Fred Cramer - HVAC Gold Certified

This guy saved me at least $3,000 from the lowest bid I had from three other vendors. His work was on time and excellent. We did have a small leak in one pipe that I found the day after the completed installation. When I called him he was there in one half hour and fixed it. You can't say enough good things about Fred and his company.

Contacted from Angie's list daily deal by email, for water softener, I told Fred Cramer that I was interested in UV purification system and he got back to me with a reasonable price. He installed it in keeping with my schedule. No problems, it seems to work fine.

Fred responded right away to my call, and he came out to the house quickly. Furthermore, he did an excellent job with the repairs, and he's the best technician I've dealt with in the past 23 years.

He was on time, professional, and did the job well. He was very informative and willing to converse about my boiler. He showed knowledge and ability with integrity that was appreciated. Highly recommended.

Fred did a very good job in a timely fashion. He also offered valuable advice and also helped us with an additional item. In fact, we are having Fred come back again for some additional service.

Although there was some difficulty coordinating schedules - he cancelled once because of a a heating emergency call - all went as scheduled, quickly and without problem.

Great experience. Fred called to confirm the appointment prior to the actual day. On the day of the appointment he was right on schedule. Fred worked efficiently, described the service he was performing and pointed out additional information about my furnace. Afterward he ensured the work area was cleaned. This is just the way this type of service should be!

Fred was on time and everything went as planned. Work was done and I was completely satisfied. Actually I already booked Fred for an A/C tuneup in the spring! Very satisfied!

Fred returned our call promptly. He was able to set a date and time for installation within 2 weeks. He came on time and his work was exceptional. He explained the operation of the humofifier and the maintenance in easy to understand words. His work was professional and he left our home neat and clean.. We will definately use him for any other heating AC work we may need.

Fred was accomodating of my schedule, was prompt, pointed out a potential problem with a water valve but was able to clear it without needing to replace it. He answered my questions, was efficient and pleasant.

I have already submitted a review however that was before 1/10/13, when my Natural Gas Furnace almost caught fire. I had to call UGI out to our home due to high flames coming from the furnace. Once UGI inspected the furnance they informed me that my furnace had not been cleaned in sometime, I then informed them that Fred Cramer came to my home for $59.00 in Oct 2012 to clean the furnace...the service man from UGI said no way. He then said that it would need cleaned and he was unable to perform that service and that I would be without heat until I was scheduled to have the cleaning through UGI. The next morning I called the company WF Buffington which I've worked with them for several years. They informed me of the same information. The service man said that there was no possible way that the furnace could have been cleaned. He said that there is not much to the furance for it to be the way it was if it had been cleaned. It took two hours however my furnace is clean and is working perfectly. I called Fred Crammer the evening of 1/10/12 and he informed me that he was not coming to my home, that he did all that he was to do and that he will not come and check his work, honor any kind of warranty and left me and my family without heat for the night. I informed him that I would be contacting the BBb and Angies list and his response was "that's fine". PLEASE DO NOT USE HIS SERVICE. I will be contacting the BBB and the PA Attorney General's office if to do nothing more than report this scrupulous work. I would like a refund for the non work that Fred Cramer claimed he preformed and the serives calls for UGI and WB Buffington to be refunded to me.

As best as I can recall, he called me to set up a date to perform the service for which the certificate was purchased. There was some extra service which he offered as an option that I accepted. He was thorough and very professional. The total service fee was less than half what the prior provider was asking that year.

Fred does good work and is trustworthy.

Went well but if you unplug something remember to plug it back in.Overall I was very pleased.

My aging heat pump was freezing up when it turned on, it also was not turning itself off. It just kept on running. Fred Cramer did a service on my heat pump and determined that my aging heat pump needed a new computer panel. Fred told me the price to replace my computer panel before he did any work. Fred gave me what I thought was a very good price, and I told him to do the work. Fred is very professional and very friendly.He tells you what needs to be done, and give you great service at a great price. I would recommend Fred Cramer to anyone who asks me!!!!!!!!!!

He arrived on Time promised and went right to work. Very professional and very knowledgeable and when job was finished gather all tools and supplies and left for next job.

Good experience. Friendly, efficient and punctual; and the unit he installed is a high-quality, highly rated product. Fred was finished in just a couple of hours and cleaned up all debris. The humidifier is working well and I can feel the difference in the air quality in my home.

Fred was prompt when calling us to schedule the installation. He provided good preliminary communication, by contacting us to remind us of our appointment and on the day of installation to confirm arrival time. He was courteous and professional. The installation went smoothly, and upon completion he walked us through the work he performed and how everything operated.

Cramer appeared on time and did a relatively good job of inspecting my central air conditioning equipment. He claimed the unit was low on freon and claimed that because it was freon and not the newer fluid, he'd have to charge me around $150.00 per pound. It required two pounds. Then he said the valve was leaking and needed to repair that, but I had to have another AC specialist come to repair the valve again when I noticed something dripping from the back of the unit. Not sure what happened, but the second repairman, a friend of mine, said the valve was leaking and had to replace it, along with adding more freon.

Fred was a little late due to misjudging travel time to Hanover and then being sent a little off track with his GPS, which happens often with GPS and my address. Fred was friendly, professional and went right to work. It took less than an hour and I was completely satisfied with his work.

Fred worked methodically and thoroughly, and solved the problems my system had. I had purchased my house last winter, and was not familiar with a natural gas fired hot water system. Fred instructed me in what I needed to know, and answered my questions. Most of the work was in the basement, at my furnace, after he checked my two thermostats and a top floor shut-off valve. I was quite pleased with Fred Cramer's service, and intend to hire him next year to check out my system.
