If Cathy and I could give Bob and his workers and finishers 10 stars here on Home Advisor, we would surely do it!! Bob and his crew consistently show up early and on time. Our project was a complicated one that was very large (over 4000 square feet) including a stamped patio and had multiple slopes to deal with water drainage. I really don't think that anybody else could have done it. There were other multiple situations to deal with including underground wires, and wider than normal (14 feet) concrete pours. The entire crew was courteous, respectful, and professional and worked very well together. The entire project turned out beautiful. When you talk to Bob, you'll find that he is very passionate about doing a first class job, and cares about the quality of every aspect of your project. Make sure that you ask him about the materials he uses and especially his concrete supplier. I got a whole lot of info on other concrete suppliers and the chemistry involved. It was very important to me that my driveway would hold up for many years.

The crew did an exceptional job. The got along well and described everything they would do and why. They never complained and even told me about problems with the pipes leading to and from my septic tank. They could have just laid the concrete and not have mentioned the problem but with my ok went ahead and fixed the pipes before continuing so I wouldn't need to tear the new driveway up to repair them in the future. They were very courteous and cleaned up along the way, always on time when promised and answered every question I had. Would recommend this company to everybody. You won't be sorry. My drive looks absolutely amazing and will definitely give his phone number to others looking for this type of work

Bob was working in the neighborhood...2 other driveways...we saw the quality of his work...we set up an appointment thru home advisor...the crew started & completed the job in 2 consecutives days including a patio in the back yard...the entire crew was great...especially the finishers...beautiful job...highly recommend R C Guffey

From beginning to end, all I can say is WOW!!! Very professional, prompt, great work ethic, kept me informed through each phase of the project, wanted to make sure I approved and was happy! BEAUTIFUL work! It's hard for me to even remember how things were before my project began without looking back at pictures! Bob asked what I wanted and I told him my basic needs. Then he had his vision and went with it. I couldn't have imagined things any different or any better! Definitely quality workmanship all the way! His crew was very friendly, polite, and hard-working! Their work definitely improved the value of my home! I would definitely hire again! They have my highest recommendation....5 stars all the way!!!

Our project was pretty unique and Bob did a fantastic job for us. He constructed an elevated parking pad for our RV with a poured concrete footer, concrete block foundation and a reinforced concrete pad that will look great and last for many, many years to come. I'm an engineer and had a very specific plan for the project. Bob met all of our specifications for the job and even added a few additional features to provide a finished product that looks really nice and is no doubt strong enough to park our 14,000 pound RV on top of it. Bob did an excellent job of communicating with us before and during the project and he and his crew maintained an exceptionally clean work site at our house during the entire job. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for concrete and masonry. In fact, I just referred him to a friend for concrete work earlier today!

Bob is one of those guys that everyone hopes they find in a contractor. There are contractor horror stories out there (we have experienced one with a different contractor on something else) but you won't get anything but satisfaction from RC Guffey. I agree with all the comments praising him. We were not just satisfied but delighted. The photos on this site today were made at my home and my neighbor's and you can see the attention to detail along with the enormous effort his team puts into it. They earn every penny.

We had a double wide driveway paved. Bob's bid was below his competitors. Rainy weather delayed parts of the project. The craftsmanship and attitude of Bob and his crew were professional and courteous. The job was beautifully executed. We also had Bob give us a quote for installing drainage to direct water away from the back of our home. The price again was reasonable. The materials were first quality and the job was completed professionally, including placement of topsoil and reseeding. We would recommend Bob and his company to anyone.

I had a "heck" of a time finding a concrete contractor to even provide us with an estimate due to where we live (Port Vue) becuase most companies don't seem willing to work outside of a 10 mile radius of their location. I had been using one of those "other sites" and gave up and then looked here at HA. That is where I found Bob . . .and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy I did! Bob provided the MOST REASONABLE estimate for our work ($14,092) and I felt EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE with him - he was very thorough with measuring during his first visit (even down on his hands and knees looking under my patio), thoroughly explained what would work for the drainage in my driveway, and provided input on what would work for us. He provided me the estimate timely verbally, dropped the written estimate off when he said he would and was great to deal with EVEN BEFORE we had definitely decided to use him (NOT PUSHY!!!!!). After we received the other two RIDICULOUS estimates (one was over $20,000 and the other was only going to do the work "sporadically", a red flag), we decided Bob was our man! Somehow, we "lucked out" and another job had "pushed" - I talked to Bob Monday morning and the job was started WEDNESDAY!! We had our Driveway, all of our sidewalks, patio and steps replaced. This required EXTENSIVE demolition. Bob and his WONDERFUL CREW (seriously - I LOVE these guys as I have NEVER seen such hard workers that were very courteous and friendly) ran into a SERIOUS issue when the patio was demolished - apparently the brick on the back of my house was never extended to the foundation - the brick had been built directly ONTO the patio. About 2 hours after the patio had been demolished, the brick shifted about 1/4". Bob handled it quickly - He secured any further shifting and brainstormed what to do. We discussed it and he said there may be some cost added on, which we OK'ed (ended up being about 1/3 of what we thought it would be!!!!!!). The second day, Bob explained exactly what they were going to do to stabilize the brick wall, jacked it back into place. He basically was going to finish the construction that had not been done! By lunch time on the second day, everything was demolished, the forms were placed, the stone layed and the steel reinforcement placed - including some VERY THICK rebar reinforcing the "patio" issue!!!! The third day, TWO FULL TRUCKLOADS of cement were poured (it is seriously A LOT of concrete!) Bob's Crew had to deal with ridiculously high heat and impending weather and I have never seen a crew work so quickly at anything - and you can tell they DEFINITELY know what they are doing! I could not keep up with taking pictures to e-mail my husband at work as everything progressed! The pattern in the concrete was hand done and looks MAGNIFICENT!!!!! Bob had eliminated the small step up to my front porch (which trust me, was an EXTREME tripping hazard!) and the front sidewalk is now level to the existing porch. The side s

From the time Bob came out and gave me an estimate I felt that I was dealing with a person who who is as personable as well as professional. His crew and he arrived when he said they would and they were all very professional and friendly, I hardly knew they were there except for the sounds of their machine. I would recommend Bob in a second and will have him back to do another job.

Bob and his crew were professional, pleasant and neat. Our neighbors even commented that while we were at work, they were never a problem. No foul language, yelling or arguments, unlike other outdoor work we have had done in the past by other contractors. Bob offered an alternative design and configuration that will "grow old" with us. He also was instrumental in determining a way to install the required drainage that was satisfactory to the township as well as less expensive for us. He met with the township on his own time and secured all permits. The work was done in less time than we anticipated, looks beautiful and we are very pleased. We witnessed several neighbors stopping to ask for an estimate. The day ours was completed, Bobs team started a job on our street.

He asks what I want, gave price then convinced me to change my mind and saved me $. And it looks much better. Exceeded my expectations. Cleaned up afterwards.
