+ 1 moreVery punctual and did a good job cleaning the roof and gutters, and treating for moss. I have used their service before and was pleased with their work. The only question was their evaluation of the condition of the gutters (which I have cleaned on an annual basis). The written evaluation they left indicated that the gutters were in poor condition, when in fact they are only a couple of years old, and I fail to understand how they could be in poor condition. I didn't read the evaluation until after they left, so I didn't have a chance to discus it with them, but I don't think it was accurate.

+ 2 moreI initially called to replace just a section of gutter that had rusted out. The rep who came out showed me other places where rusting out was not as obvious. He took measurements and provided a quote. He explained through everything in the quote, which was nice. The quote was higher than I was wanting to pay, but he said he would throw in a roof clean/maintenance since I was that had it as a deal on here and lowered the quote a smidge. I did experience some communication issues with the office regarding said roof clean. I was under the impression that it would be done separately but it was done on the same day. I contacted the office 3x times over a week period before it was realized that it was all done the same day. This is understandable as project paperwork can wait in a "done" box. I was also billed for something that was included in my quote, but that was quickly resolved after a phone call. The supervisor of roof maintenance personally came out and verified my roof was cleaned, which was more than expected.
Description of Work: Replacing my gutter and downspouts for a 1964 sq ft home.

+ -1 moreIt had been a rainy morning, so the gutters had water in them. Leopoldo and his assistant took buckets and a leaf blower up on the roof, and unclogged the downspouts. Then they blew the leaves out of the gutters with a leaf blower - a practice that was new to me. The assistant left a small pile of leaves about three feet up one of the roof gullys. I asked Leopoldo about it, and he said the assistant was new and then something to the effect that they don't clean roofs, just gutters, but he would remove the leaves if I wanted him to do it. I said there was no point in their going up there again for a small bunch of leaves. My experience is that if someone is cleaning leaves out of gutters, they also check the rest of the roof for any they have missed. They were here for approximately 20 minutes total. Imagine what the regular hourly rate must be, even including trip time.
Description of Work: The storm gutters, which run completely around the house eaves, were cleaned.

+ 1 moreI was very happy them. They suggested I needed gutter covers. About two weeks or so after cleaning them out, they were full again. They didn’t try to push me into purchasing them though. The man who was out was very professional & cordial. I was really impressed with the fact he didn’t try to push me.

I called them after the service and they said that the moss was all killed and that it would eventually just fall off. Well it didn't. I don't know if my expectations were too high since I'd never had it done before, but I was expecting the roof to look nearly new again since it is a less than

+ -1 moreI was not very impressed. They completed everything when I was at work and they missed one gutter section. They also applied moss powder stuff under roof awning so the rain did not come in contact with it. I had to go up on roof in the summer and brush it off becuase it looked bad.

The only complaints were that the service person came quite a bit later than scheduled, and my neighbors did complain about the debris from the roof cleaning getting on their property. However, the service person did a good job of cleaning up the debris, and did a good job of cleaning and treating the roof.
Description of Work: The contractor came to clean the roof of any moss and debris, as well as treat the roof to prevent moss build-up in the future.

+ -1 moreWe attempted to remove the orginal gutter to do some repairs to the facia board underneath. There was some dry rot at the corner that we were able to dig out and fill in with wood epoxy. We had a difficult time removing the original gutter resulting in the gutter being too damaged to reuse. At that point we called Homemasters to install a new gutter for us. They were able to match the original gutter and schedule and appointment for us in within week during the busy summer season. Their crew showed up promptly and finished the job in less than an hour. The replacement gutter was of a better quality than the original. We are very pleased.
Description of Work: Homemasters replaced a 24 foot section of gutter on our garage.

The worker arrived on time, did a great job including cleaning the gutters and cleaned up the ground afterwards. Couldn't have asked for better. We were extremely pleased and will hire them again when we need something in the future.

Description of Work: I bought a coupon from Angie's list for gutter cleaning via this company (january). I called, they got me scheduled quickly and the worker came out on time as scheduled. I asked him if i needed to sign anything and he said no. 10 minutes later he came to my door again and said the gutters were clean but he would run water through them anyway. Total service call was 15 minutes. Several months later (August), i got a call from someone in the company saying that i had an outstanding balance of $35 and it was going to go to go to collections if i didn't pay immediately. The lady was nice but incredulous that I hadn't responded to emails and letters from her company with this bill. First of all, i wasn't expecting a bill as I had bought a coupon. She said that this was because my house was bigger than 3000 square feet (this was a surprise to me especially since no one had told me about this before they started the work). Secondly, since i wasn't looking for a bill, any email or mail i would have gotten i would have considered junk mail and not paid attention. So, i thought it was a good deal, buying a coupon but ended up paying more for no value to me AND being threatened with collections,. I paid the amount even though I did not agree with it.

We were going to turn in an insurance claim, but called them and they went right out and had a great inexpensive fix to add an additional vent to the roof and take care of the hole at the same time. They went out the very next morning and took care of the whole thing and even sent us pictures of before and after. We are going to be using them on more jobs! Holland Properties, Inc.

+ 1 moreWe were very please with the service. So pleased we have retained them to replace our roof. The technicians were very professional and left our yard spotless after the cleaning. Only the cats were a bit freaked out with the noise and stuff falling off the roof. :-)
Description of Work: This service was purchased using an Angie's List Beg Deal coupon. Homemasters removed the moss from the roof, cleaned the gutters, and inspected for any roof damage. It took about 4 hours to complete the service.

Description of Work: Special was considerably less than bids I'd received. Moss had been accumulating on the roof during recent rainy seasons, don't recall last time we removed it. Workers were efficient and did a great job, roof looks almost new! Still admiring the work a year later. Price can't be beat.

Received a call a few days later to schedule the service 4 weeks from the call, now 7 weeks from purchase. Vendor showed poor flexibility with regard to service schedule. I decided to cancel and called Angie's List for a refund, which they gave without issue.

+ -1 moreThey didn't clear off as much as I thought they would. They turned the stuff from green to black which was good. They pointed out some other problems, they said they would get back to me about the additional work but I never heard from them. When they were here, the guys were respectful but they could have gotten more business out of me if they had followed up. For what they did, I didn't really get the quality I would have liked to have had. I would have paid more to get the quality I wanted. I expected it to be fairly cleaned off. They were two hours late. They weren't very responsive because they didn't follow through. It took a while to get on the books.

+ -1 moreI had a gutter that was out of balance, and as a result, needed repositioning. When they realigned it, the area of overflowed stopped, but then a new area of overflow began with the next hard rain. I called, and they said that they suspected as much could happen because they actually needed to install totally new gutters for the problem to be fixed, and for that, I would have to pay an additional amount for a second visit. I did, and the problem was fixed, but then, four months later I get a call claiming that I never paid for the second visit. Unfortunately I can't find a copy of the receipt, but know that I paid. Now they are mad at ME, because they don't have record of my second (non-Angie's list) payment.
