Description of Work: We were looking at refinishing our oak cabinets. Claire came out promptly and measured a talked to us about possibilities. She then provided us with 3 different possible bids. Though we ended up getting new cabinets instead of the refinish, these people helped us understand our project and spent much quality time with us. Thank you! I would definitely recommend them for refinishing and restoring cabinets.

Description of Work: This company is absolutely outstanding. They renewed the finish on kitchen and bathroom maple cabinets; protected other spaces with plastic sheeting, were friendly, thorough and responsive. I highly recommend them. Worth every penny.

Description of Work: After a few bids on repainting our kitchen cabinets, one that was extremely high and another whom never followed up on getting a counter top replacement bid, we found Refinish First, LLP's advertisement in Angie's List monthly magazine. After our initial meeting with Claire and later with Dave we were very pleased to hire Refinish First for the painting project. Their bid was very reasonable and subsequent additions and deletions were made. We were kept informed of the costs of any changes. They were very helpful in suggesting that we add panels to the side and back of our L-shaped cook top cabinet, which enhanced the visual effect. They built and installed a cabinet underneath the built-in desk in the kitchen to add more storage space. Dave and his paint crew started on time and kept us informed on the process. They were all very nice and concerned about the disruption the process would cause. We are very pleased with the outcome. Claire suggested the granite company we hired to install counter tops. Over all this was a very good experience.

Description of Work: They recoated our Maple kitchen cabinets. Four coats of water-based polyurethane, sanding between coats. Stained the faded areas to match. Tented the kitchen, cleaned up all the dust they created. Whole thing took a day and a half. It's been almost a year now, and the cabinets still look like new. Much better than the original lacquer finish. I would definitely hire them again.

Description of Work: They painted my 1983 oak kitchen cabinets inside and out. The newly white cabinets really brighten up the room and look beautiful! I was particularly impressed at the way they were able to completely enclose the kitchen area while doing the work and protected the rest of the house from any mess. I got lovely "new" cabinets for much less than what I would have had to pay for new ones. Additionally, they referred me to a great company for granite countertops! I would recommend this company to anyone considering upgrading their cabinets.

They took great care in not making a mess the floor, stove ect were all covered. The job was finished on time and they cleaned everything up after they were finished. I would call them if you would to have your cabinets refinished

+ -1 moreDavid and Claire of Refinish First are both very professional and friendly. They are a pleasure to work with! They removed all cabinets and drawers to take to their shop to re-finish and then began work on our kitchen and bathroom. Everything was taped off to protect surrounding areas from dust and smell in such a way that still made things somewhat functional for us during the work. We changed the color of our existing cabinets to a darker stain, and then had them install hardware (which previously did not exist). The entire project took approximately one week, and the results are beautiful! They were also helpful in coordinating with the company replacing our countertops, so that the work could be done in conjunction with one another. The quality of the work was first-rate. We highly recommend Refinish First!!

They took the time to look at the cabinetry in our hallway to offer an estimate on that, too. They clearly outlined the many options and provided a very detailed estimate outlining options and prices. We were wanting to get a ballpark figure so we could start saving the money for the project. When we get the money together and the project done, we will definitely work with them.
