I apologize we did not get back in touch with you. We have a very high volume of calls and requests for work and we do not have extra staff to accommodate. You also seem to have called during our vacation week. We are only a family owned business. Have a heart, how do you give someone a F if you have never spoke to them or worked with them?

The addition went very well. They where hired to do the addition all the way to the electric. Me and my son finished the insulation and drywall. When they got started, they kept the work moving along with some changes we made while being built. Some of the project had changes being made as built because it was easier to decide as you could see the work being done. Justin, the owner, was very easy to work with and made suggestions as we went along. Our township doesn't require detailed drawings so we were able to make the changes we wanted easily. The job site was always left neat considering they had a tractor to dig a foundation and the weather didn't always co-operate. I would definitely recommend them without hesitation. He finished the job as quoted even with some adjustments that were made. The job came out better than we expected because of some suggestions Justin made which we agreed to do. An example was adding brick to the bottom floor. Originally we were only going to brick about 3 feet up of the bottom floor. Justin made an offer to brick up to 8 feet at a very reasonable price. The difference in looks was unbelievable. This something that may not have been done with another contractor. Sometimes. as a home owner, you don't always see what a contractor who does this all the can see. Also, his employees were as nice as he was. .

Klipa contracting did a wonderful job and we are very pleased with his candor, workmanship, professionalism and work ethics. We have asked the builder to do the same before we moved in and the response was not to our satisfaction. Justin was very prompt in returning the calls, recommend the options with pros and cons of each option. The contract was without any legal innuendo and straight forward. The shower is an addition to the powder room and required extension of the existing walls. The installation, plumbing and electrical work went beyond our expectations. Following Installation, the walls are painted to match the existing powder room, the floor tiles are installed to perfection and one cannot tell that the shower is an addition at the end. The grout work for tiles was meticulous. The clean up after each day was outstanding and we hardly had to do any cleaning. We were hesitant to add the range hood due to required work/ modifications in the house to install the duct work. He and his crew have installed the Hood over the range of our choice by following all the fire safety and code regulations. At no time did he or his staff tried to sell a product of their choice or inflate the cost of doing the work. The electrical work in other rooms was out side the contract and done to perfection. His crew included excellent electricians, Plumbers and carpenters who are very meticulous, personable and trust worthy. We intend to finish our basement next year and without doubt will be calling Mr. Klipa and his staff. We recommend Klipa contracting highly without any reservation.
Description of Work: 1. install a new shower addition in the powder room 2. replace microwave with range hood, install new duct, follow fire safety rules 3. I contacted the provider for an estimate on a new porch roof or possibly an entire room enclosure. I left a message with their service but I have not received any acknowledgement of my request. I presume the contractor to be either too busy to perform services for me or not interested. In any event, the professional approach would be a return call to let me know. I did not select "I would not use provider in the future" because I do not know if there were extenuating circumstances that prevented a return call. Hence, I hold that option open.

Response from Klipa Contracting Company
Klipa Contracting Co. (KCC) works diligently to make its paying customers and potential clients satisfied. The caller leaving this grade unfortunately called during our vacation. KCC is a small family owned and operated business. Justin (owner) works on site daily overseeing every aspect of his clients project to ensure quality craftsmanship is delivered. Justin is also father of two young children so in addition to his family responsibilities, his daytime work responsibilities his job also requires long hours per night which are used to correspond with existing clients, suppliers, and meeting new customers. Since such care is given to each person's project and with the high volume of requests received due to the quality construction KCC is known for, it often takes KCC a week to ten days to return inquires and thoroughly address each family's requests and questions. Having great pride in our commitment to creating lasting client relationships it is disappointing that a person who has had no true interaction with our company can leave us a failing grade. Those have worked with us are extremely happy they did! We regret you called during our vacation week and we were unable to speak with you. Best of luck on your project we hope you locate a contractor that takes as good care of their customers as we do.

