Our local Nucleus office has been in the Philadelphia area for several years. Fred Jackson is the Area Director responsible for this location. Our technicians average close to 10 years experience in the IT industry and are well versed in a variety of areas, like hardware and software repair, networking and data backup solutions. To date, we have proudly serviced hundreds of clients in the Philadelphia Area.

Description of Work: Fred had worked on our computers before and I was happy with the results. |Now I broke the screen on my laptop and called him. When I called his cellphone because I'd forgotten the name change he said it would cost $200 to $250 and I should call the office number to set up an appointment. I called them twice and left messages with two different women but never got a call back. |Am now waiting for another repair man to get back to me. His price is about $60 for the screen and $35 for labor! I'll keep you posted!

This review does not reflect the high quality service we provide. Please look at all of the A reviews above and below this one. This client was given the owner's business card and told to call him if she ever has any questions. She was told to call another number on the card just to schedule appointments. We have no record of her calls or having left a message. We are it sure why she did not call the owner. If she had, we would have followed up quickly. The lower quote she got is probably for a low quality replacement screen without a warranty. We like to provide high quality hardware with warranties.

Description of Work: Quick response - 2 nice and polite gentlemen - but not really prepared as they didn't know how to get into my HP Laptop and spent a lot of time just on that - then ended up breaking/small chips the brackets that held the top on - couldn't really fix the problem but did try very hard and finally admitted that it was a difficult project and to go further would be very costly - the one gentlemen did spend a LOT of time on it (even took it back with him) and still only charged the original $99 - but after paying that, in the end, I was back where I started!

Thank you for your input. We will take your comments into account when trying to improve our services and processes. Please note that we had to take this client's HP laptop completely apart to see what was the issue. This client's laptop was displaying a white screen many times and you could not see anything. If you know HP laptops, you cannot take them apart in a matter of minutes. You have to remove many screws on the bottom and in the case, remove the keyboard, hard drive, memory, wireless card and other items before you can get at the base. The base of this laptop was broken where the hinges of the LCD screen are. Some of the plastic where the hinges attached had been broken completely off. This could happen because of wear and tear or forcing the laptop lid open or close. We communicated to her that the base had been broken. We discussed replacing the base and she decided not to, because of the cost and time. We spent about 5 hours examining and working on this the laptop for this client. We got the laptop working again and displaying properly. We clearly communicated to her that she had to be very delicate with the lid and hinges. The client seemed satisfied with this, since the laptop was not even displaying when we got there and we only charged a minimal amount based on the extensive work we did.

I've heard nothing but the best
Description of Work: I know Fred Jackson and his company Fast-Teks very well. We are in a small business owners group together and I have recommend him to all of my friends and family and have received nothing but rave reviews in return. Im lucky enough not to have any personal computer problems myself but I know that Fred would do nothing but the best work. I've heard so many good things about this guy its unreal.

I was having all sorts of problems with computer and not sure whether or not to replace it. I called Fast-teks to evaluate it and as the appointment progressed Fast-teks was able to correct all of the problems and improve the operation of the computer. As a final result, I didn't have to replace the computer.
Description of Work: This appointment involved a computer cleanup and troubleshoot. Also, a printer and some software was installed. Computer was running slowly and had several issues. These were cleared up with this appointment.

It was excellent. We were very pleased.
Description of Work: We have used this company various times over 3 years. The first time our computer had totally crashed. Fast-teks came the same day and was able to get my important information off of the computer and reinstall everything very quickly. They made a stressful time a lot more manageable. They are reliable, come quickly and affordable. I have recommended them to friends and family.

Fred's company did a wonderful job troubleshooting my computer. They were punctual, professional and resolved the issue in a timely manner. Also, they have provided some IT valuable consultation to me, which not only has improved the functioning of my systems, but also increased my business's productivity.Both Fred and his tech (i can't remember his name) were dressed business like and very professional.
Description of Work: We were having computer issues, and called Fred. Him and one other tech came to the house. both went through the computer with speed and precision. Set up a couple of programs and let them run while looking over other aspects. I was amazed at what they found and corrected. everything runs smoothly now.

Fast-teks came and offered several cost effective backup options available to us. They purchased the equipment and were able to install it in a timely fashion. Fast-teks showed up ontime and didn't waste any time getting our system upgraded. Now we have all of our information backed up automatically.
