The HomeMasters team arrived for the scheduled window of time and proceeded with the work. While I was at home, I would not have had to have been. During their first visit, about 18 months prior, the roof was much more in need of attention, and I do feel that with regular visits my roof is in better shape and certainly looks great.

Appraiser came by, reviewed the damage and had the crew out the next day to repair the wind-damaged downspout.

Homemasters was prompt about coming to do the job, and completed it just fine. However, a few days after it was finished a representative from Homemasters knocked on the door to tell us that our roof needed to be replaced. He explained what his crew had discovered on the roof and why it needed to be replaiced and we invited him to come back at a later time to give us his estimate. The estimate turned into a lengthy high pressure sales pitch. We told him we had to get other estimates and that we would get back to him. He called my husband at work almost every day for a number of weeks trying to persuade him to choose Homemasters. Frankly, it became so annoying that we decided to go with anyone BUT Homemasters. It's a shame, because they did a good job on the cleaning and they had a competitive estimate for the roof replacement, but they blew it with the high pressure sales tactics.

The workmen arrived on time which was 9 am. on a Sunday morning. I pointed out the area and explained what was happening. But they understood prior to arriving what the issue was and assured me they'd done this type of repair many times. I was then given a detailed explanation of how they were going to cap one end of a section of gutter, cut holes in the two affected gutters and install a piece in between the two that would allow the water to flow more efficiently through the gutter system. James Rogers, the owner had given me the same explanation on the phone when I initially called about the issue. The guys went to work and within about 40 minutes or less they were done. The installed piece match my gutters and most of all - it works! I no longer have a waterfall when it rains. My front porch stays dry in downpours and I have put a door mat there again as it stays dry. I am very, very pleased with the results. This is why I depend on Homemasters for my roof's maintenance and gutter needs. They are knowledgeable, dependable, efficient, professional and responsive to my calls for help.

The Big Deal cost $119 for home gutter cleaning. We had called in advance to discuss the layout of our home and were told if we wanted the upper story cleaned that would cost extra so we decided to skip that and just stick with the terms of the Big Deal. Once the crew got on site they told us that the Big Deal did not cover our garage's gutters, just the house, so we would have to pay extra for that. That made no sense to us since the garage is attached to our house, not a separate structure, and we felt like they were just trying to charge us more on the spot to recoup any discount they may have given us through the Big Deal. Although they seemed to be busy while they were here (they sure used lots of water!), their cleaning methods were ineffective. During the next big storm a couple of weeks later, we were up on a ladder cleaning out the garage gutter because the water was flowing over the edge.The gutter by our back door was also plugged so we cannot imagine what they accomplished during their visit besides walking on some of our landscaping.

It was a smooth and easy experience. They came and did the work and put down a chemical that kept the moss from building up on the roof... it is the first time in years that someone adequately cleaned the downspouts so I didn't have an overflow on my front gutter.

Well, they arrived as expected, and started to work. The roof was cleaned by using shovels and scraping off the moss, which worried me a little about the gritt on the roof tiles being removed by all the scaping that was done. They then cleaned the gutters. When they were done, they left. After they left, I noticed that I could still be moss spots on the roof of the garage that they missed. I need to mention that almost six months later I received a call from Homemasters, asking me if the men had told me I needed a new roof. I said no. He told me that I did, and asked me if I wanted them to come out and do an estimate. I replied no. First of all, I had a complete new roof put on fourteen years ago, and it is guaranteed for 30 years. This sounded very funny to me, and felt like they were just looking for business.

This company was quick to return my call to set up an appointment to receive services. They arrived on the date and time scheduled. I was not present at the time of the service but inspected the work when I returned. As near as I could tell the gutters were cleaned of all leaf and debris on both levels of my home. I live in a 2-story home that has a pretty high roof line on the second floor and a very small lot to access the roof. There is a huge tree next door that literally fill up my gutters with leaves and debris every fall. This provided did an excellent job of cleaning all of the gutters. I would certainly invite them back again next fall.

Within a few days of me purchasing the deal on Angie's List, I had a message on my home answering machine saying they'd be out on X date next week to treat the roof. It was the easies thing I've done for home maintenance. I didn't even have to be home! They treated the roof and left me some information on it. As their information claimed, the moss came off gradually over the next few weeks and it's been over a year since it was treated and there's still no moss! It was a great experience and I will contact them again when the moss comes back (2-3 yrs they indicated).

They were great. On time, professional and did a very thorough job.

I wish I asked more questions before work started. I think a pressure wash and zinc coating would help more than a blow. I got a quote to complete the job later.

When we called and told them we bought the big deal and wanted to schedule our roof cleaning we felt that we suddenly became a low priority. We had several scheduling issues and phone calls with a rude scheduler that were just too much of a hassle so we canceled the deal and received a refund.

