It took several appointments, reappointments and attempts before it was done. The first time it was horrible. Siding was cut in a small piece at the bottom of the panel and put up wavy, with the gap between old and new siding left with a raw edge, globs of paint on the trim pieces which were a different color, gutter pulled loose and left, and no note left to explain why the job was not completed properly. The second time they were told to replace the full panel, not just a piece of it, they did not, they just replaced the top portion, still no completion of the job and no note or anything left to let me know if/when they would be back. When I complained the man was rude and dismissive. The third time they finally did a fairly good job, still have to do some touch up painting. I had to buy additional paint because they used it up on the bad jobs they had done. I took additional time off work because I wanted to make sure there was no misunderstanding of what was needed. At 67 I don't feel like doing all this stuff myself; I still work full time and have too many other things to do. I am very disappointed. I have much I need done but sure don't want them to do anything else for me. What a headache!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It worked out really well. It was a fairly complicated job and he did a good job. We spent an additional amount for the materials. He diagnosed the problem very quickly and performed the service within the 3-hour period. I'm impressed.

Contractor arrived on time, scoped out the work and executed without any delays

I had purchased a Big Deal $225 for Roof Cleaning, Maintenance, and More. They came out and they were nice hard workers but they were NOT professional at all. They broke over 40 tiles on my roof, the chimney flashing on one chimney did not match the other chimney at all and wasn't even attempted to match, they didn't trim the flashing, and they did a totally sloppy job to say the least. They just wasn't careful or seemed to pay attention to things at all. I would never use them again, their work was atrocious.

I was very disappointed. I have used them before and they were excellent. I was not home when they did the work. However when I got home, all the windows on my deck were covered with splotches of dirt from when they cleaned the gutters. I know it was them since I had cleaned the windows a few days before. I had to go out and reclean the windows again. Since that time I have noticed other splotches of dirt on my siding. I also found that they had put the stuff cleaned from the gutters in my outside garbage cans and even under the cans. While they did not say they would haul away what they cleaned up, they had always done that in the past. Also, I had bought a special for the gutter cleaning through Angies List. The special said they would call and schedule. After a few weeks of no call, I had to call them. Somehow they magically had an opening right away. I wonder if others have purchased the special and never gotten a call and maybe forgotten about it.

They got a lot of work done in the time allotted. They were quick and efficient and got more done on my list than I thought was possible. Everything works perfectly. They cleaned up after themselves, which I always appreciate. They gave me practical advice on future projects so I can plan ahead and make the best use of my limited budget.

I found Homemasters through an Angie's List Big Deal. This project was not without some bumps, they had a personnel problem that affected my job, but the bottom line is that they persevered until the job was done to my satisfaction. They widened the window sills in my sunroom so that my plants now have more growing room and I'm very happy with the job they did. They are returning to install a garage storage system they sell later this month and I'm excited about that. The staff has been diligent, professional and friendly and I look forward to working with them in the future.

I was happy with the service provided. The work was done well. When a small section of the grouting began to crack again, the handyman, Tony, returned and fixed it. I would use them again.

It went fine. When they had me inspect the work at the end there was only one spot that I had them redo.

All went well. I was at work and they were able to do the work and when I came home everything was clean and the job done. Very professional and I had a report about what was done and if future work was needed. I still need to follow up on the suggestions, but the roof is looking good. I would definitely use them for future work.

They were prompt, communicative, did their work well and then left the place in good condition (no debris left). As I said, when there was a miscommunication, it was promptly cleared up, and the job was done.

Very well. The front gutters were clogged so when it rained, water came streaming down onto the front entrance. Since I was having a large group for dinner in just a few days, I asked if they could come quickly to clean out the gutters. Within 2 days they did so. I was very appreciative.

We have gutter covers we installed ourselves about 10 years ago from a big box hardware store. None of these gutter covers were ever removed by Homemasters' workers so that our gutters could be cleaned. Maybe they cleaned them without removing the covers. We are not able to get up on a ladder and inspect the gutters. All I saw anyone do was brush off as much of the moss as they could with a push broom. Then they were supposed to apply zinc sulfate to eventually kill the rest with the help of rain. Should be no problem since we live in the Pacific NW and the rainy fall season had begun. To us, it didn't look like any chemical was applied to our roof, but we waited just in case we were wrong. The remaining moss on the roof stuck around, so we called Homemasters to get someone out to check our roof. On 11/29/2011, a Homemasters' worker agreed that they didn't apply the zinc sulfate, so he applied it. We had to have it re-done a second time on 12/2/2011, and this time it worked and killed the remaining moss. Roof looked good. We had to lower their score on quality since it took 3 visits to complete the work. We gave them an A for professionalism because they nicely responded to all our questions and fixed the problems. As of today (7/8/2013), I am still unsure if they ever really cleaned our gutters. We have relatives clean them now. But our roof still looks great and we don't seem to have a moss problem. Hope I didn't just jinx that.

