The times that were offered were all several weeks out and in the middle of the work day with no flexibility. I would have needed to take an entire day off work which would have cost me more that what I "saved" on the discounted offer.

Description of Work: I purchased the whole house humidifier from mr. Cramer. He contacted me immediately to schedule a time for installation. Came right on time and did a very nice professional job, was curious, did not try to sell me other services and left the premises as neatly as he found them. Good job and I'm very glad to have the whole house humidifier.

 + -1 moreFred arrived on time and in a work truck. He was a professional... very nice, quietly respectful and he did a great job!! We had ordered the $69 20-pt inspection and he delivered everything on the list. The only reason that our inspection cost a tad extra was because we needed some extra freon for our system which solved our issue with the AC cooling well enough for summer. He asked before putting the extra in to make sure and gave me the estimated cost difference, and even gave us a very nice break on a partial amount, instead of telling me that we needed more than necessary! I appreciated his honest demeanor and we have had him come back since to winterize our system. We were just as delighted with his second visit and learned a little about his family while waiting for timing breaks on the heat pump. Very, very nice man that I would highly, highly recommend.

Description of Work: I found Fred through the "Big Deal" on Angie's List last year. He actually called me to set up the date and was flexible with my schedule. I hired him again in the spring of this year to do my air conditioning service. Just last month I noticed water dripping from my hot water heater...I am not a plumber but I know that is not normal! After about 5 minutes of panic and thinking who should I call, I remembered how efficient Fred was in the past. I left him a message in which he promptly called me back. He set up a time that same week and not only repaired my hot water heater, he fixed another area of plumbing in my basement at the same time that was sort of elective, but a nuisance to me. He is very fair, did not give me a line of BS (which often happens), and did not do any unneccesary repairs with my hot water heater, telling me to let him know if it would start leaking and he would come back out and add something (truly can't remember the something, but he was honest!!!) I highly recommend Fred for any HVAC/plumbing needs...he is fair, honest, and quick to respond back. All of which are hard to find these days!

 + -1 moreFred was prompt (early, in fact) and courteous. He went right to work on the AC. He found and repaired a leak at a valve. He also added 2lbs. of R22. AC worked very well all summer and we actually noticed it to be colder and more efficient.

Mr Cramer arrived on time the day of service, after a phone call to say he was on the way. He performed the check of our system, and informed me that the freon level was low. After informing me of the cost to add freon, which I approved, he then completed the service. He was polite, and explained things well.

He seemed competent and he was sufficient. He pointed out a couple of things and I would use him again. He has years of experience and works efficiently, and he kept the place clean.

While he was servicing we enquired about the whole house humidifier and if our duct work was adequate enough for it.He assured us that our HVAC duct were good enough so we went ahead and took advantage of the humidifier deal Fred had on going. We are very satisifed with the service.

 + -1 moreHonestly, Fred is absolutely the best! Most importantly he is honest!! He had fixed our furnace a month earlier but we hadn't used it. When I went to turn the furnace on since we really needed it, it made a horrible noise. I called Fred and within 15 minutes he was there to resolve the issue. And he didn't charge us the second time. He could have made something up and blamed it on us but he has too much integrity!! Simply the best!!!!
Description of Work: Furnace would not stay running. Fred did a thorough cleaning, replaced the jet, check for water in the tank and more.