This was a top-notch experience with Klipa Contracting through and through, from the first phone call to the final wrap-up, exceeding our highest expectations. Our kitchen was much in need of renovation and remodeling, with our original ideas for the remodel including potentially removing one or two walls. We knew it would not be a super simple/straight-forward project, and wanted to find a contractor who had expertise in house construction, but would also have experience and know-how when it came to kitchen remodeling and design. From the first phone contact with Justin, the experience was unique and matched us well. He shared quite a bit about what they do and don't do and asked us many questions over the phone to see whether proceeding would be of mutual interest. Of all the contractors we talked to, Justin and his approach fit the best with what we were looking for. He was a younger guy (vs. others we had talked to), but confident and experienced in the internals of house construction, and with a sense of design and how things should look or flow or fit together. Because our project was not super straight-forward, they actually came in to do some preliminary gutting to make sure the scope of work that we would be agreeing to. We also had the additional challenge of being far into pregnancy and wanting/needing the project to be completed before the due date. The price quoted for the project we thought was very fair, esp. given the scope of work. Throughout the project, Justin kept in constant phone contact with us. He is very detail-oriented, which we are as well, so we appreciated that we felt things all along the way were being taken care of well, and in the right way, without shortcuts or bypassing our involvement or input. He also works well, not only with his own sub-contractors, but with other ones that we hired to do the flooring and HVAC re-routing. He not only does the work well, but manages the process and people very, very well. He and his crew and his subs did an amazing job, from the big, difficult mini-projects to the smallest details, including: 1) Removing exterior brick wall to enclosed porch and replacing with beams in a header, extending the kitchen 2) Removing interior load-bearing wall to the dining room and replacing with beam in a header, opening up the kitchen 3) Re-working the enclosed porch walls, ceiling, and floor to make it a seamless part of the new kitchen 4) New plastered walls everywhere, including making a seamless patch job along the wall where a closet was torn out in the DR to K transition 5) New wiring and lighting (overhead, recessed, and along header) throughout 6) Baseboard throughout the entire area along the walls and cabinets to give a nice, continuous look 7) Installation of cooker hood vent to pipe through the exterior wall to the outside 8) Installation of HVAC ducting/vents underneath the toe kicks of the kitchen island cabinet to vent in two directions (DR and K) The cabinet company/distributor they work with has very good quality product. The distributor wasn't the best in terms of communication, but product was really good, with a multitude of options and customizations. The counter top company they use has very nice laminate product, including the ability to have an "under-mount" sink, which is pretty unique. We also had a kitchen island with a top that ended in a radial/semi-circle, and it came out nicely. They did a great job with containing the mess and cleaning up at the end of every day. With one young child and a pregnant lady in the house, we appreciated that. Justin had asked us to separately arrange flooring and interior wall painting. HVAC we also decided to arrange separately. We did hit a snag mid-way in the process with the need to get building permits and two types of city inspection. Normal kitchen remodel does not require this, but our project did, and there was a short period where things were held up waiting for things to go through with the city and for an inspector to come out to our house. We are very happy not only with the final product but how things were handled throughout! And the project was completed right before the new baby was born, which was the goal all along :)

The build went great. They were very good to work with. They listened to everything that I wanted and accomadated all my minor changes that were made on the fly. They were very responsive in returning phone calls and keeping me up to date with where the project was at in the timeline of the build. I got the three bids on the project and they were the lowest bid out of the three, but there were NOT any shortcuts taken or minor details left unattended. I didn't sacrifice quality in any way from them being the low bid. They were more than fair in cost on any additions/upgrades, on my part, that came up throughout the project. I would highly recommend them to anyone for a project big or small.

The overall job was performed much to my liking. There was a sewer clog that gave him a bit of a problem. He addressed it with me and the solution was decided by both of us. Problem solved.
Description of Work: They tore out and old shower in my basement. Broke up the concrete floor and removed all debris. They installed new plastic sewer pipe for a new corner toilet and sink plus poured new cement. The walls and ceiling were studded in preparation for new green board and ceiling (12") towels. Water lines were run for the sink and toilet with shut off valves at the end of the lines. The green board was installed with screws. The walls joints and screw heads were all covered with 3 coats of mud, sanded in between coats, untill the craftsman were happy with the quality. The ceiling was installed and at the same time electricity was run for the exhaust fan and lights plus recepticles. All plumbing and electrics were hooked up meeting code requirements. The walls were painted and the tile floor installed. They managed to use left over tiles from when they did my kitchen saving me a couple hundred dollars. The floor finished they intalled the toilet and sink. A clog was found in my sewer. Once cleared, they tested them for proper operation and found them in perfect working order. They then cut, painted and installed all trim boards. The resulting job is excellent in design and function. Klipa did a fine job. I have used Klipa for many projects, furniture building, insulation, siding, kitchen floor etc. He is very punctual, polite and I feel I can trust him to provide a job that is with in budget and meets or exceeds the original scope of work. He explains options and problems and lets me be a part of the solution.

