I HAVE NOTICED THE MORTAR JOINTS WERE IN NEED OF REPAIR/RENEWAL AT THE TOP OF MY CHIMNEY. I READ MANY REVIEWS PERTAINING TO THIS TYPE OF REPAIR SHORTLY AFTER JOINING ANGIE'S LIST AND DECIDED TO CONTACT CHRIS BASILE. SHORTLY AFTER MAKING CONTACT, HE CAME TO MY HOUSE AND THE VERY NEXT DAY HE PROVIDED ME WITH A PROPOSAL. I ACCEPTED THE PROPOSAL AND HE FOLLOWED UP IN A DAY OR TWO EXPLAINING THAT IT WOULD BE APPROXIMATELY (2) WEEKS BEFORE HE COULD ACCOMPLISH THE WORK DUE TO HIS PRIOR COMMITMENTS. HE EXCAVATED THE OLD MORTAR FROM THE BRICKWORK AND APPLIED NEW CEMENT FROM THE ROOFLINE TO TOP OF THE CHIMNEY INCLUDING THE CROWN AT THE TOP OF THE CHIMNEY. HE COMPLETED THE WORK IN A MATTER OF HOURS AND CLEANED THE WORKSITE OF ALL DEBRIS. I FOUND HIM TO BE KNOWLEDGEABLE, PROFESSIONAL, AND COURTEOUS. I WOULD HIRE HIM FOR ANY FUTURE REPAIRS AND RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE NEEDING SIMILAR WORK ACCOMPLISHED.

When I contacted Chris for an estimate, he came out quickly. I found him to be very professional, polite and friendly. This made my decision to hire him very easy. When I had to reschedule the start date, Chris was understanding and worked with me on a time frame that worked well with my schedule. The overall work that was done, was a GRADE A +, he did a fantastic job. From start to finish, he made sure all details were complete. I will be sure to use Chris again and will recommend him to everyone.

Chris used bricks that matched my house which due to the age (over 100 years), was difficult to do. He also sealed the areas around the bricks with new mortar and resealed several other areas where the mortar had cracked. He was neat and cleaned up each day. I Would definitely use him again.

Chris was great - very reasonable estimate, prompt email response, and showed up exactly on time. Cleaned up everything well and managed to rig up a ladder system that didn't destroy my new landscape plantings! Hopefully that's the last of our masonry needs, but I'd definitely use Chris again if needed.

Chris was professional, prompt and did impeccable work on all aspects of the job. Friends and neighbors stopped to admire his work and we provided his phone number to one neighbor on request. Our large project took a week to complete, yet we hardly knew he was there. He was respectful of us, our privacy and our property,. We lost not a leaf of our many foundation plantings. Chris was very prompt and professional. I reached out to a few contractors and although Chris was not the best price, I felt more comfortable when dealing with him and also liked the reviews on Angie's List better. He was able to do the job quickly after I accepted his proposal and did the repointing while I was at work. Repointing to me can never look perfect and unfortunately I've had a few contractors repoint different areas of my chimney so its hard to distinguish who repointed what. That being said, the repointing has held up well with all the rain we had this summer. I am hoping it holds up just as well this winter. I will consider Chris for any future masonry work I may need and recommend that others consider him.

Initially, when I called different stone masons from Angie's List, Chris was the first to call me back. He was honest about his work schedule and since I was not in a hurry, I waited a short time to call him back for an estimate. Chris arrived promptly on the determined date to look at the work that needed to be done. His estimate arrived within a few days after that first visit. I was agreeable with Chris's suggestions and we scheduled the date for him to do the work. Chris returned promptly on the arranged date and time and completed the work to my satisfaction. I think he was meticulous with his work materials and used good judgment concerning the specifics of the task. Chris's work is beautiful and I am pleased with the result. I am very glad I called him and would certainly consult with him again.

Chris returned my call immediately and came out to see and price the job. Within a day or two he sent the estimate. We decided to do 75% of the work and when we told him he was perfectly fine with that. Next we picked out a color for the paint. My husband and I were very concerned about the foundation looking "painted" and we discussed that with Chris. He showed us paint that had texture to it and we were very hopeful. We chose a color and Chris painted a small section of the foundation and we didn't like it at all. So we chose another color once we saw that the actual colors are much lighter than they appear on the sample folder. The foundation looks amazing. It is completely repaired and looks like stucco. It makes the house look new. Chris is respectful, punctual and the consummate professional. I kept asking him what else he did because we loved his work so much.

