Pete Darlington was recommended for painting by the company that replaced our downspouts and gutters We are so happy we called him. Pete and his staff did an excellent job pressure washing, masking areas not to be sprayed and the actual painting of the house.They were courteous, prompt and dedicated to their job making sure we were satisfied with every aspect of their work . Our bi-level, with an addition, is 37 years old and was faded and full of mildew and algae. It now looks like a new house! Two days of rain and a holiday could have been a real delay but they worked on a Saturday to finish the job! We highly recommend Darlington Exterior services for your pressure washing or painting.

They were great. They were on time and reasonable. They were very professional. The guy that came was very professional.

Pete and son pressured washed the house one day. He and his team arrived the next day to tape off parts of the house that weren't to be painted e.g. windows, doors, brick, roof. They then spent the next 2 days painting the siding and trim. The team worked continuously. As a matter of fact, Pete .had to remind them to take a break for lunch. They were extremely courteous, professional, intent on doing a quality job. I hadn't contracted for painting the soffits/trim of the enclosed porch. With the rest of the house painted, the difference was noticeable. Pete didn't like the looks of that so said he'd do that too for no extra charge. Now, there's someone with pride in his work and his company. The siding looks great, the clean-up was perfect and I'm happy I chose Darlington. Highly recommend.

We obtained a number of bids but were most impressed with the work that Pete has done in the area and the pride he shows in his job. We felt that if we were going to spend the money to make the house look new, we wanted to be sure that we had the best person for the work. We were NOT disappointed! Pete and his crew did an incredible job of restoring the faded aluminum siding on our split level house. They removed 30 years of chalk and faded paint, then spent more than a day taping and covering areas to ensure that there was no overspray. They then painted the soffit and trim, then primed and painted the entire house. The house looks brand new! We are also very glad that Pete helped us select the colors, as the original color we had chosen would not have worked as we would have wanted. The neighbors are also very happy with the work they did! We are very satisfied with the care they took and the quality of their workmanship. Thank you Pete for giving us a NEW exterior!

It went well. Pete came out one rainy day in July to do the pressure washing. The next week he came and masked everything off and primed and painted. The masking/priming/painting I think took 2 days total. He had to come back to do the shutters. which I think took an afternoon and a Sat morning. I thought the job Pete did was top-notch. He was very neat and considerate of my neighbors. There was some overspray on to my neighbor's deck but to my knowledge, Pete is taking care of it or already has. This happened despite covering much of the deck which was disappointing but I live in a place where the wind is seldom still. I have gotten a lot of compliments on the job from neighbors. The house looks great. I would definitely hire Pete again to do this. He wasn't the cheapest estimate I got but he by far was the most thorough and neat which was very important to me. He knows what he is doing which is worth paying for. My thanks for making my mid seventies town home look like new.

I called Darlington Exterior Services to get an estimate for some painting I thought I needed done. Pete (owner) came out the next day and gave me honest advice instead of an estimate. I don't need to do the painting right now, I can go ahead and have the gutters put up on the wood as it is, and any painting that needs to be done can be done at a later date with no danger to the wood.

Pete arrived at our home on time several weeks prior to job to give an estimate. After inspecting the home, he gave us an estimate. We agreed on a date. He arrived on that date, washed the house, and presented us with the bill as agreed. It was an excellent experience. I would definitely recommend him.

I really liked them because they would go the extra mile. Pete Darlington did it himself and he was very thorough and wanted to make sure that the job was done right. He spent a little extra time to do that. They were fair and thorough so I'm sure the price was the same. We would absolutely consider using them in the future.

The work today, over five years later looks just like it did when they did it. Peter Darlington was very professional and did everything he said he would do plus more. The work is just fantastic and to this day looks new!

Pete Darlington sat down with me and explained everything that he would provide. He quoted a price for a two tone color scheme, and a second price for a three tone color scheme, then put everying in writing. After comparing his quotes with those of several other contractors, I chose Darlington. Pete scheduled our house for a time in October, did all of the painting work within a week's time. Later in the month a crew member returned with the fascia and replaced it. At that time I asked for addition work to be done, and it was done within a day. There was a small problem with the front door due to heat expansion that caused the edges of the door to become stuck to the frame. It caused blemishes along the edge of the door. This was corrected promptly, and without cost to me. Also, two of the decorative shutters had developed deterioration problems unrelated to the painting. I bought new shutters and asked Pete to have them put up. He offered to do that, and to also paint them at no cost. Needless to say, I was more than impressed with Darlington Exterior Services! The painting of the outside of the house was professionally done, and looks terrific. The additional things that were done to the door, shutters and around my garage doors were done well, done promptly, and some without cost to me. My wife and I are exceptionally satisfied with the job done by Darlington, and we heartily recommend Darlington Exterior Services to everyone in need of exterior painting, and even for other exterior work done to their homes. All of the workers, from Pete to Bill to the others were professional, kind, understanding and a pleasure to do business with. I can't say enough about the wonderful job and exceptional service provided to us!!

Pete Darlington and his crew did an excellent job. From start to finish Pete and his personable crew worked hard to make sure everything went perfectly. Siding, soffitts, gutters, and facias look like new. We would and have recommended their services to others. We couldn't be more pleased. We were impressed with the fact that the owner was hands-on as well as supervised the entire job from start to finish.

My wife and I are extremely pleased with the results. Our 23 year old home looks brand new. Also very important, dealing with Pete and his team was a pleasant experience. Pete was patient and helpful as we tried to hone in on our final color choice. Likewise, his team was responsive to our questions and requests and worked well together to properly prep the job, support Pete during the painting and clean up after the job was done. On inspection of the property after they left, not a drop of paint on the roof, on the shrubs or the sidewalk and not a plant stepped on or a tomato plant broken! Perhaps the best summary of the experience with Darlington Exterior Services I can give is- they treated us ( the customer ) as they would want to be treated and they treated our property as if it were their own.

It went very well. Pete explained clearly what he would do and wrote it down in a detailed estimate for washing and painting the siding ($3950). He had pictures of other jobs to illustrate his points. Also, I had checked with 2 friends whose houses he had painted, both of whom gave him good references. We agreed to wash (Pete does this part himself, since there is some art to it) the siding and trim and see how the trim (which had been painted 9 years earlier) looked. After power washing, the trim paint needed to be redone. Since it was Duration, with a lifetime warranty, SW sent out Pete's rep and the SW guy agreed to supply the paint to repaint the trim, which I then paid Pete $2500 to do. Once the scraping and sanding of the trim was done, the trim was masked and sprayed by Pete (his crew varied from one to 4 guys, depending on what was being done, and they always seemed to be working productively, making the job go faster). Next, they masked and sprayed the aluminum: primer followed by finish coat. Note: they ran into some unexpected damaged wood and worked with me to do some extra painting to leave the house looking good til I could get around to rebuilding the porch railing.
