Description of Work: I needed to cancel the free estimate and was able to reach the company at 11:30 pm to cancel for the next morning. I was shocked when they picked up that late. Pretty incredible and the process was smooth and they followed up to see when I wanted to reschedule.

Description of Work: Homemasters replaced the gutters on our entire two story home. I feel that they were professional through the entire process from bidding to installation. They gave us three options for doing our repairs. They scheduled us quickly. The installers arrived on time, were efficient and cleaned up everything when they were done. Couldn't have asked for anything more!

Description of Work: I purchased the Big Deal, $133 for Complete Gutter Cleaning. They were fine.

Description of Work: They did our roof (well half a roof, since the other half had been done). This was tough since they had to match the previous roof. We had some odd requirements that they were able to meet. They also replaced the gutters on that side of the house. In the end they gave us some cups and mugs - not necessary, but a fun touch.

Description of Work: HomeMasters came in to do a general roof inspection on an Angie's list special. They found that a fallen tree limb had poked a hole in the roof. This was the cause of a previously unexplained damp spot in our dining area. HomeMasters helped coordinate with our insurance company to minimize the cost to us and then did the repair, including a careful match of the shingles on the repaired area with the rest of the roof. The results were quite satisfactory, and we have hired them to add some skylights in our living room.

Description of Work: This is the second time we have used them to clean our roof. First time was perfect, roof looked clean and gutters were clean. However this past time, we weren't as happy. The roof did not seem to be as clean with a lot of moss still visible and one gutter/drain in particular is even more clogged. I will call to see if it can be rectified.

Description of Work: They were not able to do the work I needed but did recommend someone and was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. I would use for projects in the future.

Description of Work: I purchased a package deal through Angie's list for cleaning gutters and roof treatment for moss prevention. A salesman came to my home to go over the package and assess the work that needed to be done. He offered me a couple of options in addition to the package. I chose one option which added about $70.00 to the original Angie's list deal. The salesman asked for payment upfront which I was not comfortable with, even though I had repurchased the deal. (I think customers should pay a deposit and then give final payment once work is completed.) The crew arrived 45 minutes early and began setting up before I arrived home from an appointment. They apologized for parking in my driveway, but didn't offer to move the van. The crew did not have all the details of the order, which I realized when they came to me after 30 minutes saying they were done with the work. When I inspected their work it was incomplete, so I asked them to scrape the moss off the shed that was part of the agreement. I went back in the house and came out a few minutes later to see that they had cut a huge limb off my neighbor's magnolia tree. Not only did they NOT check with me in advance about cutting the tree, the tree limbs fell on my roses and tulips, damaging all of them. In addition to that damage, the men had not done a thorough job scraping the shed roof. I asked them to do it again. There was no way that they could have completed all the work on the roof of my house, the gutters, the garage and the shed in less than an hour. No way. |I spoke with the men directly and they apologized, but it didn't change my overall impression that the work was poorly executed. I also spoke twice with one of the managers at Homemasters. He was polite and checked in with his crew, but offered no compensation for the faux pas. The crewmen asked me what I wanted to do with the wood from the branches, leave it or cut it up. I asked them to cut it up and place it in the yard debris recycling, which they did. The crewmen were conciliatory at the end, but I felt like I could have gotten someone to do the job for far less and with greater care. To top all of this off I got a bill for the work, and I had already paid for it. I won't recommend home masters to anyone.

Description of Work: I bought the 'roof cleaning' but when the guy came out to look at it he recommended a new roof, (I'm getting solar panels) so I had it appraised by several of Angie's list roofers, all professional, nice / picked a different one, and they were cool and returned my $.

Description of Work: I contacted them after I viewed their special on Angie's list for a new roof. I have a smaller home so I thought I would qualify for their price. On e there, the guy got there early and already did bid, which was a few hundred shy of double their special. The guy then started accusing other roofers of shoddy work if they could do it for less. He acted as though I was wasting his time, and kept trying to talk me into his roof....this isn't my first rodeo, and as I told him I was collecting bids. I got in my car, shaking my head thinking their Angie's list deal was a joke, unless you are covering a small shed or cottage. Would never contact them again, not only bc of their pricing tactics, but the arrogance of their salesman.

Description of Work: They did not go up and clean attached garage roof because "it is a separate structure." I believe they wouldn't do it because that meant they would actually have to do some real work as there was some wisteria that needed to be cut. I would never use them again.

Description of Work: I purchased a gutter cleaning 'Big Deal' from Homemasters in October. I didn't hear from them so I called and was told that they had such a high volume of 'big deals' purchased that they would call me to schedule a time to check our gutters and clean them at a later time. A month went by before they finally called to schedule. An employee came by a half-hour earlier than scheduled and told me it looked like we didn't need anything more than a gutter cleaning and he didn't see any need to up sell me. 'Up sell me?' I thought. Our gutters were cleaned in January, nearly three months after my purchase. I received a call and letter from them afterwards stating that we possibly need new gutters and to contact them for info/pricing. No, thanks. I think we'll go back to our regular roof maintenance company instead. |They were polite and courteous on the phone, but we won't be using them again. |This is the second negative experience I've had with purchasing a 'big deal,' and I don't think I'll purchase any more in the future.
