After my second call, they finally called back a few days later. We scheduled a cleaning this thursday (10/6/11), but never showed up or even called. Obviously, they think their time is more important than mine. That's no way to do business!

Kevin from BJ Meier came out and inspected our chimney at no charge. He was totally honest and said that the chimney was fine and he could not see anything wrong with it. Although we had to wait two weeks for an appointment, it was worth it since honest chimney sweep and repair companies are a rare find. I would recommend that all Angie List members call them if they need a chimney sweep or repairs.

We were extremely satisfied with the service. The work was prompt and efficient. Care was taken to protect carpets and furniture during the duct cleaning. The chimney cap is sturdy and strong, withstanding recent high winds and storms. We would wholeheartedly recommend this vendor to anyone needing duct cleaning services or chimney repairs.

Very happy with their work and performance. David and his partner gave me an estimate and scheduled the work very quickly. Amazingly enough, they told me that only 5 of the 7 fireplaces needed to be cleaned. They discovered a problem with the dryer vent and scheduled a repair very quickly thereafter once they got the spare part they needed. True to their quote, no hidden or additional costs. All was done professionally, neatly, without any delay or aggravation. A smooth collaboration that I would recommend very highly without any reserve. He explained to me why the dryer wasn't working. He showed me how to fix it. Went ahead and cleaned the duct out, and told me about how it was a high priority for fire. The price was very reasonable. He was very knowledgable, informative, and helpful. He is an overall a very nice guy.

They arrived on time, in fact about 15 minutes early, looked briefly at the furnace and ducts, and got right to work. The man in charge, David, said there wasn't a lot of junk in the ducts except for pet dander, which was good to know, since neither my husband nor I had actually experienced any allergic symptoms; we had only been told by guests that there was a problem. They also treated a problem with mold in the garage and pointed out some mold and water damage on the garage ceiling, which would need some repair. They finished early, which they attributed to having two men on the job instead of the usual one, and the bill was exactly as estimated. No problems, no surprises. If all my home repairs were this hassle-free, I'd be a happy camper.

The service was outstanding from start to finish. Service was very prompt. Mr Meier was professional and knowledgeable. It is clear that he stays up to date on the latest technology. Everything was cleaned up perfectly. Mr. Meier also takes the time to explain things and educate you.

Mr. Meier was able to schedule a visit within two days of my service call. He showed up within five minutes of the appointed time, and explained in detail what he would be doing before starting the work. Access to the external dryer vent required crawling under a rear deck with limited space on a cold day in February...none of which seemed to faze him. The lint extraction, which he completed in just fifteen minutes, was followed by a careful clean-up of the site. I feel the bill was more than fair considering the conditions under which he had to work. Mr. Meier recommended a follow-up inspection in 24 months(which agrees with the advice given by most insurance companies and fire marshalls)and said he would send a post card reminder at the appropriate time, which I also found helpful. I would certainly recommend him to my friends and neighbors.

We had a very positive experience. The initial phone contact was quick and we were scheduled right away. The serviceman was on time (a little early). He was polite, professional and very knowledgeable. It was clear he took his work seriously and planned to do a quality job. The equipment used was impressive. We were pleased with the work. The only drawback is that the price seemed a bit high but I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. We will use them again.

Excellent. He arrived on time to evaluate the problem, then scheduled an appointment a few days later to do the work and again arrived promptly. He explained exactly what needed to be done, gave me an estimate and then performed the work efficiently and quickly. He made a point to lay down drop cloths and keep my house clean while he worked. I would highly recommend him.

Dryer vent completely blocked and the dryer kept spinning. He came out on time, cleaned out the vent, and cleaned up afterward. The cost was the same as was quoted over the phone.

I made an appointment to have my ducts cleaned. He arrived on time and opened up my air conditioning vents and checked the air returns, and informed me that since there was no dirt buildup, I would not benefit from the cleaning. He said he could do the cleaning anyway if we wanted, but that we would not really see much benefit from it. He showed me where he was looking so that I could see for myself that it was clean, and helped me try to identify the source of the high humidity in my home. The estimate for the work (whole house) was only $350.

They came out right away to give me an estimate. They were very professional the whole way through.

This company did a good job for us. They were so thorough. The man even showed me the before and after and explained the whole process to me. He was tidy, polite, and clean. I was also happy that he was very careful with my hardwood floor. They were responsive and they call me back almost immediately every time I've had to call.

First, their customer service from beginning to end was top notch. What impressed me the most was that Dave was early for our scheduled appointment. He did an awesome job cleaning out the dryer vent, as well as shop vacuuming the inside of the dryer itself. He even took the time to fix the vent duct coming out of the back of the dryer, so it's no longer constricted and air can flow freely. He and his son did a great job cleaning up too! Dave was extremely courteous and took the time to answer all my questions about dryer safety! The job was completely done within a 1/2 hour!

Mr. Meijer cleaned all our heating and air conditioning duct work. He also made suggestions on cleaning our filters and correcting some heating issues. He arrived promptly and finished as scheduled.
