I called to have the gutters cleaned. They were friendly on the phone and willing to work around my schedule. On the day of the appointment they arrived on time and when done, went over what was done and suggested a couple of gutter improvements I might want to consider (but weren't pushy about the suggestions).

I am so delighted with this company. From the person who takes the order to the men who clean and finally a follow up call to see if I am happy with results. How nice is that! Everyone friendly but professional. Hard working men doing the job on site and very responsible. I used the Angies"s Deal special and later added moss retardant service. This is the second year I have used this company and will continue to do so with this level of performance. Thank you Homemasters, Inc.

Very well. They asked about whether the gutters had screens, if we wanted them removed/replaced and we discussed how they've been done in the past and how full they were from maple leaves & fir needles. They got right to work and finished in a very reasonable time. They cleaned up the area completely afterwards.

We ordered to work to be done after purchasing the service through Angies List. Schedule was such that we had to wait about 5-6 weeks. Turned out to be just as well, since lots of leaves fell through November when they came out. They were professional about the work they did. We were not home at the time they did the work, and it would have been nice if they had left a card or notice that they had been there. They did call about a week later to let us know the work was done, check on whether we were satisfied with the job, and let us know that some work needed to be done on the roof based on their inspection.. We are looking at another contractor to give an estimate on the roof, since it's still under warranty. I did ask Homemasters if they would like to bid on the work given that it was under warranty but have not heard back from them yet.

I was very pleased with the service provided. I thought the price was very reasonable. I decided to wait for rain to see how well the gutters were sealed and because of our dry weather this fall, that took awhile. After the first good rainstorm, it appears that all but one corner was fixed. I called James and scheduled a time for him to come out and fix it. He showed up at the scheduled time and promptly repaired the one leak at no additional charge. I actually called on the scheduled day to say I felt bad that he had to come all the way out (we live in the country) to only fix the one corner and that I could probably fix it if he told me the name of the caulk he used. He told me that it was ok and he would come out and do it. After watching what he had to do to fix, I was very glad he came out. Thank you James for the great job.

Job was completed in one day. Final price came in as originally quoted. Great job all around. Excellent people to deal with.

Very well. They showed up on time, cleaned up, and were very responsive to all issues that I had.

I want others to know that they need to be clear about what they are getting. I didn't understand how they were going to install the products. I spent a lot of money on something I am not sure and if I really wanted to get it done exactly. The people need to be very sure with the communication about what they are doing and how they are doing. They gave me a lifetime warranty.

This was a Big Deal arrangement to have my gutters and downspouts cleaned. The crew, whom I didn't meet because I was at work, left the place very clean and free of leaves - even the patio and the walkways around the house. And they kept in touch with me during the scheduling process, which I really appreciated.

I signed on for the $119 gutter cleaning offered through this company. I waited a week or so before calling them to schedule an appointment and by the time I did, they were booked solid for weeks due to many others who had gotten in on this special offer. It also took a while to schedule the appointment, as they base it on where your home is located. Once we were scheduled in their books, they came promptly and did a wonderful job. They were fast, efficient, friendly and did a great job of cleaning up the area all around the house, including the back deck after they finished cleaning all the leaves and pine needles clogging our gutters. The property hasn't looked this good for quite a while!

My credit card was charged one day later by Angie's List, well ahead of any service actually provided, which essentially guarantees payment to vendor despite quality of service provided. I called Homemasters Inc to schedule an appointment and I asked to be informed when workers would be arriving so I could be home. My mistake was probably scheduling for a Friday afternoon. The two workers arrived late (traffic issues from Salem). They were done within 45 minutes (they seemed to be in a hurry). I saw later that they didn't even perform moss treat my roof over the mudroom (separate level). I thought this was a very mediocre, rushed job. To add insult to injury, I then received an additional charge of $35 from Homemasters due to having a steep roof. I don't mind paying additional charges when conditions are disclosed up-front, however this was never mentioned in the ad. Overall, I was disappointed with the quality and lack of up-front communication of charges on this job. I will not be using this company in the future.

