My husband handled them and his experience with them went pretty well. They provided good service and everything else about them was also good with nothing bad.

He was on time very efficient , pleasant and very professional.

He arrived and went to work. He weather stripped my garage door and he oiled the rails and made some adjustments.

It turned out just fine. I was pleased with everything that was done. There wasn't any additional charge other than the big deal amount. He was professional and punctual. I would definitely hire them again.

Excellent from start to finish. Professional, punctual and quality work. There were complete in 30 min. They're clearly experts. All of my garage door work with be with Emergency Door Services.

arrived on time & did the work well; examined door opener which was having problems on & off; suggested contacting genie as they have a "life time warranty." However, found that warranty is not transferrable to new owner. Suggested replacing entire garage door instead of replacing a missing hinge with has since been replaced by a handiman

I had been told by the work scheduler that the earliest time that his guys could be at my home was at around 1:00pm the day of the repair. His guys were there almost exactly to the minute of the appointed time and set-to-work immediately. They never hesitated, they took one look at the garage door spring and immediately proceeded to engage in the repair. One hour later approximately, they were completely done with not only the repair, but had managed to re-rig the entire garage door lubricating the door in the process, and as a wonderful courtesy, went to the effort of lubricating the tracks, rollers,and hinges of the other garage door. SIMPLY FANTASTIC!! To this day, the repaired garage door clearly sounds like and operates like a totally professionally installed door that was worked on by master door techs! The door NEVER operated nor sounded as good as it does today; and we built the house fourteen years ago!!! IF YOU WANT YOUR GARAGE DOOR REPAIRED, REPLACED OR TUNED-UP, MAKE SURE YOU CALL EMERGENCY DOOR SERVICES INC.!!!!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!! I AM VERY PARTICULAR ABOUT MY HOME AND THESE GUYS WERE SIMPLY THE BEST...HANDS DOWN!!!!

Cannot get the cover off the keypad

Overall, this went well. A part had to be ordered. Greg said it would take about 2 weeks to get the part in. 3 weeks went by and we didn't hear anything. We left a message and we still didn't get a return call. I called again and he did call back and we set up the appointment. The guys that came were really nice and professional. The price was also good.

I called the company earlier in the week to report one of the pulley cables on my garage door had broken. Greg suggested I leave my garage door open, if possible, until the repair could be competed. Because they were so busy, however, it would be 4 days before they could come to the house to do the repair. The day of the repair, Greg called and told me his technician was working behind schedule and gave me the option of receiving a late call that evening (Friday) or accept services the following day (Saturday). I chose the following day. Because the technician (Ray) arrived later than scheduled (due to his appointments), he advised he was instructed to replace the broken cable and the OTHER cable WITHOUT CHARGE for the materials. Ray also instructed me on the benefits of annually oiling the moving parts of I the pulley system (which I can do myself). It is obvious this service provider is interested in quality work and maintaining its customer base.

I called Monday morning and left a message. I called back approx 30 min after they opened as no one had called me back. Apparently there were a lot of messages over the weekend as he was still going through them when I called back. He (Greg?)was very helpful over the phone, explained things very clearly. Unfortunately I had a door that was contractor grade so he was pretty sure that I would have to change the whole system or order a whole new part to replace my existing one. Prices to change it out verses replacing the current system were about the same. He scheduled someone to come out between 1 and 3 pm the same day so that was great. When no one was here by 3:15 I called and they said that they were about 5 miles from my house and they were on their way over and that he had over estimated how quickly his guys could get things done with their previous appts. When they still weren't at my house by 4:15 I was furious. I called and talked to Amy (who was very gracious in handling me in my anger, very professional...sorry!) and she found out for me again when they would be arriving at my house. I could not understand how it could take an hour to drive 5 miles to my house and no one else seemed to know why either. I told her that I wanted to be compensated for my time and she could not authorize that, but asked if I wanted Greg to call me back. I said yes, he never did call me back. When the guys finally arrived, I was given no explanation as to what happened, but they quickly assessed what the problem was, fortunately had everything they needed on the truck, and had the whole thing done in about 45 minutes. They were very thorough in their explanation and their work, and fixed the track which was installed incorrectly by the builder. They also lubricated everything, made sure the garage door opener worked, plus a few other maintenance items. They did not leave a mess, either. Happy with the work, not happy with the waste of my time. It would have been nice to be informed that they were going to be late so that I didn't waste 3 hours of my afternoon waiting and not knowing. It was also pretty disappointing to me that Greg did not return my call when Amy asked if that was what I wanted.

