This was a whole house paint job prior to listing the property for sale. Everything went smoothly and the end result looks great. There was a little confusion about color choices in one of the rooms but Barry sorted it out quickly. The team finished quickly and was right on budget.

Barry was great to have in our home and had a good team with him. They did a great job with the details of all walks, trim and stairs on 3 levels including 2 bathrooms, a nursery and large open basement and kitchen. They were professional, timely and checked in throughout the process. He even offered to come back if any areas still needed detail attention. I would recommend him and plan to use him again when we paint other floors and rooms!

Barry was very responsive and was great at working with us to help get the project within our budget. He had a good team and everything they worked on came out very high quality. The team's attention to detail was great.

Barry Bush and his crew were great, and we will definitely use them again. The quote was very reasonable for the scope of work, which included two bedrooms (both with cathedral ceilings), two long hallways, a bathroom, a utility closet, three flights of stairs (and railings), and 14 doors. On top of that, Barry and his team performed a lot of minor repair work due to many nail pops and poor seam work by the home builder. Overall, a great experience, and we plan on hiring Barry again soon for a couple more rooms.

Finished job looks great. Prompt and professional work. Barry was responsive and clear through the estimating and scheduling period. Pricing was reasonable. The painting team showed up on time both days, and finished on schedule. They were good about leaving the house tidy both evenings--mid-job and upon completion.

Barry and his team did a great job painting pretty much our 4 storey house. The work included ceilings, walls, trim, crown molding, closet doors and bedroom doors. Barry estimated it would take one week to do the work. He finished it in 6 days which was fine with us as we didn't want to rush over quality. Barry kept us informed everyday about the progress and the work that was going to be accomplished the next day. We will certainly consider Barry for any future paint work.

Barry and his team are lovely people who take pride in their good work. They gave us a good price and our paint is stunning. They treated our house like they would their own. I look forward to having them back for future projects.

He is excellent. They were easy to work with. The price was reasonable. They went above and beyond. I liked them a lot. So I had them come back and do some additional work in a bathroom that wasn’t ready to paint yet and Barry painted that himself and it was very high quality. They are great people to work with. I ended up sing him the first time because the reviews on him were very good and he got back to me right away. I got the impression that he was a fair employer that he had a very experienced crew and that was all true. Whenever I have something in the future, I will call Barry and if he can’t get to it right away, I will just wait until I can get on his schedule because he is very busy now but it is worth the wait.

All the comments from previous Angie's List customers were totally true! Barry is a gem and his crew does excellent work. He responds promptly to all e-mails and phone calls, arrives on time, and follows through on anything discussed. The young men who do the work are terrific. I spoke with them and discovered that they have been with Barry for quite some time, but it is their "day job." On their own time they are artists who create and sell their work! So this is not your usual work crew! I felt confident to leave them alone in the house while they worked. As others have commented, they cleaned up everything very nicely. All in all, this was a painless and successful project. Even enjoyable. Now there's a statement only a few people can make about contractors!

Barry was very responsive via phone and email. He came through for a quote on our drywall job and was very professional and confident. Due to scheduling issues we weren't able to go with Barry, but I would not hesitate to call him in the future.

Barry and his team are great - we had hired them before and will hire them again whenever we have work to be done. The quality of the work is excellent and Barry is a pleasure to deal with. He is very responsive by email and kept us informed of his busy schedule so we could make adjustments - in the end, there was a 1-2 week delay in getting started, but we weren't in a huge hurry and he's worth the wait. Barry gave us an accurate estimate and the bill came in right on target. Barry also gave me very helpful advice that allowed us to fix a roof leak simply and cheaply before his team got started. They left the house spotless and we couldn't be happier with the work and the overall experience. We will definitely be contacting Barry in the future as needed!

So good, I am still in shock. They are an amazing team. No fuss, no mess, no anxiety. They care for your home as if it were their own. The team is in sinc. You need not worry about confusion over any project. They make sure they understand what you want to have done, and then they ask throughout the project if that is acceptable. Yet, you are hardly aware that they see there. So gentlemanly.

