I wasn't too impressed with them. They were here for less than 20 minutes. It hasn't rained since then so I'm not sure if they really cleaned the gutters or not so I'm concerned about it. I did tell them, did you clean? and they said "oh yeah, we know what we're doing so we were done." It was odd, to say the least. In the past when I had my gutters cleaned, the person had actually gone up, cleaned them up and had put water through to see whether or not the water will get all the way to the other side but these guys didn't do anything like that. I did call the lady and told her about that and she said that next time it rain, if I have a problem to call them but I haven't had a chance to try that yet.

We had purchased a big deal and the service was excellent. We were really pleased with the service, they cleaned up really well, and they did a very good job. The people who I spoke to, when I called customer service were very kind, and they were always calling to let us know what they were doing and when they were doing, and so their service was great all the way around.

They did a good job on cleaning everything out. They were punctual, on time and they seems to do everything, they don't leave any junk around and they cleaned up after themselves. Gutter cleaning is not a real intricate job and they did it. Pricing was fair.

It was fair. They did caulking and grout repair, which was good. They did some siding repair, which was only fair. I felt the siding work took a really long time to complete.

They were able to get out here before they had originally stated. However, they weren’t really clear on when they could come out, so that could have been better. They didn’t charge extra for a larger house as we thought. In their inspection, they recommended we get our gutters replaced. We have not followed up on that yet.

Went well. Smoothed texture on one wall in small bathroom.

Mold began to grow after the first service call. The company came out and redid the areas where mold was forming. Unfortunately, the grout was not neatly applied.

Bought the Big Deal on AL for three hours. The initial visit did not go very well as he tried to upswell me on buying a full day. I then waited and waited to have the person call me back to complete the Big Deal. Finally, I called and they came out and replaced the grout. The charged me for supplies, no biggie, but only worked two hours of a three hour big deal. The person providing the service was very friendly and asked if there was anything else we needed. I had him give me a bid on repairing two drawers. We agreed on a price and when he came out the price had increase due to a service charge. We were not told of this. I asked the man twice if the amount was correct and he told me that it was policy to charge every time they come out. Not very cool.

This company has some really good people working for it. I was referred to them from a neighbor who has a nice roof. I was impressed with the job they did and they followed through solving all my needs and requests during and after the completion of the job.

Getting in touch with the company to schedule service was very hard. I received no response from email. I tried calling and left a few messages. When I did get a call back finally, it was a voicemail so I had to call again and leave a few more messages on their answering service. No one who answered the phone could help me. The last message I left was that I wanted a refund and so then I finally got a call from the owner who was very apologetic. He scheduled my service for the following week. When the day came for the service, the handyman arrived 2hrs early and I wasn't home. I called him back and he said he could not come back that day because his schedule was too busy. So I called the office again asking for a refund, and then they managed to send him back a few hours later. I wish I had just taken the refund because the work was poor quality. It was not at all what I would call a "restoration". It was a patch job and after a few days it started to crack. My expectations may have been too high, in that I thought my shower would look new again. Even still, I don't think the work should have cracked and separated within 2 days! After a month it pretty much looks like it did prior to the work being done.

I thought that their price was reasonable compared to the other quotes that I got. It was a really good experience. They were on time. They came when they said that they were going to come and it was really easy to set up an appointment with them. They also worked fast and well.

Within a couple of days after we called, Homemasters came out to our house to provide an estimate of the cost. We were given a special price because of the Angie's list referral. I have my roof cleaned each year, and in spite of the many Douglas Fir trees we have, fortunately there weren't any major hurdles. We did have to follow up a couple of times with their office to establish a day for the work to be done. This is why I gave them a B for responsiveness. Nonetheless, on the day and time scheduled, the crew arrived at exactly on time and got straight to work. They were done in about 90 minutes and did a great job on the roof as well as cleaning up afterwards. I will likely be calling them again next year.

The service was okay, I had a hard time making an appointment and it took a lot of connections to get the right person to schedule, and he was supposed to call me, but he didn't' and I had to call them back. It was my first time to do the caulking, and I didn't ask them if they are supposed to remove the old caulk. I asked them to re-caulk in the shower room, and around the bathtub and along the edge of the sink, and so it wasn't the entire bathroom. I had purchased a big deal for 3 hours of caulking and they finished the work in 1hour and 20 minutes, and they just left, when they thought they were done.

They did a fine job. It's hard to judge on cost because every roof is different. My roof is pitched and they did a good job with it.

They did an okay job, but they kept bugging me to have it redone again. They didn't want to redo the roof, they just wanted to redo the moss killing.