For the most part gutter installation was fine. One screw was not driven in and another had missed the roof truss. Not a big deal. Gutters appear to work fine in the rain.

They did a really good job. We liked the people. We got a good discount for finding them on Angie's List. They were very professional, hardworking and courteous. They didn't trample our flowerbeds. We were very pleased. We'll recommend them to anybody.

I received a quote over the phone. I received a call on a Wednesday night, confirming installation scheduled for Thursday. The installation did not happen on a Thursday, and I did not receive any kind of communication as to why it didn't happen or when they would be out to install. Just as I was leaving for work early on Friday morning, they arrived to begin the installation. Something was said about a project on Thursday ran a later than expected, which is why they didn't make it out on Thursday. I wish I could give a higher rating. Overall, I am pleased with the work...the skylight doesn't appear to be leaking anymore (yay!). However, it is the lack of communication and punctuality that was so disappointing. I was planning to call another company Friday morning, and if they had not showed up when they did, I would have been at work and not known about it and quite possibly spent more time trying to find another company.

They did a great job, hosed everything down, and worked quicker that I would have imagined.

bought coupon for gutter cleaning through Angie's list, called on Wednesday morning to schedule service, nobody called back, called again on that same Wednesday night, the person said somebody would call me back to schedule the work. 2 days later still no call, I called them again and the person said someone would call me next week on Monday or Tuesday. I do understand there is a high volume of work this time of the year, but waiting for almost a week just to schedule service? This is not the customer service I want, I cancelled.

It couldn't have gone any better. They let me know when they arrived, on time, and I could hear them scraping the offending moss and 'guck' from my roof which is only @10 years old. I am sorry to say that when my roof was replaced many years ago I was never told it would need to be cleaned every 3 years and my ignorance could have cost me a new roof. They completely cleaned my roof, patched a hole in my roof >>>without charge<<<, cleaned up after themselves and let me know when they'd finished what they'd done and that I should have my roof cleaned again in 3 years. I will again contact this company as they were efficient, honest and went the extra mile, so to speak. Also, a big Thank You to Angie's List for this promotion. I had to empty my savings account, but it was more than worth it as it had to be done anyway. This company did a great job and I knew I could trust them before they even started, which relieved alot of stress. We've had some rain showers since then and No Leaks!!!

I purchased a special from Angie's List and then called to schedule and appointment with Homemasters. That was simple enough and was able to schedule an appointment, although it was 3 weeks out. Also, the day before, I had to call to confirm (I prefer the company to) and when I wanted to confirm the time, the woman I spoke with was not able to do so, but promised to have someone call me when they had a better read on the approximate arrival time. I had scheduled for a 12-2 time slot, so assuming that was still accurate, went out to run some errands. Arriving home at 11:30am, Homemaster's workers were already on site and working. The 2 gentlemen that came were very friendly and courteous. They introduced themselves and let me know what they were doing and how long they planned to take. While they were working, I received a call from the Homemaster offices saying that they were trying to get workers out to my house as soon as possible. I let them know that the workers had already arrived. The gentlemen were quick and thorough and I was pleased that of their own initiative, they nailed the gutters back in, in areas where they had come loose from the house being painted this summer. This was not part of the scope of work, and I probably would not have noticed if they had not, but I appreciated them taking the extra step to do so. They also cleaned up, not only the deck and porches, but around the entire house and yard! I have not had one worker or company do the same in the past. That sealed the deal for me. The roof looks great, the gutters are cleared and secure, and I appreciated the workers pleasantness and professionalism. I will continue to use Homemasters in the future for roof cleaning and gutter services.

They were on time, cleaned up after themselves and were very respectful. They were on budget and were about a 1/3 less than the other estimates I received. They were respectful of the weather and covered things with tarps accordingly.

