attentive to additional things we needed help with during the course of the project, and we felt comfortable with them in our home. Those are so much more important than a few random no-show days. Dan, the man in charge, was really accomodating and addressed any concerns we had pretty quickly. As did Cheyanne. The project took longer than expected, but as I mentioned earlier we had quite a bit of snow, and our vanity was held up with the shipper, which was irritating but not dRemodeling's fault as they ordered the piece with more than ample lead time. In the end, the piece is beautiful. The bathroom is beautiful. We are very happy with the quality of the work. We would definitely use them in the future because quality is paramount.

Overall, we're very happy with the results. It took a little bit of effort to get things scheduled and confirmed, but once they were there and working everything was fine. The final product was exactly what we were expecting, so that's a plus. We would use dRemodeling again.

They are very professional, very detail-oriented. Their contractors very well sold out their full service operation, however, I was not interested in one company doing all my work because I had specific requirements that didn't quite fit what they do. So, I had several contractors working on my kitchen on different parts of it, and that was a little difficult for them, because they have to schedule around other contractors, but they made it through. They pretty much follow my instructions as to do it the way I wanted it and their staff is very professional. They really make sure that they did a good job on everything. So I'm thrilled with my kitchen. Overall, they dealt with the differences in my job pretty well, although we had some when the scheduling was difficult because of the interruptions and I was a little bit upset with the fact that they were trying to push scheduling on me to do the work for me. We had a little bit of a couple of tense moments around trying to schedule things and they were not being very understanding of my request.
