+ -1 moreFabulous! I called on a Friday at 4:55pm, got a call back that night and had the problem resolved in less than a week -- and that's because of MY crazy schedule! PTC would have been at my place within 24 hours had my schedule allowed. Pat came out and assessed the problem, explained it all to me, showed me what he was spraying and then completed the job in less than 45 minutes. Couldn't be more pleased with the service I got!
Description of Work: Sprayed for mud daubers, paper wasps and carpenter bees.

+ -1 moreExcellent, PTC responded very quickly every occasion and they're great arranging for a visit. I do love this flexibility since my husband and I work full time. They did an excellent job getting rid of spiders and of a bad flea infestation. They also advised us to use products we can get in the supermarket instead of paying for a "professional" spray for an ant nest we found recently. I do appreciate their honesty!
Description of Work: Last November our cats brought home a clan of fleas! We had never seen an infestation like that. We called PTC, and Pat Capasso was our home the next day! We have small children and are always concerned about the use of pesticides of any class, but the situation was desperate. We met PTC in 2004 with a spider problem and were very happy at the time on how consciously Pat used the products, so we called him right away last year. Again, only he used what was necessary and in this case, a 2nd application was necessary. The total cost was $180. Fleas are gone for good and we're following his recommendations to never have them back! This weekend we found an ant nest and were very afraid they were carpenter ants. We left a message on Sunday and Monday 7:30 we got a call from PTC. Pat was at home at 3:30 pm for checking the ants. He happily confirmed they're not carpenter ants and suggested an "over the counter" treatment. If this does not work (2-3 days) he'll be back. I love his honesty!

+ -1 moreI had a problem with mice and I could hear them in the wall. I saw one in my kitchen and it was huge. I was terrified and called various companies but no one could come immediately. I found PTC on the Angie's list, called and the owner came the same evening. He promised I would never see another mouse and he was correct. My home has been pest-free since that evening. Remarkable! I sleep well at night and those pesky home destroyers are gone. Well Done PTC. Thank you so much! CF, Elkins Park PA.
Description of Work: Pest control was administered to the places in and outside my home to get rid of the mice. Owner of the company performed the service. He was thorough and gave me useful information as to how to keep the pests away.

Description of Work: I called twice to get an evaluation for a large on going Carpenter Bee infestation on a 3 story Victorian home. I asked if they could stop by and see the problem and define how to proceed, as I had read various info on the internet and was not sure about the application of the poison and the timing of the subsequent work of plugging the bee holes and then painting. I was told he would stop by last week. We waited all week but it did not happen, so I called this morning and heard him yelling at his dispatcher about me. Although the dispatcher tried to get me in touch with the exterminator, he certainly did not seem interested in what for us is a very disturbing and destructive on going invasion. If he doesn't care to stop by and go over the job with me, I am not on my life going to hire him over the phone after what I heard. Taking my bees elsewhere!

+ -1 moreCalled PTC because we suspected carpenter ants in our garage, termites in our basement and something in our bathroom. Pat was right on time, did a comprehensive inspection of the areas of concern. He explained everything he was doing as he went. Thankfully, we didn't have any pests. I insisted on paying for the inspection, but Pat wouldn't take any money. I couldn't recommend PTC enough, very honest and extremely competent. My parents have been using PTC for years, and now I will as well. It's great to have an excellent contractor to call on when you need one!
Description of Work: Carpenter ant, termite and unknown inspection and possible extermination.

+ -1 moreTo top everything off, he did not charge us anything for the first visit as a gift he said, for our newborn son. I cannot say how much we appreciate his kindness.
Description of Work: The owner came out and gave us an estimate of the initial application for our carpenter ant problem and quarterly followups. He came back out two weeks later and performed the job on both the inside and outside of the house. He was on time and very nice to my wife.

+ -1 moreI am very pleased with PTC Pest Control. The owner is very professional and knowledgeable. The owner came out twice during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend on very short notice. The owner was on time for each appointment. I am happy I did not have to take time off work to sit and wait for service personnel to arrive. Mr. Capasso performs very thorough inspections and I am confident in the results (no termite infestation).