The inspection/bid process was smooth and the inspector gave some suggestions for how to solve some issues. Due to the mix of pine and broadleaf trees around my home, he suggested a micro screen gutter blocker, but I ultimately decided that the cost (around $1300) for the covers was not worth it, so I just ordered the gutters.I then saw a deal on Angie's List for half price gutters from Homemasters, which they were willing to honor in my bid, bringing the overall project cost down by about $250. At that point I accepted the bid. On the day of the install, the crew showed up to do the cleaning, which went well with no issues. They then tore off the old gutters, and uncovered a few rotten boards. They offered to replace the boards and I took them up on it (extra labor is $100/hr), and they were heading back to their shop to get the siding truck, and that's when the only real problem in the whole process happened. When the order was placed, the gutter replacement color had been listed as brown (which was the color of the old gutters). We had called and asked for black gutters instead, but it apparently never got changed on the order, and the guys were planning on installing brown gutters. Since they didn't have any black gutters in stock, we had to reschedule the gutter install for the next week. The rest of the install went without a hitch - they showed up the following week with the black gutters, replaced 2 rotten boards with new facia, and put up the new gutters. There was 1 area where we later saw water was getting past the gutter's edge and running down the side of the house, and Homemasters resolved the issue quickly with some additional flashing.All in all I am very pleased with the experience, and the only reason this review isn't an "A" is due to having to take an extra day off work for the gutter repair due to the color mistake. All of my experiences with the crew and the company were great, and I would definitely hire them again.

My experience with Homemasters began when I called them after seeing their reviews on Angie's List. I wanted to see if they installed plumbing vents and attic fans. The voicemail said I would receive a return call within 24 hours. When that didn't occur, I sent an email expressing my displeasure. I later received a telephone call explaining that the company had suffered an internet failure and that delayed their call. That didn't make sense, given that my connection was by telephone, not internet. Still, I explained what I wanted, and was told that their handyman did the work I wanted and that he would call me. When I hadn't heard from him in several days, I had the work done by someone else. He finally called a full week after I was told he would contact me; I find that unsatisfactory. However, I thought perhaps it was the handyman's performance and not Homemasters, so when I saw their Big Deal coupon for Roof Cleaning, I bought the coupon. Once again, I was disappointed. The description of their service for this coupon said "blow off all debris", but when attempting to schedule, it was explained that only "loose debris" would be removed. My purpose for the coupon was to remove patches of moss/algae that wasn't "loose". The coupon also stated "moss and algae treatment", but that wound up being a spray for the whole roof, not removal of specific moss and algae. Finally, I was quoted a higher surcharge for a home over 2500 square feet than what is stated on the coupon, and essentially discouraged from using the service because I had a steel roof. There was nothing mentioned on the coupon about specific roofing materials or types. When I was told that using a pressure washer on my roof would be over $1000, I decided to ask for a refund.

I called on 8/1/11 and left a message about needing a bid on new gutters. I never got a phone call back, or a bid.

Overall, it was a very good experience and I would use them again. They have an affordable plan for roof moss prevention.

When I made the inital phone call, I was lead to believe most of the large moss chunks would be removed during the debris removal and the smaller chunks would be killed by the zinc application. My roof was not overly saturated with moss so I figured the service would be exactly what we needed. When the service was provided, very few large chunks came off during the debis removal ( a process done with a blower). I decided to wait the two weeks suggested by the company to see if it would just die off. At the two week mark, a good portion had begun to turn gray and die, however there were still multiple patches of green. In addition, there were also chunks of white zinc under our dormer. I assumed this would wash off with a good rain. When calling Homemasters to express my concerns about the green patches, they were very friendly and quick to offer another service to address the issue. However, if I wanted the large pieces removed it would be an additional cost for "deep cleaning". They scheduled the free service to be done two weeks later and when completed they called to touch bases again on the process. I again waited the two weeks and seen a slight improvement but there are still some small areas of green and large chunks of zinc under our dormer (and still is months later). I think their process would be a good way to prevent moss from growing, but I would not use the process again for moss removal.
