Emergency Door Services

The overall experience was great! I received a call back right away on my initial request for information about one of their current $99 specials. The fellow I spoke with didn't think that I would necessarily need that service but that the person he sent out (Dean) would assess what I did need and would let me know. Dean was available earlier than the appointment time, and he called to see if I would be available earlier. He took a look at the garage door, gave me an assessment, cleaned up the underside of the door, checked all the connections, rehung and retacked the wires, lubed all the joints, checked the bearings and tracks. Then he got me two new remotes that worked with the current opener system (I didn't have any working remotes), and he installed a keypad entry system. He told me the price of everything up front so I could decide what I wanted him to do. The whole job was finished in about half an hour and the price was great. I'm extremely pleased!

Showed up on time, were fast and professional and even put new cement anchors into the base of the garage door opener to make sure it would not shake. They found a safety issue and fixed it for a nominal charge as well. The door now opens and closes on the first try. I will definitely use them again when I need more garage door work.

I called because the company was having a special. The person I spoke with said that it was probably more than I needed done. He gave me an estimate to have the springs replaced and install an outdoor touch pad to my garage door. The price was less than the special. The came on the day they said they would and performed the work and the cost was exactly what they had estimated. Everything is working fine.

Emergency Door was on time, very professional, and cleaned up after themselves when they finished. They came in on time and on budget even though they discovered that due to the old door installation that they needed to do a bit more work. Emergency Door did three things that ensure that I would use them again. First, when we asked for an insulated garage door he took the time to review the various doors and their r factor and then looked at our garage and explained which one would be best for us (no sense having a door with the highest insulation factor if the rest of the garage is not insulated anywhere near that level). So we got the door that fit our situation, not the most expensive one. Second, he explained why the door we had wasn't closing correctly and how he could fix that with the new door so that we felt comfortable that a new door would solve the problem. And lastly, we live in an older house and when he was doing the work a couple of minor issues popped up, rather than push through them, which he could have done, he called us in to discuss the best resolution for us. They did a great job. The new garage door and opener are so quiet that it took our dogs a couple of days to recognize when someone was coming or going! It's been 6 months and we are still completely delighted with the work. I would certainly recommend Emergency Door to anyone inquiring.

I called Emergency door services Thursday and told me they could come Friday. The gentleman who set up the appointment was clear and actually gave me an estimate of the cost of fixing the door based on my problem. Paul came Friday with a helper at the schedule time and they fix the door in about 45 minutes. The price was fair for the work they did. They encounter a little problem since the floor of my garage was a little crooked but they figured it out quickly. I will use them again.

It went great...only called @ 8:30 am and Paul was there when they said he would be at 1PM. He analyzed the problem told me what he would do. He got right to work. Paul was very polite...efficent and a nice guy. I had used this company previously and meant to write a review...very pleased.

They replaced the door of the garage and even replaced the pulley. They were good overall. I liked them very much.

I was very impressed with this company and highly recommend them. Scheduling couldn't have been easier. The service man arrived promptly (even ahead of time) and the service was completed in less time than I anticipated. Service man was very pleasant and professional and gave me honest feedback on the condition of the door function- all greatly appreciated.

Contractor showed up and spent 5 minutes examining doors. Told us we needed additional work. I told him to do the tune up as paid for. He called his boss spoke to him for a few minutes hung up and then said it was a waste of time. He left without doing anything. I was supposed to get free rollers or remote keypad with the tune up. Did not receive anything. This "Big Deal" was a big ripoff. The contractor's objective was to make his money by finding additional work to make up for the $99.00 tune up. I called their office and spoke to the serviceman's boss. He said they would come back and perform the tune up. Told him I didn't want them to return.

It was a positive experience. They did a very nice job. They actually fixed something I was having a problem with. You can't beat the price, I think it was regularly a $250.00 item.

Very professional and knowledgeable!! The new garage door opener is much quieter than the old one. I am very satisfied with their service and would reccommend them to my friends and family.

