Description of Work: Replaced brick perimeter on patio, added wire lathe and stucco to facing of cement slab.

Description of Work: I was disappointed that Chris said he would not travel to my home to do the work due to the distance. I am concerned that Angie's List provided me with contractors who are in the region. Saw great responses from his clients, so likely why I am disappointed.

Description of Work: He repaired the pointing on an old stone house. The work was excellent, the property was left cleaner than when he arrived. He even trimmed the bushes nicely to gain access to the walls behind them. I will hire him again whenever I am in need of more masonry work.

Description of Work: Chris was an absolute pleasure to do business with. He was responsive from day one -- and continued to be throughout the design and execution of our new walkway. He is incredibly hard working, met our tight deadline, completed all work as required, and left our property transformed. It looks beautiful! We have had so many complements! I would recommend him without reservation - and look forward to working with him again.

Description of Work: About a month age I hired Chris Basile to do some masonry work. He did a great job. Arrived everyday on time and was able to fix the job that our former contractor messed up. I would highly recommend Chris.

Description of Work: Completely removed the bricks (about 700) and contents of a large planter that was sitting on a brick patio and then rebuilt a large section of the patio. All debris from the demolition was removed in an orderly manner prior to the construction. The restoration was an excellent match with the pre-existing patio . Chris started at 8 am and his work habits are exemplary: efficient, neat and polite.. Without any reservation I highly recommend Chris Basile for masonry and restoration work. Moreover, Chris is the individual that is actually engaged in the labor.

Description of Work: Chris did brick pointing around the perimited of the house and fixed stone steps which have gotten loose over time.

Description of Work: When you deal with contactors these days in this economy, you always wonder why they NEVER return phone calls then tell you their slow or need the work. I called Chris Basile on a Sunday afternoon and within 1/2 hour my call was returned. We set a date for the following Wednesday between 6-7 and he was there at 6... We did a walk around, I told him what I was looking for and he made some additional suggestions as well. He said he would have a proposal in the mail within the next few days. I got 4 estimates in all, but I had to tell you, the young man's character was what stood out the most to me, not to mention my wife also thought the same and the price was right there with the rest. Obviously we chose Chris who told me over the phone he would start Monday or Tuesday the week of the 15th. Monday it rained, Tuesday he was here at 7:45AM and started on the repointing of my roof. By Thursday, late morning he had that job completed and the touch up pointing around the rest of the house we went over! I COULD NOT be happier with how things turned out. The workmanship was excellent from the Chimney down to the touch up work. This young man knows his craft and was very very neat as well. Description of Work: Poured cement for new steps (two) and topped with flagstone. This lead on to an area that had asphalt that Chris removed and laid a very nice brick courtyard (the edging and continuation to yard was excellent) The finished work is beautiful and just what we wanted.
