Adam's Moving & Hauling

The guys from Adam's Moving & Hauling (Dar, Alex & Pedro) were awesome! They were on time; and the whole move took a little over 2 hours, including a stop at my storage unit to pick up some items there. They were friendly, polite, professional, and very fast. And the price was very reasonable. I would recommend Adam's Moving to anyone and everyone. Thanks for making my moving experience so pleasant and easy! You guys are THE BEST!!

Adam's quoted a fair price, they were reliable, easy to work with, they stuck to their original quote, and I would recommend them. We had to move some furniture and lots of boxes from a storage unit in the DC area to southern NJ. I spent a LOT of time researching moving companies on-line, looking for a company that was affordable AND honest/reliable. I used moving.com and some other sites to get quotes. I received about 30 responses from different companies. The average quote was about $1200. Some were completely outrageous ($4000!). Adam's came in at about $700 (including everything but an optional gratuity, and any packing supplies needed -- loading, unloading, gas, travel time, tolls, tax, insurance). Of the four companies that quoted a price that seemed reasonable, all had terrible reviews featuring nightmare scenarios. There were a couple of negative reviews for Adam's, too, but it seemed like they tried to resolve the issues in follow up responses. And the vast majority of reviews of their work was positive and seemed earnest. The office people that we dealt with at Adam's were always easy to reach, professional and clear. We had two guys for our move. They also were communicative via cell phone to keep us informed of when they would arrive and where they were on the road. They were both professional, courteous, careful, and hard working. I worked along with them, because we needed to get the move done as quickly as possible. The Adam's guys didn't take advantage of my help, and worked just as hard as I did. They were able to get the job done in one day, which saved us a lot of time and trouble. So much can go wrong with a move of any size. If you're reading this, then you're obviously doing some research. Take time and research your move, and you'll be very glad that you did!

The gentlemen called when they were on their way and arrived right on schedule. They did an amazing job of moving all items to the truck. They were friendly, professional and a pleasure to work with. They arrived at the new location and were the same there.

They were the worst moving company I have ever had the misfortune of using. When we called initially, we told them that we were moving from a house and a 1 bedroom apartment to a 2 bedroom apartment and we had china that and clothes that needed to be packed. From the moment they arrived, the foreman began complaining about how much work they had to do and how it would take a long time to complete. He also kept saying that we could hire him on the side to finich packing whatever they couldn't finish in 1 day. They also shattered an expensive glass table and woudn't have even bothered to clean up the mess it we hadn't told them to. We also had a ceramic piggy bank with over $200 in it and upon unpacking it, I notice that the cork closusure was removed and in 1 box and the piggy bank in another box and the money was nowhere to be found. I guess they're theives in addition to being lazy and incompetent. I will never recommend them to anybody and can't understand the good reviews. They were absoutely horrible and ended up costing me more than was quoted as I had to go out and buy a new dining room table.

They arrived on time and walked me through the packing of the truck. The whole move took about eight hours total. Very polite and friendly.

Arrived on time, surveyed what needed to be moved and explained how they work. I knew ahead of time that I needed large pieces of cardboard to pad mirrors and glass. This saved the purchase of boxes from them to use as cardboard. They padded everything thoroughly and efficiently. The person in charge was an ex-marine who ran the operation quite smoothly. There was a conflict that I should have had my washer disconnected by a plumber ahead of time, which I had specifically asked about on the phone. Secretary said I only needed to run spin cycle to empty water and they would take care of the disconnection. The person in charge agreed to disconnect the washer when the others said they weren't insured to do this. Thank goodness he did it for me - where do you get a plumber in an hour?! Anyway, nothing was broken, a few minor Knicks. They were respectful of the old and new house and covered the floors, railings, etc and left no dirt. There were 5 men and 1 1/2 truck loads. Took from 9-6. Would I hire them again - absolutely! These guys, though not big men, except one, were quite strong. Incidentally - we had some challenging pieces - large, heavy and antiques - they were super in moving them. I did move all my own china, glassware, fragiles, clothing and artwork, so I can't speak to their packing or moving any of the small breakables.

The guys got a later morrning start because they were at a move the previous day untill midnight but still finished by 6pm. They moved efficiently, quickly, and safely. I have never seen 4 guys work harder or better. My husband and I have some mobility issues and we could not have gotten this done without John, Chris, Brandon, and Carlos. I cannot say enough nice things about these guys. They were so effecient and pleasant even though they worked late the night before. I would use them again and highly recomend them!!!!

It went really well. But the only question I have is; what I searched was four hours of moving and it only took them two and a half hours. The guy told me that what I paid for was up to four hours so the time left was my lost. I didn?t argue with him because I figured it was a misunderstanding and I wanted to look into it and see if that was indeed the case. But as far as the job and the actual work that they did and how efficient they were, that was great. There were additional charges besides the big deal price. I had to pay the guy which I think was explained when I initially called and then I also had to pay for some packing materials which was fine. I think it was $499 for the four hours of work, then $19.57 for the materials and then I think another $10 or $12 for the tools. I paid him cash. The only reason that there were extra packing materials was because there were a few things that were packed and also there was something that I have them take that I did not pack but since we had the time and the room they did that.

