Description of Work: Overall, Adams moving was good. A month ahead of our moving date we arranged for them to arrive at 1pm. They noted they don't often start that late but were fine with it as we only had a two bedroom apartment and our new home was only 15 minutes away. The day before they called and said they'd arrive between 11:30 and noon. We eventually settled on they could show up at noon (we had to rush through settlement and speed to meet them). |We were told that moving the contents of our two bedroom apartment to out new home would require purchasing a 4 hour block of time and would probably go over--we'd have to pay overtime for anything over 4 hours. By the time we'd packed all out boxes, I was nervous because we had A LOT. Still, everything was carried out of the apartment, in the truck, driven to and placed on our new home within 2 hours and 20 minutes!! So an hour and 40 minutes that we paid for went to waste. It was obvious that they were rushing to get done early on a Friday afternoon. On one hand it was nice that it went so quickly. On the other hand, some of our furniture suffered in the form of dents, scrapes, chips, and dings. One of our dressers has a large chip on the front top, center that can't be repaired. Wish we'd paid by the hour so they didn't know they were already paid and just rush to get done.

Description of Work: They took one hour off the top as travel time, so I only had 3 hours, not 4. Prior to my move, I called the office to find out the cost for hours over what was supposed to be 4, and was given the hourly rate. However, on the day of the move, they would not give me additional time, because they had to finish as job that was left over from the prior day. I was not satisfied because the coupon was not accurate and I was not able to get additional time, which resulted in me renting a UHAUL truck to finish my move.

Description of Work: They were great. I was a little nervous because I bought a deal for 3 people for 4 hours, but only 2 guys showed up- but they were so fantastic it didn't matter at all! They worked well as a team and got everything done quickly and efficiently (and carefully too- were very good about wrapping furniture and didn't bang things around). They were extremely professional and friendly as well. They called me on the way over to give me an ETA which was nice. I highly recommend this company.

Description of Work: The guys were on time. Big plus. They wrapped all my items up in my apartment and packed the truck in less than a hour. In total, complete job took about three hours. Good not be more please with the service I receive. Highly recommend and would use them again.

Description of Work: We used Adam's Moving to move our personal effects from an apartment to a house, with a stopover at a storage facility along the way. + -1 moreAfter reading the reviews we contacted Adams' moving. They were prompt and professional and were avaiable on the weekend we wanted to move. They do not accept Angie's List coupon if you are moving over the weekend. We were promised 3 guys and approximate 4hours for the move and when they arrived, they were 4. I was informed by Jerry that there will be no extra charge for 4th member of the moving team. Jerry was very professional and did a great job. All move was completed in 3 hours. There was no damage. I am very pleased with Jerry and his team and would recommend to any one planning to move.

+ -1 moreAdam's 3 guys showed up, on time, and got right to work. The work tirelessly, disassembling and securing my big furniture, and safely packing my stuff in their truck. They were polite, professional, and handled all of my belongings with care. They got everything into my new apartment, working with me to make sure the boxes I had them moved got put into the right rooms in my new place. The reassembled the furniture and were on their way in a little more than 4 hours from the time they first showed up at my door in S. Philly. Nothing was broken or damaged and the guy managing the move was knowledgable and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend these guys and I can't imagine what added benifit there could be for hiring a more expensive moving company!

+ -1 moreIt was a great moving experience... which can go either way. They movers were extremely nice and fast movers who took great care of my stuff. The truck fit all my stuff. The move took less time than quoted so it cost less than what I was quotes, even with the extra cost of tape and mattress cover. The move was from a 3rd floor walk up apartment to a house, with a 40 minute drive and they finished in 2.5 hours. It was great and I am already telling people about them! If I ever move again, I will use Adam's Moving and Hauling again!
Description of Work: Responsive with moving quotes and set-up date. Right on time, and wrapped and taped up everything, plus took apart and put together furniture. The had moving blankets, tape (for $3 a roll) and mattress covers($14). A huge truck, and two very nice, respectful and professional movers.

+ -1 moreThey arrived on time at 9:00 a .m. Worked very hard during the move and did not take any breaks even though I offered them food. They only recommendation that I have is that they did not have any tools of their own and I had to dig out mine out of a packaged box. Other than that, everything went very well and the men were courteous and professional at all time. The price was the cheapest of any mover that I have ever had (and I have moved alot).
