They came when we were out of town so we have not really had a chance to access but so far it seems like they did a good job. It did take a while to get the appointment.

Estimator (Doug) was very friendly, nice, and all of that. But, when I looked at the way he put together the bid, it looked very deceptive to me. the original "Big Deal" was $4,950 for a $10k roof up to 2,000 square feet. The very LOWEST bid Doug gave me was still $7,348, NOT 51% off a 2,000 square foot roof as in the description (mine is smaller than 2,000 square feet!) The estimate I got about a week after this one, from another local contractor, was just over $9k, which still seemed high compared to work that my friends and neighbors have had done recently. But, for me, the bottom line is that I felt I had been misled intentionally, with the hope that I wouldn't pay attention to the details. I still need a new roof, but for now I'll keep looking. I don't like being "played for a fool. I have owned and maintained my own home for well over 30 years now, and have learned to be very careful when planning major repairs and improvements.

I called the company directly before purchasing this big deal. I asked if the "Handyman" can do gutter cleaning and I was told yes, they can. So I bought the deal. When I went to schedule I said we want the gutters cleaned as well as small handyman jobs around the house (we bought 6 hours of handyman service) and I was informed that the handyman does NOT perform gutter cleaning, that's a completely separate crew. I bought the deal because, I was told the handyman can do gutter cleaning so, I am requesting a refund because the handyman indeed cannot perform gutter cleaning.

Sales, obtaining samples and scheduling was a bit difficult but the Roofers were outstanding! Due to a schedule change and lack of advance notification of schedule change, the roofers had to work around lawn furniture, many potted plants & hummingbird feeders and lawn art. The Roofers didn't damage a thing! They picked up all debris and nails. Roofers were excellent! I would use this company again.

Terrible experience! I purchased a groupon for the "VIP roof and gutter maintenance plus algae treatment for $249.00. From the get go my experience with this company was very disappointing. First, the person who took down my phone number took my phone number down incorrectly. When I told her she had taken down my phone number incorrectly, she said she would correct her mistake. Next, we had set up an appointment for the service person to inspect my roof to be sure he could complete the work for the groupon price. I waited and waited for his arrival at the appointed time. He did not arrive. I phoned the company and the receptionist told me he had come over inspected the roof, and said he could complete the work for the groupon price. When I asked why he didn't let me know he was at my house (you think he could have knocked on the door or rung the door bell to let me know he was here) I was told that it was not necessary to talk with me, but that he would complete the work at the appointed time. We then made another appointment for him to complete the work on Monday, October 28th from 8:00. At 9:30 he still was not here. When I called the company to find out what was going on, I was told that my appointment had been changed to Wednesday October 30th at 3:00 PM. When I asked why I was not notified of the appointment change, I was told they had called the wrong phone number (the phone number that had been taken down incorrectly initially) and a message had been left at the wrong phone number about the appointment change. At this point I was upset and told them that I had lost two hours of work time and would not be available on Wednesday at 3:00. They told me no problem as I did not need to be at home for the treatment. When I told them that would have been important information to relay when setting up the initial appointment, they told me that they should have told me when they made my appointment initially. She went on to say that the person who made my appointment initially and took down my phone number incorrectly was no longer working for the company so she could not say what had happened. Fast forward to Wednesday October 30th. I had expected that they would be here at 3:00 as confirmed on Monday. At 11:50 AM I heard a truck pull up to my house. I peeked out of the window to find the Honemasters truck in front of my house. I had just gotten out of the shower so I quickly dressed so that I could talk to the two men. By the time I got dressed, they were gone! It could have not been 5 minutes! How could they have possibly done all of the things listed on the groupon that they were included in this offer namely: "loose debris blown of roof with gas powered blower, all gutters and downspouts are cleaned by hand to ensure proper water flow, visual review of roof and gutter sections, the roof is then treated with an algae treatment along the ridge of the roof, Homemasters will complete this roof maintenance service with a survey of your roof and gutter system and will provide you with the results in your closing statement." I did not receive any paperwork other than an advertisement flyer from Homemasters. No written report, no oral acknowledgment of the treatment, no nothing! And all of this completed in less than 5 minutes? How can this be? My home is two story and is over 3300 sq ft. I feel that I was dooped from the get go. I am very disappointed at the lack of professionalism, lack of honesty, and lack of service. I will never hire this company again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. We really liked them. They were wonderful. They did an excellent job. They did everything. They cleaned up the yard and the driveway. They did a beautiful job on the roof. The man in charge was very helpful. They were very busy.

