It was horrible. We had a crew of movers lined up in DC and a crew of movers lined up in Pittsburgh to move us, along with a place to spend the night during the move. Right as we were leaving Pittsburgh to drive to DC to pick up the truck and our belongings, UHAUL contacted us and said that they did not have a truck available. Despite our confirmed reservation, two crews of movers lined up, and hotel arrangements, they would not solve the problem. When we called to try to fix the problem, they said that a supervisor would call back. No supervisor called us. We called UHAUL again, and then the woman we talked with refused to have a supervisor talk to us as she said that their supervisor was too busy. The woman on the phone kept repeating canned lines about how they don't really guarantee their reservations and they did not have any trucks available. Then, when we wanted to lodge a complaint, she said that she could not find the complaint paperwork and advised us to complain on the website. However, the website does not have a complaint form. I am really shocked that a company like UHAUL can stay in business when they do not honor their reservations, do not try to fix the problem when they make a mistake, and won't allow you to speak to a supervisor to address a problem.

Great experience! Truck was ready on time. We were given extra time at no cost. Counter reps and technicians were very friendly and efficient. Would definitely use the service again and would recommend to others.

They wanted us to change the location where to pick up the truck, but we called them and it was corrected. So, finally it was okay. We will use them again.

I received a quote I thought was VERY high, only to discover that installing a hitch on this particular vehicle is extreemly involved. The installation was scheduled allowing for 6 hours to complete the job. I reviewed the installation with the Manager [Kevin] several times & was assured by him that, not only had they done many of these installs [on X-3s], but that he himself would be doing the installation. When I returned to pick up the car [never received a call that it was finished] everything looked fine. I did find out accidentally that the Manager did not install the hitch. The following day I went to connect my bike rack to the hitch, only to find that it was physically impossible to insert the locking pin through the hitch. When I called the Manager I was told he was sorry but the hitch was installed according to factory specs! Factory specs not withstanding...ANYONE with half a brain, an an ounce of experience, could see that this installation was never going to work. I have scheduled a time for them to attempt to correct the problem...One that never should have happened in the first place! Hopefully it will be resolved to our mutual satisfaction. I would definately NOT recommend this U-Haul location.

Never rent from the internet!! Always call your local store!! The site never contacted us on where to pick up the truck, we went on a search and find mission that lead us to a seedy neighborhood in north Philly. Which by the way was 35 miles from my apartment. When we got there the truck we ordered wasn't even available. They upgraded us to the 24 foot truck, and didn't give us the moving pads that we paid for. So, I had to drive a huge truck 35 miles back to my house. While driving across the state to Pittsburgh we had to stop and fill the unleaded gas only tank up twice at a cost of $65 each time.
