Description of Work: The $134 was in addition to the cost of the deal offered. Fred showed up at the arranged time, serviced and repaired the outside air conditioning unit and it needed a part which cost $35. That was the only charge for that service. I asked Fred if he knew who could service my 3 natural gas heaters, I knew he offered heating services but i thought it was just for furnaces and I don't have a furnace. He said he could do it and he called another appointment he had to see if he could be a little later and it was ok, so he stayed and serviced all my gas heaters for $33 a piece which I thought was very fair. Now I have peace of mind with the coming winter and use of my heaters. He answered all the questions I had about the heaters and air conditioner unit, was very professional, very nice, very prompt and courteous. If I have any problems in the future I will call Fred! I've also already recommended him to my sister and I highly recommend him to anyone needing the services he offers.

Description of Work: Fred is a down to earth and honest guy. I bought the 18-point a/c tune up coupon on Angies List for $69. Fred had to cancel the appointment at the last minute but was honest and called me to tell me and rescheduled right away. Other companies in the recent past just didnt show. My A/C unit is about 30 years old so he could gave easily taken me to the bank telling me i would need a new unit. He was honest and told me that this one is still working fine and could last a few more years. I highly recommend him.

Description of Work: I have not responded to yours previous request as due to a mistake I was assigned to him. However, I live in No. California and therefore didn't use his services, but would love to have Starbuck's card.

Description of Work: Checked out, tuned up and cleaned oil boiler; also related A/C and heat pump system and air handler. Actually utilized Fred's services 2 additional times shortly thereafter. First to upgrade our thermostat controls throughout my house and the boiler and zone control unit in my basement. Second to take out an oil furnace and replace a new gas furnace for a rental property we own. Great service and pricing on all three services.

Description of Work: Fred did general maintenance to my HVAC unit. I have no complaints about the job service. I have complaints that Angie's contact information for Fred was incorrect. I had to track him down on the internet to get his service. Also, I paid $100 for the service through an opportunity on Angie's list. Only to see that the service was offered again for a cheaper rate after I had paid and received the service. This made me very dissatisfied with Angie's list.

Description of Work: I purchased the special to have my air conditioner cleaned and checked. Since it had been many years since it was cleaned I knew it was in serious need of this service. Mr. Cramer did a good job of cleaning the unit. When he checked the freon he told me it needed a charge. This was a surprise to me since I had no problem the previous year keeping my entire house cool, even during the warmest of weather. Although I was skeptical of the need for coolant I did agree to have him charge the unit. My unit may have very well needed coolant, but I have this nagging feeling that the "special deal" was a setup to sell coolant and pad the bill. I could be wrong...but would suggest that others who may take advantage of a special offer keep their eyes open.

Description of Work: He service my furnace/ac unit. It worked fine before he did it and it worked fine after. I have no way to judge what type of work he does. I guess time will tell. I gave him a "C" for quality and overall experience because I had to give him something to move on with the questionaire. He was nice enough, so I said I would use his services again in the future for the same reason. If/when the time comes, I can't say what I'll doo. He just didn't seem to want to do the job. I responded to your offer in November 2012 and immediately phoned him to set up a service time. I got his voicemail and left a message. He never got back to me until i sent a complaining email to you with a copy to him in the middle of January.

He's an excellent technician, as well as a genuinely "good guy" - more than willing to take time and explain exactly what needs to be done. We certainly intend to continue using his service in the future and recommend him highly.

Description of Work: Fred showed up promptly to do a 20 point furnace check up and cleaning. I also mentioned a problem I was having with my Aprilaire humidifier. After running along with the furnace to moisten the air, the aprilaire water supply would not shut off. We had a constant stream of water running unless we shut off the Aprilaire at the control box. Last January I had Service Oil Co. to my home twice to repair this problem. They charged me $375. and stated that I would just have to listen for the sound of water running and manually turn off the Aprilaire control to stop wasting water. The tech told me that the only way to correct the problem was with an expensive electronic standard isolation relay installation which would cost me a lot. After a brief check on the Aprilaire, Fred got a $22.00 relay from his truck and installed it for $20.00. If only I had called him last January!! He completed the check up and cleaning of my gas furnace and said everything looked fine. With my Angies account special price 20 point checkup for $69.00 my total bill was $111.00 Thank you Fred Cramer, you will always be the one I call for future heating and air conditioning concerns.

Description of Work: Fred was hired to perform routine service on our furnace and A/C system. While there, I asked him to replace a bathroom vent. He completed quickly and professionally. I'd definitely recommend him for residential heat and A/C work.

Description of Work: I called Fred Cramer to schedule an appt. in May. He scheduled me one month later inks June4th. He then called to reschedule and actually showed up on June 8th. He arrived promptly on time, acknowledged the paid coupon, and proceeded to check my heating/ac system. I needed to add coolant which he did immediately. He also needed to order a relay that was sticking and I paid in advance for the part and his service call. His return visit to install the part was scheduled for a week later. He rescheduled again and didn't actually install the part until the end of the month. He was always courteous and eventually finished the work. His prices were reasonable also. My complaint is his promptness in getting back to me. I had to call him several times to find out what was happening and when I could expect him to finish the job. I, the customer, felt like I was put on the back burner for when it was convenient for him to fit me in. For this reason, I would not reccommend him. (Leslie shares a fantastic one on her blog!) Lesson Plans (an old template from last year) Standards and GLE's (These have been shrunken to print two to a page, front and back, since I need standards for both 4th and 5th grade, for all subjects).

Description of Work: Fred did an EXCEPTIONAL job installing the whole-house humidifier and instructing me on its use and care, but in caring for my home as if it were his own, cleaning up after himself to perfection. He is such an honest, caring person and always explained what he was doing. I highly recommend Fred and his top notch services. I can't imagine trusting anyone else to care for the heating and cooling of my home. GREAT job!!!

Description of Work: Performed maintenance on central air system. Several weeks later I contacted him again because AC went on the fritz. Though the problem was not related to the previous service he performed, he charged me only for the parts and not the labor. Very happy with this company and it's services.