I purchased the Homemasters gutter cleaning service from Angie's on November 19th. It is now November 28th. We were going out of town for the Thanksgiving holiday, so I called immediately to get something scheduled since we've been getting more rain than usual. I was told that their scheduler would call me to set something up. No one called. The day we were leaving town, I called again. I was told that a scheduler would call me. I kept checking my voicemail while out of town to see if they called, but no one called - again! When we arrived back home, I checked to see if Homemasters had called, and they hadn't! I was getting pretty steamed by this time. I decided to give Homemasters a third chance, since the holiday might have impacted them, etc., so I called them again on Monday. And again I was told someone would call me to schedule the cleaning. And again - no one called! Incredible! So,I have had it with this company! As far as I am concerned it is totally unprofessional to blow off a customer completely and not even bother to schedule a time to deliver a service the customer has requested and paid for up front! (in case you weren't aware, if you purchase a service from Angie's List you get charged immediately, before any service is delivered. The money doesn't go to the service provider, it stays with Angie, so getting a refund is straight forward, although it seems I may have to wait 10 days). I mean, how hard is it to pick up a phone and tell a customer when you will be out to deliver a service? What's more, is that this didn't have to happen. After all, they actually had me on the phone three different times and the woman I was talking to apparently had no capability to schedule me herself or put me on hold, contact the scheduler and connect me to him. I spent 30 years as a consultant helping corporations improve their service delivery processes, and let me tell you, Homemasters has a serious process problem! I contacted Angie's List and requested a refund of my money, which they were happy to do. If you are looking for a professional gutter cleaning service, I'd go to someone other than Homemasters.

They were incredibly professional and efficient, from the scheduling through the follow-up. They had an efficient scheduling system and I was able to get an appointment a few weeks after I called. They did end up running a little late, but they kept me apprised of where they were. The actual service was excellent and they cleaned the debris up, which was really important to me. Finally, they followed up with a phone call and a mailing, which we really appreciated as well. Overall, an outstanding experience.

All work performed was completed in a very reasonable time of about three days. I was kept informed of what was being done and approximately how long it would take, which was extremely accurate. The work done in the bathroom in removing the tile countertop involved electric tools and lots of chipping, etc., but Tony vacuumed and cleaned as he worked so that the room was In good shape throughout the process. Whether he was drilling holes to hang the curtain rods or cutting wires as part of the installation of the ceiling fans, he tidied the areas as he worked and of course once he finished. He was constantly working without downtime even during one very long day of 10 plus hours. Everything installed still works perfectly and repairs are still repaired. I wouldn't call anyone else to work in my home even if I had to wait weeks for this company's service. That's how much I appreciate the work performed, professionalism exhibited and results obtained.

Everything went alright. It wasn't perfect.

I took advantage of one of the Angie's List offers for discounted service- had gutters replaced on my house. The estimator, Steve, was courteous and professional. After he made the initial estimate, his office determined that I'd need a different (and slightly more expensive) gutter, he notified me of this immediately & explained why it was necessary. I had to call their office, once, to ask questions about my paperwork. Staff was helpful and courteous. The work was performed on the date that was specified. No trash or rubbish was left behind, and no damage appeared to have been incurred to the premises. I had a 'covered' gutter installed, to keep leaves out of the system. Haven't had any discernible problem with this. Homemasters offered financing through a local bank- and I've had positive interactions with this bank, as well.

I wrote back to him with questions, about the work he was recommending, which he initially responded to in clear detail. When I contacted him later in the year about doing some of the recommended work, he did not get back to me. This was puzzling. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

The Homemasters crew arrived on time. Their team lead was friendly and professional. The team did a wonderful job in a timely manner and reviewed the work with me upon completion. I highly recommend Homemasters.

They were very quick (an hour or two total), and did not use any toxic chemicals. They arrived on time and were very professional. The result was perfect. Would definitely use them again. We had a small billing issue to deal with, but it eventually got resolved.

After I placed my order, I never heard from the vendor. I think I have waited a sufficient amount of time now, so alll I want is a refund, Thank y ou.

The crew (two men) arrived on time, did the work and provided an estimate for additional work (gutter replacement.) The job was done properly and they cleaned up after themselves.

My son had cleaned the gutters in August, but it was clear that the downspouts needed unclogging. Saw the Big Deal and called them. The service date was out there a bit, but probably normal for the industry. They came with no fuss and bother and cleaned the gutters thoroughly. More importantly, they unclogged the downspouts, which proved to be a much larger task than I had suspected. Butt they did a thorough job. We have had a bit of rain since then, and the gutters and downspouts worked flawlessly. What is more, we have been having problems with the drainage between our house roof and a small gazebo-like structure that almost abuts the house. THIS FIXED THE PROBLEM! A Thorough Job indeed! The partial blockage had been causing the problem and others had missed this in the past. Highly recommend.

In December of 2011 we had Homemasters clean our roof and gutters and apply zinc powder to the roof to kill moss. This year (2012) we requested that they phone us on November 12 so that we could schedule the service again for December when the leaves were all down, but without the zinc, because the zinc run-off left a line of killed plants all along the dripline on the peaked side of the roof (the area without gutters). My husband was told that "no zinc" would be written on our order. This morning--November 12--we returned home to find that Homemasters had come and done the service, including putting zinc powder on the roof when they were asked not to, and without phoning us to schedule a day or time. Now, because they came and performed the service without even calling first, we have had to put tarps over our plants along the dripline to try to protect the plants, and we will also have to pay to have another service (not Homemasters, obviously) come and clean the roof and gutters again after all the leaves have fallen. This unpleasant (and expensive, for us) situation could easily have been avoided by this company calling us to schedule their visit, and being attentive to the problem with the zinc powder. We do not know how much we will be charged for this service, because they did not leave a bill, but of course we will pay for it, since it was work performed, even if not when we wanted it and using the zinc powder, which is no doubt fine for some homes, but not for ours.