We have a lot of tree growth around our place, and so we get of moss, so there was a slight coating of moss and they cleaned around okay, but they didn't necessarily go around all over the roof to clean out the moss, they put a copper oxide or something like that on the lines of the roof, which would be washed down over the roof by the rain, and it would kill the green shade and for the most part, it was effective, but it didn't get rid of it to the extent that I had expected. The problem is that I don't know, if I misinterpreted the big deal that I had purchased. I thought they would scrub the whole roof which they didn't. There was still some green left, and when I asked them about it, they said that the coating would get rid of it over time but it didn't. I don't know if anybody else would have done it as I wanted it. I expected them to scrub the whole roof and they didn't. Everything was fine, except my expectation wasn't met.

They actually squeezed me in pretty quickly. I bought it and they were able to squeeze me a week later and they had come and gone without any notice, they cleaned up and it was great. They were just here and then my roof is clean and they had gone. I would use them again in the future.

I bought an Angie's List coupon with Homemasters for $225. The guy on the phone with Homemasters told me that he has his roof treated twice a year... I wasn't sure if he was serious or if he was trying to make more frequent customers----but after they treated my roof, the moss turned brown as if they sprayed and killed it, but it never really went away, and indeed I called another company after 6 months. I went back to my previous roofing company, which will treat once every 3 years. And there is no moss growth on my roof during those 3 years... I don't even have to think about it. Maybe this isn't usual though, and I was just spoiled by a company with a much better treatment process, I dunno. You decide base on your past experiences with other companies. But if I pay for my roof to be cleaned----even if I use an Angie's List coupon so it costs less than usual----I want it to look clean.

The gentleman arrived on time and was very polite, cleaned the gutters but the debris from the gutters was not cleaned off the deck. I did not expect to find a mess on my brand new back desk. To be fair I was on a conference call and could not check out his work before he left.

I wasn't able to make an appointment. Called to set up an appointment two separate times, but took about three weeks before I received a response to set up an appointment. The second time I called I told the receptionist I needed the work done very soon, otherwise I had to look for someone else and asked if she could tell me when I could expect to hear back. She made it clear she had no idea and couldn't do anything about it. Was fairly cold and not helpful. Ended up having to get someone else.

Richard arrive late and then had to go to Home Depot to find the supplies he needed -- blue tape and sandy latex grout. He finsihed the job within three hours -- regrouting a 16 foot long single line of grout where the countertop and backsplash meet. He also put a latex bead around the kitchen sink. The work was okay, but when the sandy latex grout dried, there were several obvious gaps in a couple of spots which I took care of on my own. We asked Richard to give us an estimate to replace our carpeted bathroom floor with tile. His estmate, which didn't include a new seven foot backsplash for the bathroom, was more than double the price we paid to get the job done by another company.

I remember talking to them about not using our debris bin because we had a lot of stuff in the gutters and they did anyway and I remember they scratched up our deck. So I didn't use them again this year. So unfortunately it was not very favorable. I don't think they charged me anything additional other than the big deal amount. The price was fine.

Everything went as expected. Good job.

Saw a coupon on Angie's List for roof replacement for $4995. Made an appointment with a dispatcher for somebody to come out and give me an estimate prior to purchasing the coupon. The appointment was made for 5pm. At about 2pm, Craig called me and said that he will be at my home in 30- 40 minutes. I waited for Craig but at about 3.30pm (an hour and a half later) I finally called Craig to see if he was still coming over. Craig indicated that he was close by but delayed in traffic. A phone call would have been nice. Finally, at 4:30 Craig showed up. He spent about 10 minutes measuring and calculating. He gave me an estimate of $13k for 3300 squares of roofing by his calculations+ old shakes tear off and applying new plywood. What happened to the 50% off? I informed Craig that his was the highest estimate out of all estimates received without "discounts." He replied "thanks for wasting my time" What!!?? This guy is rude and unprofessional. Stay away from this company and hopefully they will go out of business soon.