He was able to squeeze our project in earlier than scheduled which we greatly appreciated. Chris was prompt, professional, efficient and affable. Fantastic. Chris showed up to provide the quote on time as promised. He went through everything with my mother that needed to be done. After receiving his written estimate, we decide to go with him. The quote was signed an a deposit given. A date was set for the work to begin. Due to a scheduling issue, he stopped by the house on 7/9 to see if it would be ok to start the next day. We agreed and he arrived right on time, He was very professional, cleaned everything up afterwards and the work looks great. I absolutely would hire him again.

Chris is the type of contractor you want to do business with, he is very professional. He arrived on a Saturday to look over the work we needed which was helpful to our schedule. We received an estimate within hours of our meeting and we scheduled the work to be performed within a short time frame. Our fireplace looks great and, more importantly and thankfully, is weather tight. The work was performed in a skillful and efficient manner. As mentioned, he is professional and personable as well. It's nice to have easy and consistent communication. We would be happy to have Chris help us out again!

Excellent! Chris was over to evaluate our needs soon after I contacted him. He did a thorough inspection around the house and showed me all the areas that needed repair. He emailed me a written estimate and the price was reasonable for the amount of work that was needed. When we decided to go ahead with the work, he was able to schedule us within the next couple of weeks. It took two days to do all of the work, and it looks very nice. He matched what didn't need to be repaired, and left the yard/bushes the way that he found them. I would highly recommend him to anyone and would use him again in the future for any other masonry projects.

Contractors like Chris Basile are the reason why Angie's List has done so well over the years. I needed my chimney pointed along with several sidewalk repairs and cement leveling in the driveway. I also needed this work done as soon as the weather would possibly allow. I wasted time calling around town until my Father recommended we use his Angie's List. We found Chris and his team and gave them a call. Chris is a no nonsense, honest and efficient craftsman. Period. That's all you really want, right? His quote was competitive, his start date was realistic and ALL cement work was crisp and tight. I had to be out of town the day this project was scheduled but Chris was very accommodating and agreed to send pictures right to my phone when the work was completed. In short, I would definitely recommend Chris Basile Masonry and my Father will be using him for some repairs, too. Call them. This process really doesn't need to be a headache.

When I contacted Chris I received nothing but professionalism from beginning to end. He promptly returned my inquiry phone call and within 48 hours of my initial contact he came out to provide an estimate for the work needed. He came this morning to complete the job and was prompt in his arrival, starting the job at 8am and finished the work in 3 hours. His work is great and I as a result of that, I will be using him to do some other pointing repair work that is needed. 2 thumbs up from me!

Chris Basile's company is very professional. From the proposal to the completion of the job Chris and his crew did a wonderful job. Chris add a 12 ft by 12 ft patio to the front of our house and it looks great. The work was so clean.....they removed all the dirt and building material from our house so the only evidence of them being there was this beautiful new patio. The job was done so nice that my neighbors have made multiple comments on how good it looks and a contractor asked me for his business card so he could use chris on his jobs. I will and have recommended this company to anyone looking for top quality work.

Chris did an exceptional job. He worked around the weather and completed the project in four days. He maintained a neat job site area and when the project was done the only thing left behind were the improvements that he made. I would highly recommend Chris and would not hesitate to use him in the future for my masonry needs.

About a month ago a stone in our flagstone walkway came loose. It was a dangerous condition because the stone was part of the top of a step so I wanted it fixed quickly before someone got hurt. I called several companies, but Chris was the only one that responded promptly, came to the house, and provided an estimate the same day. The price was reasonable and he made a good impression so I contracted with him to do the work. He arrived on time and cleaned up nicely after completing the job. Due to the freezing weather the cement calcified when it dried and the color of the stucco patch did not match the rest of the area. When I contacted Chris and told him what had happened, he immediately returned, noted the situation, and agreed to fix the problems, at no cost to me, even though what had happened was not his fault. The walk is now repaired and looks as good as new. I am completely satisfied with Chris' work and with the honorable way in which he conducts his business. I will certainly use his services again when the occasion arises and I recommend him to others in the highest possible terms.

