It was touch and go for a while, and I was not at all impressed with the folks at Lowes.com. I ordered three cabinets online, and they found 2 of them locally; one had to be ordered in from the Midwest. They had a lot of trouble keeping track of the cabinets, one cabinet was canceled by an overzealous clerk, and the one from the Midwest was MIA for several days. But the assistant manager at my local store (Randy) pulled it all together for me. He went out of his way for me, so in spite of all the chaos and the poor service I received from the online store, I am now a committed Lowe's customer. I'll just be sure to shop at my local store.

I did not have any unexpected issues with the service. They did a good job, came in and it was fairly painless. They did an estimate, we got approved on the estimate and did the work. They were punctual and it is nice dealing with a national company sometimes because I don't have to worry about them being fly-by-night or anything.

I know the layout of the store; I just go get what I need. If I ever ask the staff a question, they have been helpful. The people are friendly.

The blinds were great once the guy came out and measured. The people in the Lowe's store were not knowledgeable about the products. I was on my own. It's one thing if you're picking up a dish drainer and deciding if you like it; it's another if you're ordering custom things. It's good if the people know something about the product and they didn't. The store called me for feedback and I told them the same thing. I'm assuming the price was competitive; I didn't do any comparison shopping. I don't think the price was out of line. The people in the store were not professional but the installer was. I would use them again but I would do a lot more research so that I would be able to make up for their lack of knowledge.

Carpet Installation
The purchase was fine, the installation wasn't so great, because we kept playing phone tag, however they finally came, and installed the carpet. However, they weren't professional as I thought they should be. They went out, smoked, that was fine, but they left their cigarette butts on my property, and they also said their vacuum cleaner wasn't working, so, we had to vacuum up the carpet clippings and carpet, ourselves. I give them low ratings and probably would continue to use Lowe's because of the low price.