+ -1 moreTime will tell if treatment is successful. I predict it will be. The owner came out on the Sunday of labor day weekend - holiday! Not only that, but he and his wife did the work. Also later as I was having siding installed the contractor uncovered ant infestation not apparent before. Upon calling Mr. Campasso, he came out immediately and treated the area.

+ -1 moreOwner, Pat Capasso Sr., was knowledgeable and personable. He arrived promptly at the scheduled time to inspect and perform minor treatment for the carpenter ant infestation. When more ants were seen about a week later, he returned to treat a different area of the house at no additional cost. At the time of his first visits, the weather was still cold, and he provided us with an estimate for a full treatment to be performed when the weather became warmer. This is to ensure that the ants are fully active and susceptible to the treatment. We plan to schedule a full treatment soon and will report on its effectiveness.
Description of Work: Inspected property for carpenter ants. Performed minor treatment (bathroom area) and provided estimate for full treatment to be performed at appropriate time (warmer weather). When ant activity was then seen in kitchen, they returned at no cost to perform minor treatment to contain ants there.

Description of Work: AFTER FINDING TERMITES IN A TREE, I CALLED TO HAVE MY HOME INSPECTED. TECH FOUND CARPENTER ANTS IN THREE TREES AS WELL AS THE TERMITES. HE FOUND NO SIGNS OF ANY TERMITES OR ANTS IN THE HOUSE. HE RECOMMENDED GETTING AN ARBORIST AND SAID IT WOULD BE A WASTE OF MONEY TO HAVE HIM TREAT FOR BUGS ALSO. HE RECOMMENDED GETTING AN INSPECTION YEARLY TO MAKE SURE THEY HADNT INVADED THE HOUSE.

+ -1 moreONLY TIME WILL TELL IF THIS VERY EXPENSIVE JOB WILL KILL THE CARPENTER BEES AND KEEP THEM AWAY. I WILL UPDATE IN THE FUTURE AFTER THE 30 DAY WARRANTY PERIOD GOES.
Description of Work: THE GUY CAME AND SAID HE WOULD SPRAY FOR CARPENTER BEES, BUT IT SEEMED LIKE THE PRICES WERE NEGOTIABLE. HE JUST ARBITRARILY PICKED THE $225.00 CHARGE FOR MY HOUSE, FOR SPRAYING UP NEAR THE SOFFITS AND FOR A BIT OF FOGGING UNDER THE DECK. DEFINITELY NOT AN HONEST BUSINESS. ALSO, THE TECHNICIAN WAS NOT WEARING ANY MASK OR ANY PROTECTIVE CLOTHING EVEN THOUGH HE WAS SPRAYING VERY TOXIC INSECTICIDES.

TWO OTHER COMPANY'S TURNED DOWN MY BUSINESS BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T WANT TO RISK BEING BLAMED FOR THE PREVIOUS COMPANY'S SHODDY WORK. PAT WAS HAPPY TO COME AND INSPECT THE PROPERTY. HE OFFERED TO SET ME UP WITH A SERVICE CONTRACT ONCE I MOVE IN AND GET SETTLED. HE WAS VERY THOROUGH AND EASY TO TALK TO.
Description of Work: INSPECTED THE HOME I JUST PURCHASED, FOR WOOD-EATING INSECTS, INSIDE AND OUT. EVEN INSPECTED BAIT TRAPS SET BY A PREVIOUS COMPANY. FOUND NO CURRENT TERMITES, BUT DID FIND DAMAGED JOISTS THAT NEEDED REPAIR.

WHEN THEY SPRAY FOR A PARTICULAR TYPE OF BUG, THE BUGS DISAPPEAR AND ARE GONE AT LEAST THROUGH THE PERIOD OF TIME THEY GUARANTEE. I BELIEVE THEY WILL COME BACK AND RE-SPRAY, IF THE PROBLEM OCCURS DURING THE GUARANTEE PERIOD.