The maintenance was scheduled for 9am, because my son's car is of necessity parked in front of the garage until he leaves for work about 8:30. I waited for the service man to arrive, called to find out when he would arrive, and had to leave a voice mail. When I scheduled, I told the company rep that I had to leave before 10am. I left and when I returned 2 hours later, there was a sticker inside the garage with the company information on it. I could see no evidence that any work had been done. I didn't really know what to look for. I received a voice mail later in the day stating that the technician had been at my house at 8 o'clock & that no one had answered the door. Well, the appointment was for 9! I was not expecting anyone at 8 and did not hear anyone. I had asked for the serviceman to check for a problem I was having - the door not closing when the weather was very cold. That was not taken care of as the problem continued throughout the winter. I really don' feel I can rate this company, because I don' know if they did any work.

I am very pleased with their service. The office responded to my message promptly and rerouted one of their servicemen to my house. Paul was hard working and professional. Price was fair. A good transaction I would call them again.

Outstanding! I left a message last evening. The company called promptly at 9 AM, and scheduled service for an hour later. The crew identified the problem instantly, gave me a quote, replaced the broken spring, and even adjusted the drive motor to prevent a future breakdown. They were courteous, friendly, and professional. I would very highly recommend them.

I had an appointment between 10 am - 12 pm. When I made the appointment I was told that it would probably be closer to 10 am. When no one had arrived by 11:55 am I telephoned their office. After being on hold while they tried to find out what had caused the delay, I was finally told that the repair person had taken his jobs for the day out of order and would not be available until at least 1:00 pm. I was quite annoyed as I had other appointments scheduled for that day which then had to be altered. The office asked if I would like to reschedule but that was impossible so I agreed to the later arrival. The repair person arrived at approximately 1:10 pm and immediately diagnosed and fixed the garage door safety sensor within 2 minutes. When I was presented with a bill for the service call I was rather shocked as I had now wasted over 3 hours of my time waiting for the repair person to arrive. I telephoned their office and expressed my surprised at the bill for the service call. The woman on the phone was quite indignant and would only say that since I had agreed to the late arrival I was responsible for the bill. I paid the bill reluctantly. I was quite surprised that as a result of their poor communication with their employees I was still charged for the service call after I had wasted over 3 hours of my time. I would have thought that as a gesture of good will they have at least reduced the charges rather than being rude on the telephone. Their repair people are quite competent and it is unfortunate that I would never use their services again due to their rudeness. I spoke to the owner the following day. He was aware of the incident, accepted responsibility for their error, but said that since their person had come and fixed the problem I should have been charged. After asking me what I wanted, I said that I would have at least expected a reduced charge yesterday (before I paid the bill). He then offered me a 25% reduction in my bill which I refused as "too little, too late" as the damage had been done. He also expressed disbelief that the woman on the phone had been indignant and rude. I advised him that I was sending this report to Angie's List.

Anytime they do what they say and they do it timely and professionally. It was a good experience. I would tell others that they would probably get the same good experience that we did.

It was a very good experience. The service man explained what was to be lubricated and why. He also told me where to purchase the appropriate product for the job. He went the extra mile and checked out one of the hand held openers which didn't work, even with new battery in it. After having looked at it, adjusting something and replaced the battery, at no extra charge, it was working again.. He was very knowledgeable, personable young man. Yes, if need be, we would call him again.

This is my third time using Emergency Door Services and I was again highly satisfied. Gregg was great to fit me in for same day service so I could safely open the garage door and have the use of my car right away. Paul did the service and he was very professional and quick. He even replaced a burnt out bulb for me. Emergency Door Services has very fair pricing and excellent service, I have already recommended them to my friends. Thanks guys!!! It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. This is the second time I've used them so obviously I would recommend them. The garage door was 17 years old when I moved into the house so I don't know exactly how old it is. They pointed out a couple of minor things and I asked them what I should do about it. They said to have it checked from time to time. I would use them if I needed a new garage door or opener. They get out here quickly. I used them at one point to replace the rubber stripping.

Great, very nice guys, on time, made sure I knew how to operate the new opener as it was a little different than the old one. They did such a good job we are having them come back and do additional work.

I purchased a 99.00 "big deal" on line. From initial call to service performed was about a week. My garage door is old and had not been looked at for years. The company came out and gave it a tune up, by greasing the rollers and making sure it was safe to use. I was happy with the service.

Fast - efficient and friendly!

Paul showed up promptly was very professional and friendly. Did the required work - once completed had me come out to run the door myself since I am more familiar with the sounds and way the door was running versus how it should. Was very satisfied with the results.

Scheduling was very easy. The technician arrived on time and assessed the situation. He went over my garage door and found a part that was broken. He was able to find a replacement part and make the necessary repair. The garage door works much better now. Plus, I have a new keyless entry system for the garage door.

The work they did was exceptional, the time it took faster than I thought possible. They cleaned up afterward as well as I would have myself. There have been no problems with the door since installation. The price was reasonable, work done professionally and on time. Can't ask for much more from a company.