Great. Everything was addressed as discussed.

I was impressed initially by Greg Bray who gave us an estimate on cleaning - an Angie's List coupon - plus replacing the drains and adding new screening to the gutters. He climbed up on the roof, took a stick, and cleared two of the drains on the spot although this was not his job. I appreciated his initiative. But...on Tuesday, 10.1, Greg told me that he could get the work done by the end of the week or by Friday, 10.5 and when the scheduler called, they made the date October 8th. We were going to be out of the country that day for two weeks, but I agreed. Within 24 hours, another scheduler called and told me that they had to move the date out to November, 17th. I was very unhappy with that as I made it clear to Greg that I thought (based on his observations) that our gutter and drain issues were critical and needed attention ASAP. The second scheduler called back and made the date at noon on October 9th. I asked that they take a photo of the work as there was a good chance that we would not be home at noon that day. The second scheduler said that he would note that; they never took any photos. However, I did get a door tag saying that the work was done and when I checked it, it was indeed done. Then, I called Greg on October 22nd to get some references for the $2300 screening estimate that he initially gave me and have yet to hear from him. I don't think I will work with them again: My impression was that the Angie's List coupon (for which I had to pay 50% on ordering and 50% on completion) was a deal that Homemasters was not that happy about and so the scheduler was "playing with me" on the completion date. It felt like a "bait and switch" situation and left a bad taste in my mouth.

It went fine. I thought the workers were very good & did a good job. There were only 2 things that bothered me; (1) the salesman was more than happy to offer services that the workers didn't know he had promised. But I had windex & paper towels,so they cleaned the skylights like the salesman said they would. (2) They charged me a small amount for something I felt they didn't do. Customer service adjusted the charge and said she would check on some things and call me back. The things she was checking on mattered more to her than me, but she never called back, the charge was adjusted. But the work got done & I was happy with that, so I might even hire them again. The workers were very good & responsive to my request.

i wasn't home at the time, so I can't say much about the work done except that the gutters are now clear. The thing I really did appreciate was the great service on the phone and the way they fit me in, despite a full schedule, because my basement was flooding and my need was dire!

When I scheduled the appointment they were able to fit me in within a week of my call. They arrived on time. I thought they did a good job at cleaning off the roof. I will have to wait to see how the mold preventer works, they said it would take time and at this point there is still green mold on the roof.

I purchased the deal this morning and got a bid a few hours later from someone else who could do it a lot quicker (homemasters is booked for five weeks) and cheaper, I don't want to wait that long for service

Came on time and swept my roof and cleaned all my gutters and unplugged all the downspouts. Did an excellent job in a very timely manner, and I'm planning on using them again this year.

They were nice young men. They did a good. job.

I had called Home Masters a while ago to talk to them about scheduling my gutter cleaning until late October or early November, as I have trees that hang over the gutters on both sides of my home, and wanted the leaves all gone from the trees before I had them come out. The other issue was that I needed to have these trees trimmed away from my roof because some of the branches were actually lying on my roof on both sides. The lady I talked to told me that someone would be calling me within two days to get me into the schedule. I never got the call, and I got pretty busy so did not stay on top of it. Then one evening I came home late after meeting friends for dinner after work, and my son told me that someone had been out to clean my gutters. I had received no call that this would be happening that day, and I still had not had the branches trimmed back away from my roof. So I called Home Masters the next day, and talked to Jerry about what had happened, and he admitted that they "dropped the ball", and told me that after I have the trees trimmed, they will come back out and re-clean the gutters to make sure no more leaves have dropped into them. So, although there was a drop in the communication, Jerry was very willing to make things right. They did a good job and didn't leave a mess, and they did apply the moss treatment on the roof. So the only reason I'm giving them a B is because their communication regarding scheduling could've been better. They did a good job and I believe they are a good company and worthy of being on Angie's List.

