Chris was punctual, responsive and professional. He did a fantastic job and was a pleasure to work with. Very trustworthy and left him with keys to the house with no worries. He showed up on time and completed the work on schedule. He was also very tidy, cleaning up at the end of each day. Having worked with multiple contractors over the last couple of years, Chris is easily one of the best and easiest to work with. I definitely recommend using his services.

This is the second time I have contracted with Chris for home repairs. Chris' work and professionalism were as exemplary this time as during my previous experience. Chris scheduled an appointment to see the work to be done and submitted an estimate in a timely manner. He was likewise prompt in responding to all email and kept me apprised of his schedule in beginning and finishing the work. My basement walls had been deteriorating for some time and were in tough shape. Chris removed all of the loose material and applied two coats of mortar to the walls with excellent results. He replaced two of the concrete steps leading into my basement from outside by repouring concrete. Chris maintained a neat work site throughout the project. Chris also replaced a section of stucco that had become damaged as a result of a porch roof leak. He ensured that the pattern of the repair match the original stucco surrounding it. Chris has done a variety of masonry jobs at my home during the past couple of years. I believe his work quality, price, and professional demeanor are all outstanding. I recommend Chris's masonry services without reservation.

We were extremely happy with our choice to use Chris Basile Masonry Reconstruction to repair our retaining wall. I called and left a voicemail for Chris and he returned the call a few days later. He came by to look at the wall and emailed a proposal within a few days. The quote was very competitive. (We obtained several others from Angie's List contractors). We contacted Chris and the work was scheduled for several weeks later, which was not a problem. Chris came on the scheduled day, at the time he stated. He worked hard and finished in his estimated time. All of the items we spoke about were completed and he did a thorough job of cleaning up, leaving the wall and surrounding area looking brand new. Chris was great! He was courteous and punctual. He started and finished exactly when he said he would. His professionalism showed when I asked for a discount for getting some of the prep work done myself (specifically a lot of brick demo) and he graciously said that would be okay. My advice is this: Chris is a professional. Let him do the work. The price is reasonable, and the end result is excellent.

Had Chris out for initial estimate on a tear down and replacement of the stucco at the base of the house. His price was a little higher but we were impressed with his quick response and professionalism. We used him for this job, the work was performed exactly as described and in a timely basis. We subsequently had him also do the same work on our detached garage which also had some loose cinderblock base. The block was reset and stucco was applied, again according to specifications. All in all, we couldn't be more pleased with Chris' work and would recommend him without hesitation.

He did wonderful work and my patio looked absolutely beautiful - I was very happy with it! Shortly thereafter, though, another storm came through and washed out an adjacent section of the patio and Chris came back and repaired it as well as shoring up some of the stones he had originally worked on at no charge. He was timely, professional and left my patio looking better than before. I could not be happier with his work.

Chris was very professional. After receiving 5 bids for the reasonably small job, we chose to go with Chris due his positive reviews and quick follow-up. We realized that there were many ways to repair the stone deterioration and we decided to go with the cheapest option. Overall, we were satisfied with Chris and his work.

Called and left a voicemail message to ask for an estimate on replacement or repair of concrete steps in front of my house. Chris returned my call and let me know that he no longer does concrete work. I was happy to get the return call and information. I am waiting to hear from the 3 other providers I contacted for estimates. In the future if I need repointing done, I will call for an estimate from him.

Chris responded in a timely manner with a reasonable bid. We contracted him to do the work, but due to an unfortunate miscommunication with another contractor, the other contractor showed up without scheduling and did the work. Chris was understanding of the situation and refunded the part of our deposit which he hadn't already spent on materials.

Great, he came out one day and cleaned the old stucco off and preped the site. The came back shortly after that and finished the job. He kept me informed of his job dates and did the job as he indicated. As of this writing, the side of my house is not longer leaking and the stucco has stayed. he will be back in the spring to fix the crack on the other side of the house.

Work was completed in about a half day, completely to my satisfaction.

Chris was professional, diligent, and courteous from the outset. He responded quickly to my phone message inquiry and stopped at the house the next day to assess our chimneys. He was candid about his schedule, noting that weather permitting, he would begin work in late November. Chris impressed us with his focus and ability. He arrived each morning and single handedly worked throughout the day. Chris removed loose stucco sections and then wired the side chimney with metal lath. He applied the scratch and finish coats, doing a great job of matching the existing trowel pattern. The back chimney didn't require such extensive work, and Chris was honest about not needing to re-stucco its surface. Once the stucco cured appropriately, Chris added caulking to all seams and any hairline cracks he found. He went to great lengths to find a color match for our house's exterior paint and finished both chimneys with a paint/sealant coating, which he left in the event of any touch up needs. Chris also took significant care and time to repoint the brickwork at the tops and sides of each chimney. In all, we were extremely pleased with the work done and the way the job was managed. Chris was always affable and willing to answer questions we had, even while atop the scaffolding. He was honest, fair and very skilled at his craft. After the job, more than one neighbor asked us about the work and our opinions. We hope that they contact Chris, as we wholly recommend his company and services.

Chris did a very nice job in repairing both of my chimneys, which were challenging to reach by ladder. Color match on both was excellent. He was very neat and left the work are in excellent condition. He was also very prompt in his communications. I would definitely recommend him.

Chris was easy to reach, gave me a clear quote and scheduled the work when I needed him to come! At my house, he was very respectful of my home and helped me to keep it as clean as possible through the dusty work. The hearth looks great! I would use him again.

When I first contacted Chris during early summer, he told me up front that he was booked up until September and that if I needed the work done sooner, I should seek someone else. Based on other contractors and quotes, I decided to wait out the summer for Chris, although his was not the cheapest quote. As promised, he contacted me in late August and was able to start the job before September. Communicating with him from the first was very efficient, especially by email. His responses were quick and timely. He showed up exactly on time for the initial quote, for a second visit to add some work to the project, and for the start of the project. During the job, he did the work himself and worked hard at it. I was very pleased with the quality of the work done and its appearance. The one issue which I noticed only after a time, was that when the slate stones were dry, some cement smears were visible on some of them, despite final pressure washing by Chris at the completion of the project. I emailed him about my concern, and he responded extremely promptly, scheduled a visit within a day or 2, and nicely addressed the issue, to my satisfaction. Chris is a quality professional as well as a nice person to work with, and I look forward to utilizing his services in the future.