It went extremely well. We would certainly use them again.

I was a little disappointed with the quality of the work Barry's team did. The walls and window sill (which a key feature of the apartment because it is about 18 inches wide and 20 feet long) needed sanding and repair. Barry's estimate included wall repair and painting the ceiling. Barry seemed be surprised about having to paint the ceiling on the day he stated the job, although he did it. The wall repair was marginal. The paint on the window sill was really bad because he just painted over the old layers of paint which were in various state of chipping away. When I complained about this, Barry told me the sill was metal and it would be extremely costly to remove it and sand it properly. I told him I wish I knew that before the job was completed, then I could have decided if I wanted to spend the extra $$ for sanding the sill or or not, either way, my expectations would have been set better. Other nits: lots of paint drippings/blops on the new flooring and some paint drippings where too much paint was applied at once and it dried on the wall like that. Also, all the outlet covers/plates were just painted over, rather than removed and put back after painting. the paint just scrapes right off when one uses the light switch or when something is plugged in and lightly scrapes the outlet plate. I requested that the tiles in the bathroom be painted expecting a professional job with special paint for tile or special prep/paint technique, but it was just painted over, this too scrapes off very easily (like if my fingernail hits it). I could have painted over tiles as good as Barry's team did it. I like the colors I picked out and the place looks much nicer than it did before the painting, but I really feel the quality of the job could have been much better. My feeling is they just threw a coat of paint over everything. Barry seems very busy and perhaps did not allocate enough time for my job. Of note, when I stated my concerns, Barry did come back over and fix a few items (like an uncleaned vent that was partially painted over with dirt and all)... In summary, I would not use Barry again, although it wasn't the worst experience, I feel I could have done better with a different painter.

It went great! Barry is so easy to work with and really a delight. He was very upfront about his availability to do the work. Once he scheduled us, his team was prompt every morning, very respectful of our house and cats, and very careful to clean at the end of each day. When they encountered a few unexpected situations they had good, practical ideas to solve problems and easily adapted to a few changes in the scope that we requested. The job was a bit of a grind and they worked diligently all day long to get the work done on schedule. At the end of the job, Barry was very careful to ensure that they took care of everything we had agreed to before they wrapped up and moved to another job. We enjoyed working with Barry and his crew, and look forward to working with them again.

Barry and his team were great. Barry got back to us within a day of contacting him for a quote for our home and worked within our budget. He gave advice on what types of paint would work best for our home. He kept us updated on when he would be able to start our project. He and his team were very clean, they made sure everything was tidied up before they left for the day. They were efficient, took them 4 and a half days to finish the project. The inside of the house looks beautiful!

I contacted Barry by phone initially. He encouraged us to believe he and his crew could do the work, though he was busy. When we had a delay on our end because closing date for settlement was changed, I contact him again and he said he could work with that and we began to talk about a day he could look at the work. When the appointment day arrived, he was there on time. He gave a little advice on paint finishes and sent an estimate promptly. He and crew of three arrived just as they had scheduled and worked professionally with care for getting it right. He maintains a good deal of oversight and seems to have a respectful relationship with crew members. No one will leave trash in or around your home or annoy you or your neighbors. They did a fine job and finished early dispute running into some repair work due to a leak and some extra trim painting I requested. Barry Bush keeps in contact about the work and expectations. He answers emails the same day and told me he also keeps up with texts. I am really pleased with the work and would recommend him to anyone. It is tough to have relative strangers around one's home all day, but these people make it as pleasant as it can be.

Hired Barry to repair the badly cracked plaster ceilings in two offices and drywall and paint the walls in a bedroom. The workers were extremely professional and courteous. There was an issue with one of the ceilings that required multiple scraping and reapplication of plaster in order to get a smooth finish. They stayed until the job was satisfactory even thought it took two men an extra day. They were very diligent about cleaning up before they left and the finishes in the rooms all look like new. I give them my highest recommendation.