From the first call to make my appt through the final service visit today, this company "exceeded" my expectations. The first gentleman Ray arrived promptly and also called prior to arriving. During his visit I decided to have the 30+ year old opener replaced due to its poor condition. Ray was able to get the new opener and return an hour later to install...now that is service!!! He was outstanding and provided me with different options, but never tried to "oversale" me. Paul was also on site and explained in detail all of the features, safety instructions in a very professional detailed manner. He made sure I had all of the necessary paperwork and also made sure I was aware of warranty information. These 2 men were extremely pleasant, professional and very knowledgeable regarding their services. I thought the price was very reasonable also. This compnay should be very proud of their employees. I highly recommend this company and will be looking to them in the spring for a new garage door. Thank you both for a very positive service experience.

I called after finding listing on Angie's list. I did get an appointment that day. I did end calling the office back when that 2hour window came and went. The guy on the phone contacted the tech and said he was 5 mins away. Wheen he did arrive he headed to the garage good thing I was looking out for him. Once he got started things went well and quickly. I was pleased with the work. All done in less than a half an hour.

When I called they took me right in. The only glitch is they were supposed be here at a specific time, and called his boss, and his boss did not call me about it. It was the boss that didn't call me. He was a nice guy and quick and did what he was supposed to do.

I choose them over another company. They picked up instantly and gave me an instant feedback. They made an appointment for the next day and came out the next day. They didn't have a part that was needed and so they came the following day.

I was very pleased with their services. The first time I had them come out it was based on Angies List offer where I had $25 or $50 off what they normally charge for the maintenance of the door, when they come out and lubricate the doors themselves. This was three or four months ago. Then I had a problem with the garage door opener and I called them again directly. They came out and replaced the garage door opener motor itself. So they have been here twice. Basically the gentleman who came out to do the work was very professional. Also they were able to come to my home pretty much right away. There was no delay as far as when they could come out to take care of my problem. They were pretty responsive. Price wise I really did not have the time to compare the price. It seemed reasonable to me. I will use them again.

I had never used this company before. Found them this morning on Angie's list. Called and they were able to fit me in for an emergency garage door repair. I was pleased with the work. And the one service tech "Paul" was very helpful in explaining things to me.

Gentleman arrived on time or a little early and provided the inspection and oiling as requested. We also had some questions on trying to keep cold air out of our basement and he was grascious in answering all of our questions. Described the purchasing and instalation of an insulated door with no high pressure! I would use the company any time for garage door problems!

Approximately a week ago I discovered that my garage door was stuck. I called Emergency Door Services on Tuesday, May 3rd and left a message indicating that I needed emergency service. By the time I left to go out of town that Friday, May 6th, I still had not received a call back. When I returned Monday, May 8th, I called again that morning. Again, no response. I called Tuesday afternoon to inquire if anyone was interested in actually coming to fix my garage door, and alas, still no response. I then called another company on Angie's List, Thomas V. Giel Corporation, and received a call back in less than 10 minutes. The lady told me they could have a repairman here today and would even do the job while I was at work so I didn't have to take time off! Now, that's service....

In November, 2010, an accident damaged the bottom panel on one of the garage doors. We called Emergency Door Services and they came out to access the damage in a timely manner. They said the manufacturer of the door changed the color and they would see if they had a panel to match our existing door, or they would order one for us even if we had to have the panel painted to match. When we didn't hear anything from them for weeks, we called several times and spoke to a girl that worked there and left messages with her. They never returned our calls. In April, 2011, I decided to once again try to resolve this problem. I left several messages with no return calls. I called one last time on April 8th and finally did speak to Ray on the phone. He was very nice and promised to get back to me that evening. He returned my call and said he thought they had a panel for the door but that he didn't have access to their warehouse and would get back to me the following Monday, April 11th. A full week went by but I never received a call. Called three more times and left messages and no returned calls. I have never dealt with a company with such terrible customer service and that doesn't afford you the courtesy of a return call. I can't understand all the good reviews.
