Overall, the service was good with an exception. We were told beforehand that the cost of the failed repair would be subtracted from the cost of the new opener. When the new opener was installed, Thomas Giel refused to deduct the cost of the failed repair.

I recently bought a new house and had only one transmitter for the car, the key pad didnt work and I had no key to open the main garage door in the event the power goes out. (The garage has no walk-in door) When I called the company I was told the techs make their own schedules and that someone would call me within a day or two to make an appointment. I received a call as promised. We made an appointment for within a week. He arrived on time, and fixed all of the above quickly and for a reasonable price. I've used this company to replace garage doors and openers in the past and will use them again if the need should arise.

They were prompt and they solved the problem. The price was reasonable. I would use them again in the future if necessary.

My call was returned the next morning and a time was set up to come to the house. The technician arrived on-time, was very polite and informative and quickly repaired my garage door opener. I would use them again when needed.

I didn’t have any dislikes about them, but I liked them. They were very professional. I am very strict when it comes to things, and I like to see things done right. When they were complete, there was nothing I could have done better. I am very pleased with them.

I called in one afternoon to request service on the door. I was told that I would be called within the next two days by the techician who made service calls in my part of town. The technician calleby early the next morning and set up a window of time within which he expected to arrive (late morning the same day). He arrived day within the scheduled block of time, having called first to let me know he was on his way. Upon arrival the technician reviewed with me the work to be performed and worked completed the work in under an hour. His manner was professional.

It went well, although they did not reprogram the key pad outside of the garage. They left the instruction manual for us to do it ourselves. Everything else was seamless - the work was done quickly and they cleaned everything up after they were finished.

I thought the experience was very good from the promptness of the return call, the call by the technician and the accurate arrival time. Being the first stop in the morning helps in the accuracy of arrival

Went very well. The initial estimate was performed about a week and a half before the installation; the salesperson was knowledgable and was able to answer all my questions. The prices he quoted were very reasonable, compared favorably to other quotes we received. The installers arrived on time, worked steadily and completed the work by afternoon. They did an excellent job of installation, cleaned up the area before they left, and gave us explicit information about care and maintenance of the doors. I am very pleased with the quality of the materials and the work, and with the overall attitude of this company toward customers. I highly recommend them. We intend to contact them about installing storm/screen doors as well.

Both of my old openers had stopped working and needed replaced. I had bought 2 openers at Lowe's thinking I might try to install them myself. But then after reading that it takes 2 professionals several hours to install garage door openers I decided to just call the pros. I figured I might as well completely replace the doors and get new insulated doors at the same time. The sales rep was very nice and explained everything well. He also pointed out how terribly the old stuff was installed; it was clearly an amateur job with incorrectly-installed parts all over the place! It took about 1 week from his visit to installation, everything was done very well and I am 100% pleased. My garage looks like a whole different place, the openers are much quieter, I now have useful motion safety sensors, and the exterior looks great and matches my home's siding. Only downside is that my garage doors are at the rear of my house, so I can't show it off to anyone! :)

We needed the contortion mechanism replaced in our Wayne Dalton garage door. The service was performed the day after I called, per my request. He arrived and promptly diagnosed the problem and replaced the mechanism within an hour. The price was less than another quote I received over the phone. I was happy with my service and will use them again.

They know their stuff and they did it. They solved my problem. They were confident people. They did the work well. I would have remembered if their price was out of range, but probably their price was reasonable. I would consider using them in future.

Called them late Friday morning after a spring broke on one of my garage doors. They told me that they probably would not be able to come on Friday but could be there on Monday. They called Monday morning and told me they would be there within an hour and they were. The repairman suggested that I replace both springs on the door and that he would check all the pulleys and safety cables to make sure they were in good shape. He did and replaced only what was necessary. He finished the job in less than an hour.

We wanted to have a garage door opener installed since purchasing our house in October 2004. As far as we know it had never had a garage door opener since being buit in 1959. We had two other companies come and said they could not do it and a friend who is a contractor say if it could be done it would be very expensive since they were some complications. John from Thomas V Giel came and said they could do it and gave me a very good estimate even with the extra work that had to be done.Even one who I spoke with in the company was very professional. The installation guys were great. We are extremely happy and would recomend them to anyone.

Everything was fantastic from the estimation process to the installation. Estimator explained options and how the job would be done. Installers arrived on time and left within their install window.

My experience went great. I needed an emergency repair. The spring broke and the door would not open. Giel came over promptly and repaired the door very professional and at a reasonable price. It was a more complex job than a normal broken spring He left the place clean and left me a bill. Everything was handled the way you would expect it to be handled. He was very professional and efficient. He did good, quality work.

Technician arrived at specified time, he was courteous and performed all work in a neat professional manner.

Installation went well. T. Giel has had to come out twice to fix wiring for (1) inside garage door opener. First time wire was pinched and opener stopped working. Second time same opener wouldn't work. T. Giel came out second time and ran new wiring and both openers have been working fine since. Both times company was very responsive and came out to fix it the next day or two.

The installation was fine and they were good about scheduling. The doors work fine. There were problems with the finishing touches. There is a mold that goes around the door and it?s like a little flap that adds like an extra seal. It?s on all three sides of the door. They said that the door they had was the best. It took forever for them to get that installed properly. They brought it in but it was the wrong one. Then they brought it in about a couple of weeks later. So we had to work with them in order to get proper scheduling done. Then they installed it wrongly since the edging wasn?t done right. So they had to come back and we had to wait for them. It was very quick and very well done but there were some minor problems. They finished the job in five weeks after they started it. The price wasn?t too bad. The springs are not exposed and it also makes it more balanced. We had to offset one door. Everybody has garage doors but for me the baseline is that the doors should work properly after installing. We can use their services again but we have to keep the time available for them to come. I would recommend them to others.