It went extremley well.
Description of Work: Justin and his people where excellent. I had received a quote from him back in April. Since I was in no hurry to have the work done he ask if I could wait a while because he had a number of job that he had to complete. He does not like to start a job and then stop and start another one. He likes to complete a job first and then move on. I found that very refreshing because a lot of contractors like to do multiple jobs and then spread themselves to thin. It took his crew 2 days to complete the job. When they were done everything was cleaned up. I did not find one nail in my yard.

We are extremely pleased with the results. It looks great. They have great ideas. Their experience gives them the ability to offer one ideas and options. Some examples of this are room layouts, wiring and lighting options. They are also willing to plan and leave options for future modifications (wiring conduits, gas/electric options). They are very prompt, curtious, and professional. This is our third project with them and we will definitely use them again.

Overall it was a great experience. Since this was our main bathroom, we knew we would be unable to shower in our home for a few days. They worked to their best ability to restore the shower as soon as possible. They were on time each morning and worked all day. Everyone was very respectful and considerate of our family. I felt their skills were very good. We had a few issues with fitting a store bought vanity top into a tight spot and they came up with an excellent idea of doing it well and for less money. When they installed the ceramic tile, they had their level out for each tile and made sure everyting was even and level.
Description of Work: We had some water damage to the floor of our main bathroom and had to make repairs. We were referred to Klipa Construction by our plumber. Justin came to our house, gave us an estimate and completed the work in a timely manner. For $5,500, Klipa Construction demo'd the room except for exterior walls, removed the old bathtub, tile, vanity and toilet. They replaced it with a fiberglass surround tub, shower, faucet and toilet after running new plumbing behind the walls. Included in this plumbing was a hook up for a double vanity where we previously had one. They also replaced the outlet next to the vanity to bring it "up to code". They installed a new ceiling light/fan and hooked it up to a double switch to accomodate the fan so we wouldn't have to run the fan everytime we needed the light. They also installed the new vanity, countertop and faucets that we had previously purchased. They also installed the ceramic tile that we had previously purchased. They replaced the drywall that had been torn out to run the plumbing and prepared the wall for painting. They did an excellent job each night of cleaning the room before they left. They ran drop cloths each morning and were very respectful of our home. They made it minimally invasive with their trips in and out of the house.
Klipa Custom Contracting did an excellent job. The bid was prompt and fair. The contractor detailed the work needed to be done and had some excellent suggestions for improvements to the original ceiling and lighting. (We replaced an Armstrong ceiling and florescent lighting in a family room with a plastered ceiling and recessed lighting that has greatly improved the look and value of our home.) Klipa Custom Contracting began the project and finished in a timely manner. While the project was a very large one involving two floors of living space, the contractor kept the disruption to living to the absolute minimum. All the workers were excellent craftsmen, most pleasant to be around, hardworking, trust worthy, and cleaned up each day. We could not have been more pleased. Friends and family are most impressed with the work, too. Klipa Custom Contracting has our highest recommendation for quality work and integrity.
Description of Work: We had severe damage to plaster on two floors of our home (ceilings and walls) due to damage from ice dams from the previous winter. Custom wood work surrounding our fireplace was also damaged. Because we were happy with previous work the company had done for (a new roof and a sunroom remodel) we asked for a bid on this project, too. The bid was reasonable and the service was most prompt. Carpentry work, ceiling construction, plaster removal, insulation work, wall boarding, plastering and electrical work were completed.

