This guy never completed his intended job. Even after I called him to finish it up. He was prompt for the initial discussion and estimate, pleasant, and seemed knowlegable, but his lack of followup was completely unprofessional. I would not be fooled if you meet him by his nice demeanor. He did a very poor job.

The gutter diverter they installed was too small for the job and I had to call them back to fix it. The salesman did try to explain why they did the gutters the way they did, but I still had to pay for the repair. The installation itself was competent, but they put the wrong part in and there was a break-down in communication.

The owner, who has three three-man crews, decided to do the job himself, with the help of his personable 20-year old son, since he thought that blowing the insulation in might dislodge what was already there. They were quiet, courteous, and efficient.

We had a pervasive leak in my basement and had several contractors come out to help us understand what the problem was. Mr. Cook was the third person to suggest that it may be a problem with my gutters, so I accepted his suggestion to change out the gutter guards, which we knew weren't functional and to sweep the debris from the valley of the roof. He made a specific point to take me outside and across the street to see exactly what he was talking about. The initial consultation went great, but the problems began when they came to complete the work. First of all, the workers did not let me know they were on property by ringing my bell (even though there was a car in the driveway). I called the owner to complain and he was apologetic. Since I did not watch them, I have to assume that they did replace the gutter guards. About 20 minutes after they left, I went out to see if they had swept the roof valleys and they had not. I called and spoke to his very rude secretary who tried to convince me that the debris had just fallen. She told me that someone would get back to me, but instead I got a bill in the mail the next day indicating that the job was complete. In order to avoid talking to his secretary again, I wrote a letter letting the owner know what happened and that we would be happy to pay him once the job was complete to my satisfaction. The owner and I played telephone tag for a number of days, but once reaching my husband treated him as if he had no say so in the matter and insisted on discussing this only with me. Once the owner and I did connect, he offered to come take a look personally to see if the roof valley had been swept (duh). He came several days later and left his business card. When I called him to find out the verdict, his rude secretary told me that the guys would be out to sweep the roof valley within a week. The worst thing in all of this however is that our basement continued to leak until we had another procedure done at half the price and was completed in a day.

The work went well. They minimized destruction required to gain access to areas that were insulated. This was important as walls and ceilings were original lathe-board and plaster (not drywall/wallboard). They coordinated well with our carpenter to get work done in timely manner. We were very satisfied with their work. The staff at the office were friendly and helpful in scheduling and explaining the project. We had significant concerns about the destruction required but they were helpful in minimizing this and in explaining to us what would be required (they cut a hole in the ceiling underneath the peak of the roof and one of their employees crawled up into that space to blow insulation down each side of the roof between rafters).

THE CREW WAS GREAT, VERY CAREFUL AND THOROUGH. HAD A PROBLEM WITH A WATER LEAK RIGHT AFTER THEY FINISHED THE JOB AND THEY CAME BACK RIGHT AWAY TO MAKE SURE THAT NOTHING WAS RUINED, EVEN RE-DID PART OF THE WORK FOR NO CHARGE.
