Description of Work: I got a call back to get someone out to give man an estimate. The gentleman said he will call me back but never did. I made another attempt to have someone call me back. Left a message and I have yet to have a call back. As a new customer, this gives me pause. I will look for another company as a result.

Description of Work: The gentleman I spoke to advised he me would send someone the following morning to look at my heater, I took the morning off from work no one called or showed up.

Description of Work: We had a Toran Heating install a new heater unit last year. When we were having problems with it the next winter we called the company to take a look. They came promptly the next day and were very courteous & helpful. As it turns out, the unit was working perfectly and the issues were caused by the structure of our chimney. They didn't charge us for the service.

Description of Work: Toran replaced a steam boiler. I had several service providers come to my house to give me an estimate. Toran was the only service provider to measured and count my radiators and identify the fact that my current boiler had not been properly installed. My old boiler made a great deal of noise every time it kicked on. Toran re-plumbed the pipes leading to and from the new boiler Toran installed and added new steam valves to every one of my radiators. Toran's price as about 20% higher than the lowest bid that I received. But Toran installed a larger, better built (according to online reviews) boiler and today I have an absolutely silent heating system. I HIGHLY recommend Toran.

Description of Work: They installed a new furnace connecting to my existing duct work. It was Trane furnace. They got here around 830am and were done by 1230pm. They were courteous and worked fast and now I have heat! Their estimate was the best I received (Dwyer and Unique were the other two estimates).

Description of Work: Worker came to my house- could only inspect the general heater and water heater superficially- had a difficult time getting behind the both of the heaters= just said my water heater would need to be replaced soon and could give me some estimates- not worth the money i spent to have him come-

Description of Work: Our old AC system died, and we were considering installing a new AC and a new heater. We sought out a number of companies and requested estimates. We then joined Angie's list and found Toran. Given the A rating here, and the A+ on the Better Business Bureau, we wanted to try his service and give him a chance to bid on the job. He gave us the best offer for the job. Understanding that we were anxious to move forward quickly, Art came out on a Sunday evening to see our old system. We had had three salesmen come out, and none of them seemed to notice what Art saw - that the AC unit would not fit through our back door or through the alleyway. Therefore, we needed to change our equipment order. Even though we now needed to revise our order and therefore its price (actually to a smaller and less expensive unit), I believe Art gave us a good deal. In spite of this last minute change, Art and his crew were here as scheduled on Tuesday morning. They laid drop cloths around the house, and I hardly heard them work at all. They were back again on Wednesday morning. I spoke with them about a trip I had on Thursday and my inavailability on that day, and the team stayed until 10 pm on Wednesday to finish the job. They were missing a single piece, so the guys came by first thing Thursday morning to finish up. Art later came by to do a final inspection of the work and to explain to me what I needed to know for upkeep. He saw one item he wanted to improve on but, understanding my tight schedule, agreed to come by this week to leave everything an ideal state. I never had to worry about the men, nor did they make any unnecessary noise or disturb my work. Art is extremely polite and hard working. He is an honest businessman who wants his customers to be 100% satisfied. I would definitely use them again and recommend their services.

Description of Work: Mike was a true professional. I had a poor experience with a separate company that came out to fix my air-bound forced water heating system. Mike quickly came in, saw a solution after investigating the system, and fixed the issue. Most important was the way in which Mike educated me about my system, pointing out how i can fix the same issues moving forward. He also pointed out areas of concern with the system (my pump is old and on its last legs). I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service i received. One issue was that due to the weather, he was late by about 1 1/2 hours; however, he did contact me about 30 minutes prior to our 8:30 am appointment to inform me of this. Again, very professional. The price was below my expectations given the time he spent at the house walking me through the solution. I recommend Mime to anyone with a heating issue.

Description of Work: Even though December is the busy season for Heating / AC contractors, Toran's employee was waiting for me when I pulled up to my house, on schedule and on time. He came in and went right to work and did exactly what was ordered, plus gave me quite a few tips on needed improvements. The price was as quoted. I was pleased with Toran's service and will use this company again.