I used them and they were good. I purchased the big deal during the Summer. It was for three hours of handymen service. He was good. I had a project that he worked on. It was not his expertise. He was fine. It was good experience.

They showed up when they were supposed to and cleaned the gutters. I got exactly what was promised.

Please credit my Visa account. I will find another company to clean my roof.

I took advantage of an Angie's List Big Deal offered by Homemasters Home Maintenance LLC of Tigard, Oregon for a roof replacement. Don Bruton, the sales rep and estimator, responded promptly, inspected the roof and presented me with a list of options for replacement of the old roof and offered a great selection of materials to choose from. Don performed very professionally, never pressuring, only offering advice and reasonable options. We agreed on a final price which seemed very fair for the work and materials offered. On the date the work was to begin the crew showed at exactly the time agreed and worked very hard, putting in long days. The crew was polite and considerate. I was indeed quite impressed with their work ethic as I realize how hard roofing in the hot sun must be. The job was finished in three days and the crew left the work site spotless. Don returned to inspect the work and we went over the site finding no flaws anywhere. I would most definitely use Homemasters services again as it strikes me that this company strives to do excellent work.

Initially, I was impressed. The estimator arrived on time and provided his assessment of our gutters. I suspected they needed to be cleaned and re pitched, but his recommendation was for replacement. I liked that my cleaning fee could be applied to further work. The arrangement for the actual cleaning was less impressive. After about 2 weeks from the estimator's visit, I had to call them to get an appointment. Then, they didn't show up. No call, no nothing. I called them again and was told they were down a work crew. A week later, the reschedule date was also a no go, but they did call. Finally, the 3rd time was a charm. I was mailed a form to say that my gutters were cleaned and that yes, replacement was still recommended. This was hard to rate because of the contrast of good and bad customer service. I imagine after a Big Deal, a company is swamped. But a no show/no call is very poor form.

Called for the $250 Angie's List Big Deal. Very nice scheduler asked if I would prefer a detailed estimate up front, as their crew only does exactly the service paid for, and if I wasn't sure what needed to be done, then it would help. Said OK and scheduled the estimator. The estimate person (very nice) came out. Said my roof needed a deep cleaning. Also needed roof anchors for safety given steepness of roof. Estimate was about $2000 (almost 10x price of the deal) and 2 months out to schedule them. Called a few other places for estimates; their quotes were even higher.... Husband and I installed the roof hinges/anchors ourselves and cleaned the roof and gutters in the two bad places in only four hours. We will now put down the anti-moss treatment ourselves, as well - that may take us another hour. Long story, but important for you to know that while this company is lower priced than their competitors, the roofing companies in the area are in high demand and do charge for it. You are better off doing it yourself if you can. Definitely spend the money to prevent moss growing in the first place!

Nice guy provided a detailed quote. They offered a maintenance plan which is ultimately their goal. But they seemed reasonable.

We bought a coupon through Angie's List for gutter cleaning. They did not call us to make initial contact within a reasonable amount if time, so my husband called them and left a message. They did not return his first call, so he left a second message before they called back. It took them weeks to schedule our appointment. They came on the specified and repaired and cleaned our gutters. They cleaned up after themselves and did fine work. Overall, I don't think I would recommend them, simply due to the poor communication. It was very poor and made us very doubtful about their legitimacy.

It was not good. They did not do much; they were there just for an hour mostly cleaning off some stuff. It is a way to get to your place and then find all other stuff to do at a high price. I am sure I would not need them again. They did not show up on time and I had to call them.
