Montco Rooter Plumbing & Drains

I called Montco Rooter and asked for Louis again as he’s helped us before. He installed a new sump pump for us in the basement on this occasion. As with previous visits, he was clear about the pricing breakdown at the outset and stuck to his estimate. He was professional the entire time, installed the pump, and tested its installation. He was also careful to keep distance, he wore a mask, and bags on his shoes. I will be calling Louis again for my next plumbing project.

It was a same day call & service which was really appreciated. The guy who answered the phone was great, however the guy who came to do the job was not very professional. Warned him we had put chemicals in the pipe earlier to see if that would unclog it before he started working. He opened the pipe in our garage ceiling without laying a drop and got the chemicals right on him and the floor (he did not have any eye protection). Other then that he was very friendly and did a good job with replacing and clearing the pipe. Also gave my husband some tips for future clogs. It was however pricey for 2 hours worth of work over $1,000.

The job went well. My only issue was with the pricing. Based on other quotes the price was out of proportion. But because I could get some one here promptly I felt compelled to simply pay what was asked.

I am very satisfied with the work performed. Bob S., an experienced technician, arrived on time with a well-equipped truck that had everything needed. He worked from the street in and from the house out to the street with augers and hoses to clear all lines, and tested the system for flow and water clarity. He took the time needed to do a thorough job.

Luis did a great job! It’s hard to find a company you can trust, that works with individuals with Special Needs. I am leery of such contractors, because of my medical journey. Mike and his crew put my mind at ease. During these very difficult times, it’s reassuring and less stressful.

They were the first to call and sent someone to my house right away. All I needed was an estimate on getting the clogged fixed, instead I got a sales pitch for a yearly service contract and then finally the estimate on the service which was extremely overpriced. After declining the estimate there were negotiations on price, a call to his manager, then more negotiations on price. It was worse than buying a car. I declined any service from them. I was able to fix the problem myself.

I had a very poor experience and was charged an exorbitant amount for the work done. I had a new sink partially installed, but the lines were leaking. I hired Montco Rooter to fix the leaks. I was charged $550 for the job and the lines were still leaking. I had to call and have them send out another plumber to redo the work. My sink is now leak-free, but I really feel like I was overcharged.

Everything went well, Mr Louis was on time, kind providing me with explanations along the way. He even cleaned-up afterward.

They price gouge and use a memebership fee to reduce price but to recover the reduce coast. For 45 minutes of work, $913 dollars. I was given two prices, one without a memebership and one if I purchased a 1 year $99 membership. Of course the one with the membership was cheaper. They charge based on what needs to be done and not by the hour. The plumber was very professional and did a great job. I did call the company to complain and they did remove the memebership fee and gave it to me for free. So my out of pocket cost was $800. Four times as much as it should have cost.
