Never returned my call.

Michael bid the job on thrusday and completed the work (on a holiday weekend!) the following sunday. They arrived on time, quickly did a quality job and finished and cleaned up within hours. I immediately asked Michael for a bid on another job.

Mike and Mike Jr and crew actually came an hour early on day one and got right to work. I got an estimate last year and they agreed to work to the original estimate. The work was completed within two days and they actually did more than they said they would do (more areas had to be repaired than initially anticipated.) My husband and I are very pleased with both the work that they did, their professionalism and clean-up. Mike also advised us of a problem with our roof that we will have to take care of next. They did a great job and Mike is a very nice man. Highly recommended.

It was a very tricky job as I did not want to replace my porch. They were able to do the job successfully and the porch looks great. They have been in business for a long time and they know what they are doing. I would highly recommend them.

Mike and Mike did an excellent job. They are pleasant and professional, and, most importantly, did a beautiful job on my house. They removed broken and crumbling mortar along the roof line, replaced missing mortar at various places, repaired mortar around windows, and repaired a large step crack around a third-floor window. The new mortar matches the old, and they found and repaired damaged mortar in places I hadn't noticed--or couldn't see (like the back side of the chimney) and even fixed the crack in the front steps! I couldn't be happier with their work. They recommended waiting for the weather to warm, not wanting to have to compromise the mortar with some additive to handle freezing. They scheduled the work promptly as soon as the weather allowed.

Great! They came on Sunday so I didn't have to take day off work!!!

These guys are fantastic! They were very prompt about returning our initial phone call and preparing the estimate. They showed up on time every day. Our mortar was practically sand before they came, and now the whole house is sound. They did their best to not be too troublesome to our neighbors. They even scheduled the work to start when our closest neighbor would be on vacation, so they wouldn't disturb them with all the grinding and dust. They did an amazing job cleaning up too. When they left, you would have never known that our house and yard had been covered in dust for weeks. They even washed the windows! I can't say enough good things about these guys.

My initial call was returned promptly, and Mike and his son (also Mike) came by the next day after a very long day at work (I received a call explaining that they would be quite late because they were still on the job) to make an estimate. They managed to find bricks that were a good match for the somewhat unusual color of the bricks in my house, and the estimate came in about a week. When they came to do the work, they brought some extra bricks in case they discovered in the course of the work that more were needed than they had estimated. This indeed turned out to be the case, but there was no extra charge beyond the estimated price. The cleanup when they finished was meticulous.

Mike and his son Mike responded within a day to my request for an estimate. They kept their appointment and were punctual in arriving. After examining the job and promising to work up a quotation, they showed me many before-and-after photographs of similar jobs they had done. Both are students of the craft and have pride in what they have been able to accomplish for their clients. I had a quotation in hand within a few days and accepted it, though it seemed at first to be a little high. It wasn't until I watched crews of three men, on two consecutive days, working in the heat of early September, that I recognized how fair the quotation was. They pressure-washed the brick several times to remove decade-old climbing ivy, paint splatters, and dirt. The frame portion of the house wasn't harmed in the least and actually was cleaner and brighter when the job was done. This was because the guys are as careful as any I have seen in protecting the surrounding area against damage and in cleaning up when finished.

They were very responsive in coming to the house to give us an appraisal. Gave us references and examples of their work in our neighborhood. Showed up when they told us they were going to. They started early and worked late with few breaks. We were truly impressed. They left the premises spotless. The work was excellent. We would highly recommend them.

As the work started, it became clear that the paint removal would be a harder job than expected. Yet through it all Mike worked with confidence and a permanently positive attitude. The result was better than we expected. Mike's attitude seems to be that no matter what obstacles might arise, he is going to do the best job possible for his client. He really takes pride in the quality of his work. I have never known a more conscientious worker, nor one more pleasant to work with. We feel we got more than we paid for. I strongly recommend Mike Chismar for a POH award (or whatever it is called).

Michael was prompt in examining the site and providing an estimate. His estimate was significantly lower than others, I received. When the old mortar started to crumble, after a heavy storm, Michael arranged his schedule to get our job done, within a week. Everything was done quickly and neatly. He even fixed some areas that were not covered by the estimate, for no additional charge. I intend to hire him, for additional jobs.

They did a wonderful job. You can hardly tell that any damage was done. In addition, I asked them to look at another problem. They pulled their ladder back down off the truck and gave me free advice.

Chismar is probably the only person in Pittsburgh capable of doing this job. A large scafold had to be built to get that high. Other people simply turned down the job. I had to wait a few months until he was able to do the job, but he did it when he said he would and the price was very reasonable for the scope of work.

HE'S EASY TO DEAL WITH. VERY WORK CONSCIENCE. NEVER LOAFED ON THE JOB. GREAT CLEAN UP.
