He quoted a price of $50.00 to recharge the leaking unit. After I approved the suggested re-charge, he presented a bill for a over $250.00, stating that it was not a total of $50.00 for the refrigerant, but rather $50.00 per gallon. Additionally, his invoice showed he was also trying to bill for cleaning the two units and a service call fee. I refused to pay the cleaning fee, having never requested that service. He attempted to remove the refrigerant from the system but was unable to remove it all. In the end, I agreed to pay him for only 2 gallons of refrigerant. I reiterated that he had been called only to give us an estimate on replacing the entire system and that it made no sense whatsoever for him to clean 2 units that were about to be replaced. Needless to say, we never did hear back from him with an estimate.

Very positive experience. Fred doesn't mind explaining things when asked. He is very thorough and professional. After everything was done, I checked the cooling in the house and within the hour, the temp dropped two degrees. That is much faster than the last time I used the system. The cost includes a $69 maintenance coupon purchase and $150 for three pounds of refrigerant. I am very pleased with the service and will have Fred quote on future heating and cooling work.

Overall went very well. We used Fred for an annual servicing of our heat pump, and were very pleased with his service and prices. We brought him back to install a humidifier system in the house. I purchased the coupon on angie's list for $79 cleaning. My heating system has two systems, a heat pump and an oil furnace, so I had to purchase two coupons. Total cost was $183.00 because of an additional $25 charge for an oil furnace. All of the charges were disclosed up front. On the day of the service he had a cancellation and called to see if we would like him to come earlier. It worked out and was able to come earlier in the day. The service was done accurately and in the appropriate amount of time. I had priced several other providers and they were much more expensive. I was pleased and would use him again.

Mr. Cramer responded very promptly to a saturday morning call to repair our furnace which had given out the night before. He arrived quickly and diagnosed the problem, and worked diligently and thoroughly until it was resolved. We discovered his company a couple of months ago here on Angie's list; on both occasions he visited he was courteous, knowledgable, and punctual. The prices he quoted us were a great value for the service and time he provided. We will certainly call on him again and recommend him without reservation.

You know how many people you have come across that you'd like to slap? You know the ones. The ones that never call back, never show up, show up late and do their job half a______ed? Well, DON'T look anymore. I originally called Fred because I belong to Angie's list and they sent me a special on furnace cleaning at a TERRIFIC price. I thought what the heck and called him. Fred came to my house ON TIME like he said he would. He was so nice and friendly. Not a bull crapper. You could tell he was a VERY HONEST person, which is very rare in his business. We liked his work so much so we had him give us an estimate on my parents home I inherited. His estimate was very reasonable and I was as happy as could be. He gave me the estimate over email within 2 days at the most and I immediately told him he was hired. We scheduled the appointment immediately after I got my oil tank drained and removed. (he can also do this if needed). Fred showed up when promised and worked very hard making my furnace and ductwork BEAUTIFUL and ready for me!!! The water heater he put in was honestly beautifull, if that's possible!! Fred is a very reliable, honest, hard working, down to earth person that you will right away feel comfortable around. You will know right from the beginning that you like him and you will not question yourself if you have made the right choice or not. I completely trust his work and have from the start.
