Contacted a couple times and he just didn't seem interested in fitting me in.

I purchased this service through an Angie's list deal. Once I was able to get in touch with John he was very responsive and had a drywalling job done in about 8 hrs total (over 2 days). This was a relatively small job, and I appreciated the responsiveness and quality of work despite its small scale. I had a lot of trouble getting other contractors and handyman services to respond and agree to do this smaller scale job. The ones who did respond provided estimates that were 2-3 times that which John had charged. In the past I have had numerous difficulties finding quality work for smaller jobs, so it was reassuring to be able to get this job completed without extra hassle or expense. I would certainly utilize John again for a job of any scale, large or small! He was excellent!

It went very well. John and his son Brian were here on time, called when they were on the way, were couteous and interested in the job. The only thing we couldn't complete was a sink installation that presented some challenges we chose to defer.

Custom window replacement. Removed the old windows and installed 5 new ones in just over a day. Required pre ordering if the custom sizes, which came in fairly quickly. Required mortar around the new windows to hold in place. John and his crew did a great job. Again his communication was excellent. This is the second job he did for us and I would hire again.

All these tasks were completed in an efficient and satisfactory manner. It was definitely a valuable service and I will use the John Elliott company again for future jobs.

3 service dates requested. Vendor responded 1 day late via e-mail& said to call for immediate response. Called vendor & 5 days later I still have not heard from John Elliott Co.

Ordered Oct 7.Sent 2 messages with 3 available dates and our phone number; no response; communicated with Angie's List who said they would communicate with supplier; did not hear from supplier; resent them another email with suggested dates of availability; did not received a response; called Angie's List on Oct 21 and asked if there was an alternative at the same price or close to it - there were none; asked for a refund and received this form within 1 hour.

Good work, fair price and great communication. Couldn't ask for more.

I had bought two Saferacks garage organizers from Costo that needed to be installed. Plus, my wife wanted to switch out all the bathroom faucets from the stock builder faucets to the Moen faucets she likes. I had contacted John two weeks prior to the date of the work, and he was very responsive. On the day prior to the work, he called me to ask for the type of work that I needed done, so he can bring the right set of tools. Each Saferack organizer is 8 feet long and 4 feet deep, so John was meticulous in measuring and letting me know where the boundaries of the organizers were going to end up. I had originally asked him to install the organizer right against the far right corner of the garage, but it turns out that the organizer frame would then obstruct the window and window blinds so he made a minor adjustment to account for that. The final install looks wonderful, and I can't wait to finally clear up my garage clutter, so I can finally park my car in the bay. For five bathroom faucet replacements, both John and his coworker were super efficient. They were able to replace each faucet in about 20 minutes, and they were also very good at cleaning up after the replacement. PS: I used two Angie's coupons (for 4 hours of work), and I paid for the extra hour of work as total work time was 5 hours.

Elliot was very pleasant to work with and seems to have done a fine job. He spent a rather long time in the hot attic and was very pleasant about the conditions there. He was careful to confer with me about the with the placement of the lights. His son did a very nice job with the wood trim. He checked with me before spending time doing something with the trim that is not routinely done but would be more aesthetic and take more time.

They had the necessary skills and completed the tasks that I had outlined.

Punctual, left the work area clean, did a great job. I'd use them again!

It was a little complicated due to the air return. I appreciated him analyzing what needed to be done and his expertise.

John Elliott was very professional, thorough and worked very cleanly and quickly. I would definitely have him back to complete any home repairs. I would be confident that the work would be completed expertly.

Went very well. John and his son, showed up on time, and did the work required very efficiently. Very considerate of my place while walking in and out. John even took time to consult with me regarding additional work for the future, in addition gave me a tip regarding my air conditioner.

He did a fine job. We spent well under 1000 dollars. It went great. We were very satisfied. He came when expected. He moves fast. We were very satisfied. He does the work and he does a good job. We were very happy!

Everything went well. John called me when he said he would. When he called, he was prepared to set the installation date. He came when he said he would come. He called well ahead of time to state that he would be a little late. When he came, he was very professional. They ran into a little problem when installing one of the toilets but John went to the hardware store and got what he needed. The job ran a little over the time slotted so I had to pay an extra $50.00. It was worth it. He even called the next day to make sure everything was OK. i will definitely use John again.

great responsive time via phone and always arrived on time. he and his son were super friendly and easy to have in the house while doing work. kept me up to date on progress. would definitely hire again.

I was very happy with John's work, from beginning to end. His big deal was a great value and a huge help to me in my bathroom renovation. He returned my calls promptly and arrived on time. He immediately went to work on my projects and finished them in the estimated time frame. The quality of his work was excellent.; he is also very versatile in the range of things he can handle. He treated my home with respect and cleaned up nicely when he finished. I would definitely recommend John and will likely use his services again.

I called to set up an appointment to have my gutter reinstalled. Mr. Elliot wanted to know if I was home all day. I explained that I was teaching until 12:30 each day until the end of the week. It was my expectation to make an afternoon or weekend appointment. I explained to Mr. Elliot that my day time schedule would open up the following week and he requested that I contact him then. I was very confused as to why an appointment couldn't not be made from 1:00- 5:00 p.m or on the weekend. Nevertheless, I called on Monday to set up an appointment. I paid for 4 hours of contracting services for $125 and I only needed my gutter to be put back on. So I called on Monday morning and Mr. Elliot informed me that he had a family obligation and would try to fit me in on Friday. This is not the level of service that I expected at all. I was extremely dissapointed in his lack of professionalism and due diligence for setting up an appointment. It has been an extremely rainy summer and to wait two weeks for not even a confirmed appointment time is upmost unprofessional and inconsiderate. I am extremely dissatisfied with this Angie's List contractor and have rated him a grade F for the reasons aforementioned.

Once John and I connected via telephone and set the date and time for him to begin working he and his son arrived on time, reviewed the work that needed to be performed and worked to get everything completed. I purchased an Angie' s List deal for a general contractor for one man 4 hours or 2 men for 2 hours. I had purchased 2 deals to allow for the 4 hours of two men. The job went well over the time but John verified the extra hourly charges and continued working. some of the work was tricky as we had Harwood floors being finished and work in some rooms needed to be done in a certain timeline. John worked great around the project and came up with alternatives if they couldn't finish in an areas on time.

My husband and I have been extremely impressed by John Elliot's skills and his professionalism. He is also very thoughtful -- He actually came out on a Sunday so that we would meet our deadline. John also gave us some great ideas for our new business, an art gallery. We would highly reccommend him, and plan to use him for all future contracting work.t.

John Elliott General Contractor are great. He was very responsive and gave very good prices. He was willing to do a list of small items, which was great. I didn't have any one big job for him to do. I was very happy with his work. He did a great job and it's great to be able to basically, have a guy on call who will fix the little things, really. We're using them next week for another job. The quality of his work is nice. I have no complaints. The little stuff he did for us was great. He's very easy going, so he's a good guy to work with. I found him through our neighbors, who raved about them.

John's work is very good. He's also extremely trustworthy and conscientious.