Would have been an excellent rating if not for all the confusion surrounding the Angie's List coupon! There was a large amount of confusion with the back office around the coupon purchased through Angies List. The scheduler was not aware of the coupon, didn't have an accurate calendar, and subsequently booked me for an unavailable date at the wrong price. I had to re-schedule directly with the manager to avoid confusion. Mover's arrived within 15 minutes of the advised time, were quick but thorough. No issues.

The price included the truck and three men. They were on time and I had no damage. They were professional and organized.

The movers were later than I was told to anticipate them, though I did get a call informing me of that. They did not arrange for street parking for the truck nor tell me that I needed to do so (the last movers I used arranged it themselves), therefore someone had to stand outside by the truck the whole time to avoid getting a ticket. The move took quite a bit longer and cost a fair bit more than I anticipated. There were a few problems on my end with things not being ready, but it seemed quite a lot for a small apartment. The movers themselves were courteous and professional.

Very smooth move, the guys arrived on time, were pleasant and professional, and were very thorough wrapping the delicate items. The guys put in extra effort to meet the time frame and fit everything into the truck for one load which saved us money. Movers were very careful not to scratch/damage walls in old and new houses, no furniture was broken or damaged. I would definitely recommend Adams to others!

The initial phone call was great. They were very knowledgeable and up-front about everything and answered all of our questions. The cost estimate was very clear. The movers were 20 minutes early, which was greatly appreciates. They were professional, polite and efficient. There was minimal damage to our things and we saw them go to great lengths to protect our stuff. They navigated both apartment buildings' elevators and stairs fine and also took care not to damage our carpets. Communication was excellent also. They worked very fast but didn't rush. The costs ended up exactly in line with the estimates and payment was easy. Our move was billed hourly and because they moved so fast, the costs were way less than we had expected. I would use this company again without any reservations and I highly recommend them.

It went incredibly well. Tom was amazing, he packed that truck so well and the guys were such great workers. They only stopped to drink a few minutes here and there. Nothing got broken or lost. I could not have asked for a better moving company.

Those guys did a wonderful job! I have extremely heavy furniture which took them nearly 8 hrs to complete the move-out and move-in. They sent 3 persons first then the 4th came when they realized the tough job. Even the boss gave a hand. I would say if you really have good furniture, you have to ask a professional vendor like this to do the moving. My goods were packaged and protected well though a tiny friction on the bed corner. If you know how difficult it is to move my furniture, you would find it was nearly a perfect work they have done. I would give overall "A+" if there is such option!

It went awesome, including 1) Setting up our move 2) estimating the cost 3) being available on relatively short notice 4) Confirming the move a few days prior 5) Calling that morning with an updated arrival time and then the actual move. Jerry and his Team (3 Total) were amazing. They were very nice, kept both houses clean, moved at an awesome pace, and communicated along the way. The whole move was relatively painless; including negotiating two difficult driveways! I would definitely use again.

The movers were very professional, courtesy and friendly. Called to advise me that they were running alittle late due to traffic. There were a lot of events going on in Philadelphia that day. My furniture and other belongings were moved without any problems.Nothing damaged or broken. Cost was as quoted. If I were to move again I would definitely use this service provider.

The movers were very professional and arrived on time. They worked very quickly and were curteous. Scheduling the moving date and time through Adam's Moving was easy. I would highly recommend them for your move. I will certainly use them in my next move.

The three gentlemen where Tom, Mike and Eddie and they were very polite, helpful, courteous, careful, respectful of me and my property, hard workers. I can't say enough nice things about them. They worked hard and quickly to get the job done. I would use Adams Moving & Hauling again and request these three individuals.

Went very well. Jerry, Ryan and Pedro showed up on time after giving a courtesy call to say they were on their way. They surveyed the move, put down blankets to protect the floor and starting the job. They hustled and everything was packed, loaded and unloaded at the two addresses in 5 hours. My parents kept on saying how nice the guys were. There was also good communication up front in booking the move and confirming a few days prior. Jerry explained any extra charges for packing the glass to us so there were no surprises. My parents will use them again for the next stage of their move next month!

At first I was nervous, because they were supposed to arrive on Thursday. Eddy had told me that a previous move had gone way over time and unfortunately could not be helped. Settlement was Friday morning. Eddy said his crew would be there 5:30 or 6 AM. They arrived at 5:30 with 2 extra guys at no cost. Two hours later the truck was rolling out of the drive. Granted I had everything all packed up and ready to go, but it went well. That same evening 3 guys from the morning unloaded the truck with the same proficiency. Thanks to Brian, who ran point on both ends of the move as well as Carlos and Pedro. Thanks also to Jarell and Charles ( I think that was his name.) who were there in the morning. Everyone involved were friendly, helpful and professional. Despite the previous unease about hiring them, when they didn't show on Thursday, and the panic that was starting to settle in at not being able to make settlement on time, everything went very smoothly after that. I was relieved and happy, so, yes, I would hire them again.

They have been very easy to work with so far and the price has been fair.

Easy to schedule. Courteous, professional movers arrived on time. The three man crew worked very hard to successfully complete the move in the allotted time. No problems whatsoever.

Ryan, Ed and Jarell was the team that arrived. They provided a courtesy call and arrived ahead of schedule. They assessed what needed to be done, provided me with immediate answers to my inquiries and went to work once an agreement was signed. My timetable was beat by 2 hours due to all out hustle. I couldn't have asked for a smoother experience.