Klipa Contraction built our entire house. First, they put on a new roof, installed new windows, and framed the house. We were able to rebuild the house the way we wanted it. We knocked down a wall to open the space to make a great room with a cathedral ceiling. They made great suggestions about lighting, kitchen arrangement, and products. They worked with us to rearrange our floorplan, choose the windows, baseboard, doors, and siding. The work was done with care and we can not find one flaw in the house. They kept us within our price range and were very reasonable. The workers kept the house very neat and clean throughout the process and were very professional. We were able to really build the house of our dreams with Klipa Constracting and could not be happier about the final product!
Description of Work: Fire/Water Restoration, Total Rebuild, New Roof, siding, and gutters, Window Installation, Framing, Installed a drain system in the basement, Tile Floor, Kitchen install, bathroom install, etc.
. Justin and his crew were very professional and did an excellent job on the exterior home remodeling project. The improvements were suppose to take about 2 weeks but took a bit longer than expected due to the extreme rain experienced during the month of October. Justin was very cautious about exposing the unprotected surface of the home to the rain so the removal of the siding was done on non-rainy days. I was fine with that (and did not mind the delay) since I did not like the idea of the house being exposed to the rainy elements. In the meantime, Justin and his crew did continue to work on other details with the house. I was and still am impressed with his concern toward his clients and workmanship. There are many contractors out there that could have rushed through this in a few days but Justin is the type of person that wants it done right . The finished product was worth the wait! I have received many compliments on the house since its completion. Work was completed before the end of October. My husband and I have plans for indoor home improvements and plan on hiring Klipa Custom Contracting again for those improvements. Would highly recommend Justin to others.
Description of Work: Remove all old soffit, facia, and gutter to prepare for new installations. Replaced entire gutter system on the house while replacing the soffit and facia with Mastic (Alcoa) aluminum products. Back porch ceiling replacement. New siding applied to the home matching the existing coverage area using Mastic (Alcoa) Quest vinyl product. New porch roof installed over front entry. Installed railing system on porch. Molding and trim detail around front door. Trim accents around front windows. Installation of new trim pieces around light and outlets. Installation of new lights on front and back porches Painted porch stoop to match existing steps and brick.
We had a basic design that we wanted to execute. Justin helped us think through some challenges and advised us on a few things we should consider. He started the job in March and was hoping to be done by early April - it went a bit long, but that was more a function of our tile supplier than his ability to deliver on timing. Justin did all of the demo and was very careful in our house to insure there was minimal disruption. They had to tear out a very old tile floor and remove a cast iron tub we wanted to keep - no issues at all. After the demo they did the plumbing - no issues and they took care of all of the necessary inspection coordination. Drywall was then installed with no issues and then the tile floor. The floor was a bit more detailed than anticipated, but the "tile guy" did an terrific job and was incredibly dedicated - working at times well into the evening to keep things on track. The fixtures were installed and then they painted a base coat of primer (we painted the rest). All in all it is a massive upgrade and everything came in on budget.
Description of Work: Klippa helped us to completely remodel our daughter's bathroom. This involved new plumbing, electrical, drywall, installation of a tile floor and wall tile. The room was in dire need of an update across the board.

This was a huge job and took a few months to complete. The job was complicated by the extreme snowfall that occurred last February. The Klipa team persisted in spite of the weather and finished the job very quickly. My wife and I loved working with this contactor. We scoped out the job at the start and they provided creative alternatives that really improved the final product. All the carpenters and other workers were friendly, polite, and very professional throughout the job. The end product is outstanding. We now spend much of our time in the new living space and get many favorable comments from all visitors. We are anxious for winter to come so that we can use the new fireplace! The work that the Klipa team did on my bowed wall needs to be emphasized. After old paneling was removed, we found that two basement walls were bowed and ready to cave into the basement. The remedy was to jack up the house, tear down each wall, rebuild the block walls, and then lower the house back down on the new walls. This was very difficult and required much skill. The new walls had to be level to within a fraction of an inch over about 35 feet to properly support the house. This work was done expertly during the heavy February snow storms!! New French drains were installed on the outside of the new walls so that bowing never happens again. The work of the Klipa team to solve this problem was outstanding. We have not found a single defect in the work done by the Klipa team. Everything is first class and the end product is functional and expertly done in all respects. They are skilled carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and plasterers. After all the work was done, they did a thorough job cleaning all the debris from our property and making our new rooms s*** and span. I recommend this contractor highly and intend to hire Klipa again soon to remodel our kitchen.
Description of Work: Klipa Custom Contracting completely remodeled four rooms in our basement. The basement was refinished many years ago and the rooms were in drastic need of upgrading. During the work it was found that two outside walls supporting our house were severely bowed and needed to be replaced. The job involved construction of a large bedroom with ample closets, a new bathroom with shower, a laundry room, and a large combination gameroom/office area. In addition, new storage areas and a fireplace were built.