Chris was very friendly, professional, and prompt with our estimate. He answered all of our questions in a timely manner, and quoted us a fair price for the work that we were asking to be done. We ended up going with another company who we had worked with in the past and came in with a slightly lower estimate. Although we did not use this company for our project, I wrote this review to speak to the positive qualities he showed while working with us. We will definitely look Chris Basile masonry up for any future projects.

He first came and looked at the job and gave me an estimate, we picked out a relatively warm day to do the job, he came and finished the job at the day and time he said he would. I am very pleased with the outcome and his work ethics.

The overall experience with Chris was excellent from start to finish. He responded quickly to my call and scheduled the work and showed up when he said he would. I just purchased a new home and noticed some water stains in the closet. Chris identified the problem areas and recommended the necessary repairs. The top half of the chimney was re pointed and a new concrete crown was poured on top. The work looks seamless and you would never even know work was done there

Having had challenges with other contractors in the past, it was an absolute delight to work with Chris. He was very professional - giving me an exact date and time when he would come to assess the job. He arrived exactly on time. He was thorough in looking at what needed to be done and explained it to me as we went along. He was very prompt in getting an extremely reasonably priced estimate to me. Once I had asked him to do the job, he moved quickly to work it into his schedule and completed the job just a few days after providing the estimate. He arrived exactly on time, was immaculate in how he did the work and cleaned up. Other than the fantastic looking brick work, you would never know he was here. Chris is very thorough, very clean, very professional. I also got to spend some time speaking with him and he's also a heck of a nice guy. If I ever need stone work done again I will certainly call Chris and I am already freely recommending him to friends. Chris deserves higher than an A rating - I just wish there were a higher rating to give.

I have had sevearl people in to look at the work that needed to be done and none have be able to correct the problem. l finally got someone to discover what the problem was. I need a mason to fix the problem. I called Chris and several other contractors and felt comfortable with Chris Chris arrived on the agreed date promptly . He came equipped with all the tools he needed to preform the work. He is very profeessional and has a nice manner about himself. One senses that this is a honest workmen. I felt comfortable with him, his work and his work ethics. He worked straight thru for 6 hours until the work was completed. He made sure to clean up after his work was finish. He did an excellent job of fixing all the area's of the windows closing the area that water was entering in, and spot pointing area'a on the walls that needed to be redone and could possibly cause more problems. I feel confident that my problem of water leaks around my windows has been solved because Chris did excellent work. I will recommend this young man to others. I had him look at another job that needs to be completed in the future. I am sure he will again do excellent work. it is such a pleasure to have some one do work for you and feel that you are getting exactly what is needed and paid for. I was well pleased.

.Chris was confident and effective in getting the job done. He was friendly, helpful and cooperative but not too talkative- he kept his focus. His social skills are excellent. He was willing to do small tasks outside the written contract, for example he moved 6 80 lb bags of concrete off my trailer into the construction area, and did research on the oven design on his own time. When he arrived he was equipped with everything he needed and completed the job in the amount of time he estimated it would take. At one point he had to solve a problem in the construction project (how to integrate two 3 x 3 x 52 inch pieces of angle iron into the base of the oven as an archway), and did so quickly and effectively. I liked Chris for his reasonable prices, cooperativeness, good problem solving skills, and professionalism. I felt confident that I could discuss my design ideas, and he would be able to listen, integrate them, and yet stay true to his own way of working. I interviewed several masons before I hired Chris, and decided to give him the job because he seemed more flexible and able to use non standard construction techniques.

Chris is a true professional. I contacted him based on the reviews I found on Angie's List & couldn't be happier with the work he completed. . Chris promptly returned my phone call & scheduled a time convenient for me to review repairs I needed to be done. I received a 2 more estimates & Chris either beat the estimates or he was in the same ballpark. Upon accepting the proposal, Chris scheduled the work to be completed within a few days. For insurance reasons the work I had a very narrow window in which to have the repairs completed; Chris gladly accomodated me. The repairs look terrific; Chris did a solid job. I will not hesitiate to call on Chris again for future jobs.