They arrived to perform the bid on-time. I accepted their bid at that time and put down a deposit. They said they would call to schedule the work. Several weeks passed when they called with the date of service. They arrived on that day and did the work as promised. They said I did not need to be home, so I was not here to watch the work. They did an excellent job on all points. They did not ask for the final payment, even though someone was home, rather they mailed me a final bill. Very pleased with work and services performed.

The Homemasters Representative came with a comprehensive package regarding their company, current licensing, and insurance coverage, plus other available products and services. The work was discussed. It is important to note here that the $400 value Angie's list coupon was for a "removal of loose debris with a high volume air blower." The roof had not had any maintenance In 5 years and therefore the deep cleaning was indicated. The $400 coupon value was deducted from the $895 resulting in the $495 charge. The service will also include a FREE Maintenance treatment in 6 months - a $195 value. The two person employee crew arrived on time. They laid down tarps to catch debris from the moss removal being careful not to damage plants or other items. They explained that the power washers were set to be a low pressure high water volume to "deep clean" the roof. The light grey roof was very black and was returned to the original color after treatment. The only concern during the cleaning was water and dirt came raining down through the master bathroom skylight. In speaking with the workers and the Project Manager, they assured me that this occasionally happens with as the force water spray runs up the skylight external wall slightly lifting the skylight off it's gasket allowing water and debris to pass through. The Project Manager called and instructed the workmen to hand scrap the moss away from the remainder of the skylights which resolved the issue with no further internal "rain". He assured me that the skylight will not leak this winter due to this event. The on-site lead man apologized for not making me aware that skylights can have these issues and offered to come in and clean up the water and dirt which I most appreciated even though I had already cleaned up. All in all, I am satisfied with the work and the professional response to my concerns and in any future work, I will request manual removal of moss around the skylights of which I have 4 on the house. 9/9/2013 UPDATE: Forest Grove Oregon had 2 days of down pouring rain. NONE OF THE SKYLIGHTS LEAKED! KNEW YOU WERE CURIOUS TOO. I reviewed the suggested maintenance information with the Homemaster's representative. He inspected the prior work and took close-up pictures of the 2 bathroom vents that have cracks and need replacing. We also discussed the 6 month follow up treatment for moss and algae prevention. Estimated time would fall in the rainy months which would allow the treatment to wash away. We have agreed that the treatment would be done in October at the same time as the replacement of the bathroom vent boot replacements. This plan is a win-win for both. Cost of 2 boots installed =$165. I appreciated the follow through and the answers to my concerns. I am confident to recommend this company.

Responsiveness to scheduling service after their initial assessment of my roof was prolonged and required me to call twice over a couple of weeks to finally get job scheduled. On day of work my appointment was "the first one on the schedule". They were to arrive between 8-9 am, did not appear until 1-2 pm. In between their arrival I called the office twice and I was given the run around with different excuses and down right lies. Finally "truth" came out that they had an emergency roof client ahead of me. Anyway I do not fault the workers, I do however fault the office for not informing of the time change and the reason, the workers can only be where the company tells them to be. Poor business practice to treat their clients and new clients with such irresponsibility! Gain a client through Angie's List-lose a client for future work?

As always, they did a great job of cleaning the roof, demossing the roof, cleaning the gutters, and cleaning up afterwards. We live in an area with lots of fir trees so we always have something falling on the house and clogging the gutters. They routinely do a good job.

To begin, I had some trouble scheduling this appt. I had paid in advance for a 3-hour handyman visit, since we'd just moved into a new place. When I called to schedule it, the woman took my info and said they'd give me a call back as soon as so-and-so got back in. Didn't hear back, and finally had to call them again several days later to get the visit scheduled. So not such a great start. When the handyman arrived (on time), we gave him a prioritized list of easier things to deal with, plus questions about the feasibility of doing some more difficult things. He was pleasant and efficient about his work, left each area clean and neat, etc. On the other hand, he wasn't really able to fix a couple of items, particularly a couple of problems with drawers in the kitchen. He did work on them, and whatever he was doing did seem to make them marginally better at the time, but in short order after his visit, the drawers went back to their old tricks of "catching" or scraping/making noise when opening and closing. Not a huge deal, but irksome. It just seemed to me that on several things, he went for the quick-and-dirty fix, rather than the careful, make-sure-it's-really-right fix. So I'd say the overall experience was a B, not an A. I might use them again, but it might depend on what I need done. Or I might try someone else, just for a comparison.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. He was actually good. He came out, he was quick, it didn't take him any time, and they were very nice. I was very happy with them and I was very happy with the product because it has worked out really well. There were no additional charges. It worked great. We use it to water the plants. It's wonderful. I would recommend them. I thought they did a good job, they were quick, and they were on time. They did exactly what they said they would do. It was a good experience.
